and its pretty damn awesome. First of all, the intro is pretty damn spectacular. I'm only like 6 hours in, I just got to the part where Basch talks about Vaan's brother. But I hope the story keeps its pace up.

And the reason why Im already 6 hours in is cause I keep pausing and doing other things for a bit and because only Fran has the fire spell and the stupid Flan wont die any other way really. And so after every battle with flan I have to pace back and forth across the screen to regenerate mana.

Anyways, I think I know what I'm going to do with certain characters.
My main 3:
Fran with heavy weapons and armor(I know, strange choice)
Balthier with guns and light armor
Ashe with magic, blades and healing

Other 3:
Vaan with daggers and theiving
Basch with mace and heavy arm
Penelo with bow and support magic

Curious what people think. I know I should of probably left Fran with bow, but meh. Also, how long am I going to have to wait for Ashe, cause no magic user kind of sucks at the moment

changed my mind, Basch is gonna use swords, Ashe will use staves, and fran will have a backup bow

U lucky bas...okay...well Iv'e seen a few good screen shots that have caught my attention. But I really want this game, My bro reserved it, but took the money off to get another game...kinda pissed me off. But im gunna get it someday.

Yeah I started out with thinking I would use all my characters and have different weapons on each one, but of course as the game progressed I found just "Optimizing" the best weapons with my decked out characters was the best way to go.

Good luck with it though and definitely enjoy the play-through. I started out the game so fascinated with the mystery behind Basch, and even though I still love him as a character, I think my fave character in the game has to be Balthier. He's just the kinda guy you'd want to have your back and get into trouble with it seems.

I really like everyone so far. Even Vaan is ok.
Vaan is is kind of the typical ff character, but not nearly as "emo"
Balthier seems pretty cool, cocky attitude
Fran is just insanely cool and my group leader
Basch has a nice mysterious role
Penelo doesn't seem whiny but like an actual girl
Ashe is the only one Im not sure about, mainly cause I haven't really seen her at all, and what I've seen she seems kinda snobby

Yeah, I really don't have a problem with Penelo. The thing is, I really don't have a need for her either. She comes off as VERY mature for her age even though she looks like she's 12 at times. Probably has to do with having to grow-up mentally faster than usual due to her orphan status. Not a bad character at all, just not my most useful or one that I am immediately drawn to, appeal-wise.
