Title: Several questions about FFX-2

ironic_lettuce - March 3, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
Hi guys

I was wondering if you could answer some of my questions regarding FFX-2?

I'd be very grateful :)

1. In Mt Gagazet, near where you get one of the syndicate uniforms, there is a chest on a colum of rock and as you approach it, the column moves far away so that you can't jump over to it - does anyone know how to get this chest please? And what's in it?

2. How do I get a 100% songstress dressphere? I have all the slots except 2 and it's not letting me learn any new ones

3. How many endings are there?

4. Who has the best trainer and mascot dresspheres in your opinions? I don't know if I can be bothered getting all 3 girls at 100% for each of them!

I'm almost at the end of Chapter 3 if that helps to answer any questions. I have still to do the first two hotspot missons in this chapter - I've found all the cactuars that I can for now in the other hotspot area.

Thanks so much in advance

IL

1. Sorry but I've never seen what you are talking about.

2. I don't use songstress, but it's possible you need to get to a certain part in the game to learn certain abilities.

3. 4 endings. Bad ending(let Vegnagun's timer get to zero), normal ending(beat the game normally) good ending(when you see the fayth at Shuyin, press square and then press square at the end or something like that) and 100% completion ending(just like the name implies).

4. Personally, I use Trainer Yuna and Mascot Paine. It really depends on your prefernces.

2. Songstress Dressphere - Max amount of abilities you can learn the hard way is 14. For remaining two you must find two key items that allow Songstress to learn two special dances.

You need to find two key items that enable her to learn them.
- collect all 10 Crimson Spheres and complete Den of Woe dungeon and you will receive Magical Dances, Vol. I key item.
- defeat Experiment in Djose temple while all its attributes are at lv5 and you will receive Magical Dances, Vol. II key item.

3. How many endings are there?

There are 5 different versions of endings altogether. Apart from the perfect ending, the endings are based on tasks you complete and not your percentage score.

Bad Ending

- Requirements: Don't defeat Vegnagun's head in time/lose in battle against Vegnagun/don't defeat Shuyin before he says seven sentences.

- What happens: Spoiler: Vegnagun's big cannon fires and Spira is destroyed. You'll then get a Game Over music.

Normal Ending

- Requirements: This is the ending you'll always see just for completing the game, however if you didn't complete other necessary requirements, you'll only see this ending. The other endings are just extra scenes on top of this one.

- What happens: Spoiler: Gippal, Baralai and Nooj make a speech in Luca. Yuna, Rikku and Paine ride on top of the airship, Yuna accepts she won't see Tidus again.

Normal Ending with extra scene

- Requirements: After you see the "Chapter 5 Complete" message, and Yuna is in the field of flowers (Farplane Abyss) press "X".

- What happens: Spoiler: In the Farplane Abyss you see Tidus appear and hug Yuna. She tells him she loves him, and he disappears again. (This is just a cut-scene, not an FMV). Then you see the Normal ending as above.

Good ending

- Requirements:
1) Speak to Maechen in Guadosalam in Chapter 3
2) Keep whistling (by pressing X) in the Farplane at the end of Chapter 3, until Tidus' ghost escorts you out of there.
3) Whistle (press X) in the flower field in the Farplane Abyss after completing Chapter 5.

When the Fayth gives you the option choose "Yes".

- What happens: Spoiler: You see the Normal ending, then a scene with Tidus and Yuna in Besaid.

Note: If you fulfil the criteria for the good ending but when the Fayth appears, you choose the option "It's better this way", you'll only see the Normal ending.

*** Perfect ending ***

- Requirements - Fulfil the requirements for the Good ending and get 100% completion.

- What happens: Spoiler: You see the Normal ending, Good ending, and then an extra scene with Tidus and Yuna together at the Zanarkand Ruins where Tidus explains why he's back.

Thanks guys :)

If anyone could help me out on the first question that would be brilliant - its been bugging me for ages! When I go home I'll look at it again so I can describe it a bit better - I dont think my description was particularly good!

Also, when you are getting the Crimson Spheres - is it easy to miss them, or are you more or less guaranteed to get them as long as you visit each place once in each chapter?

Thanks again

Oh question 1 is easy.

I think your talking about the one where it moves. Yep that one.

You just walk up as close to the wall as you can and thats Walking and then just jump on.
