I was thinking about buying the game for either PS2 or PC. I can't decide which one. could I have some ifo from the users out there who can give me the pros and cons of both PC and PS2.

I'm not a fan of the game in general. I love to rant about why... but to answer your question, I played it for the PC. I liked it a lot because, since your main means of communication is typing, your keyboard is right there anyhow. I think it basically boils down to whether your PC can handle it. If you're struggling to get it in the requirements for the game, go PS2. If you've got what the game requires in spades, go PC. I think I'd like the feel of the controller more than the keyboard... but since you type to communicate... I'm leaning towards PC.

Aztecs got some v good points there, if you're leaning towards ps2 a keyboard is a must, it is pretty handy to play on ps2 and look stuff up on pc. Personally i'm on pc and like being on pc very much simply cos i've got a nice 2mb broadband connection which is plenty fast enough and i don't have to worry about connecting up my ps2

If I was going to make the same decision as you, I would most likely go for teh PC version, like Aztec said, if you have a good machine to run it on. Although I am more of a fan of console games, sometimes the PC is the way to go and that's what I'd say your best bet is.

Yes, I believe there will still be a monthly charge of what $14.99 or something it is? Not sure if the price on it has dorpped at all. This is why I have been refusing to buy FFXI. I hate paying monthly fees to play games...

The only time you don't have to pay that subscription fee is if you wait til it comes out for the XBox360 and have XBoxLive. Then you just play for the standard XBoxLive fee.
