Title: Is blitzball in FFX-2 better or FFX one better?
FFfreak - January 30, 2006 03:02 AM (GMT)
I think FFX blitzball is way better, Its more eaiser and more fun, In FFX-2 Its hard and it confuses me alot.
SSJ_Aeris - January 30, 2006 03:03 AM (GMT)
Um....I liked it better in X-2....mainly because I dont have to play it.....I didnt like blitzball very much o0 in either game actually...
BustaMo - January 30, 2006 05:05 AM (GMT)
Blitzball in Final Fantasy X was by far the way better of the two. I heard you couldn't even actually 'play' blitzball in FFX-2 so I never even gave it a shot. The rewards in FFX though were far more awesome, helpful, and useful than what FFX-2 offered.
Drift - January 30, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
There was blitzball in FFX-2?
O_o
Ok, I'm kidding, but honestly, I never bothered with blitzball, AT ALL, in FFX-2. Not once.
So I guess I would have to say FFX blitzball was better, although I have never really liked blitzball.
Another motivation for FFx blitzball would be the rewards of receiving Wakka's overdrives.

I tried blitzball in X-2 a couple of times, but it was rubbish. So yes imho blitzball in X was by far the better

Blitzball in FFX-2 was so g@y...you couldnt do anything except "cheer" your team on. The only good thing about it is you can control the game speed, sorta like Tivo.
This way you can give Blitzball (and baseball for that matter) the time it deserves...about 11 seconds.
Stephanie - January 31, 2006 07:45 AM (GMT)
Well there are pro's can con's to both I think.
FFX
Pro's
- You can control it yourself
- You get wakka's awesome overdrive from it.
Con's
- It takes ages to actually get anywhere
- It gets really boring after a while.
FFX-2
Pro's
- If you dislike the game then playing it takes no longer then AzA said...11 seconds.
- If your not to good at the game or don't get the rules it doesn't really matter because you don't acutally control anything
Con's
- If your are the gaming type and are into sport this game will bore you very easily
- theres completely no purpose to blitzball in this game
I'd have to go with FFX-2 because I don't really like the game but you know thats just me.

I had no idea you could play it in X-2. But I was never good at it so i wouldn't know. <.< I lost.

No worries then Yazoo. In X-2 you wouldnt be playing it. It's more from a coach/spectater's point of view this time around. No actual playing for the person playing the game.
FFfreak - February 4, 2006 12:48 AM (GMT)
I say its more fun when you play, when you watch its very boring, and when you start off with your players, they really suck XP. And i love playing it, rather watching, i like starategy more.
BustaMo - February 4, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
That is the exact reason why I did not even give it a chance in FFX-2. I do not think it even adds to the %-age for completing the game 100% so there is really no point unless your a big fan of Blitzball.
FFX all the way.
Chibi_Yazoo - February 6, 2006 12:09 AM (GMT)
It didn't add to the %.
I didn't really play it, and I'm glad I didn't watch it.
kingtard - February 14, 2006 04:56 PM (GMT)
FFX Blitzball is way better, i play ffx just for that some times. it's the best mini game ever....I play it for hours.
When I saw ffx-2 blitzball I almost threw up.
renz0kuken - February 15, 2006 11:30 PM (GMT)
Its confusing..it doesnt look like a blitzball game to me..we can do anything with it..
i like the FFX blitzball which we can play...
Matthias - February 16, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
The reason I like X's Blitzball better was that you got to control it, like everyone else has been saying. It wouldn't be a problem if the people on X-2 blitzball didn't do such weird things which makes it 500 times easier to lose. You being able to control it actually does let you outsmart the other teams.
Relient A - February 16, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
Whats fun is giving the ball to someone with a frickin high speed, and going around the sphere in circles. Bad teams, like the Ronsos, will jsut follow you. Its so funny.
FFfreak - February 16, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)
Well thats not the point of the game though, you don't go in circles, well you do beacuse your trying to go away from the opponent. Anyways, i really don't pass that much, all i do when i got letty, passes to jassu, then swimm around, then pass to tidus go to the goal keeper, then just do jecht shot simple as that. Although, sometimes my plan doesn't work.
BustaMo - February 16, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
I got Brother so leveled up in FFX that he could just do circles around the blitzball field and have everyone chasing him, then I would take on all 5 of them, still mange to have Brother excape with the ball, and then pass it to whoever was right near the goal. Brother is a beast...
FFfreak - February 16, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
Yeah brother is on my team he is right forward, sometimes instead of passing it to tidus, i pass it to Brother sometimes, but tidus has a better endurance for me and his level is higher than brother for me. ( i got brother late thats why)
kingtard - February 17, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
Brother is a good player, But Wedge the gaurd ends up being the best goal keeper... Hard to believe huh
FFfreak - February 17, 2006 02:35 PM (GMT)
Lol i really don't use wedge at all. The guado glories ( for me) has taken wedge and wedge is actually a shooter for them, although he sucks when he tries to score on me lol. :wakka:

What I don't get is when people say, and I've heard about 5 different players named so far, as to who is the best goalie when leveled up all the way...they are all good if they play the goalie position. Yea some have higher stats, but if you get a goalie up to level 99, they will stop almost anything unless they get knocked out with a status attack or Jecht Shot or something.
I have a Guado and I think he's the best goalie I've seen so far, but then again, I've only used him and Keepa, and I got rid of Keepa as soon as I could add new players. Every player has their pro's and con's (except Brother and Tidus, those two jsut house competition baby!), so what I think is the deciding factor is how far ahead you are of your opponents when it comes to an individual's blitzball level.
FFfreak - February 17, 2006 05:10 PM (GMT)
I have Keepa and he is the best for me lol, Actually i have a confession, i always use Botta, Jassu, Tidus, Keepa, Letty, Wakka. Thats my team, Datto is a low level and its hard to train him when everyone is a high level for me, Besides everyone in my team is like level 65 or something, and Datto is level 4 so its hard :S
CloudStrifer21 - February 17, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
Blitzball in Final Fantasy X-2 was harder than the one in Final Fantasy X because you couldn't control the people like you could control them in Final Fantasy X.
FFfreak - February 17, 2006 06:29 PM (GMT)
Yeah, You lose alot with FFX-2 -.- im not saying its bad im saying... IT SUCKS...
Chibi_Yazoo - February 18, 2006 04:08 PM (GMT)
^ XD couldn't agree with you more! >.> too bad you couldn't play
