That's really kind of up to you.

I'd choose a picture you want to use for the background then choose a character or multiple characters for the main focal point.
The easiest way to make a signature is to simply find an image you like, crop it to a size that is sutable for a signature and add some text to it. The text can be anything most often your username, sometimes a quote sometimes both. Then add a border if you fancy. You can do all of this in MS Paint or preferably Photoshop which is what most people who are remotely serious about making sigs use.

I would suggest looking at other members signatures to get some ideas and maybe browsing through the tutorials section for some neat tips and tricks.

I'm presently working on a tutorial on how to make a simple signature, but I haven't even started it yet. I want to get it done before the end of this week, but things might come up in the mean time. I was only going to post it at this other forum I frequent, but since it will be benifical to new members here as well I will also post it here when I get it done, so if you can wait a few days you'll have that as a referance.

After you've made a signature you have to upload it to an image host I suggest either Photobucket or ImageShack, both are free. After that you go to your control panel on the forum, click edit signature, click the IMG button and insert the URL of your signature and you're all set.

What ive noticed you doing is adding just one tag, For example
CODE
[i]
If you make one tag, you must finish it like this:
CODE
[/i]

CODE
[img][/img]
Put a URL for a signature inbetween those two (it would typically end in .jpg/.gif)

If you are using the Interface up there, Clicking on the B/I/U etc, once you are done, make sure to click "Close all Tags"

but a tutorial w/o photoshop because i only have bitmap!.

Its all good cuz my tut is gonna have a beginer version using mostly MS Paint and the advanced version is going to be a little more in depth dealing with Photoshop, but its still gonna be simple. I honestly haven't even started it yet cuz I've been hanging out with friends all weekend, but I plan to get a good start on it today; hopefully even finished, but I guess we'll see how things go.

The easiest thing to do for a sig is just to find an image on the internet that you like and use that as your signature, you could even use Paint to add text to it if you like to give it more of a personal touch. And use either Photobucket or ImageShack to upload your images because they are free and reliable.

You can actually make some pretty decent sigs using paint it just takes time. The longer you spend the better it will look. Until I get my tutorial up I suggest finding an image you like and want to use as a sig, resize it if its too big, then upload it to an image host and set that as your signature so you can get familar with the process of setting a signature on the forum. It really isn't that hard and if anyone has any other questions just ask and I'm sure one of the other members can walk you through the process if I'm not here.
