BUT WOW !!! once i played i couldnt put it down !! And now Final Fantasy KICKS ASS !!!

Yeah FFVII was the first one, I played.

Then I got VIII, which I loved.

I then got IX which I broke, so I only ever played an hour into that really.

Then I got X I quite liked it.

I got VI just after X, but I just couldn't get into it, and finally I lost it.(trying to get it though)

Then X-2, which I though was a decent game, but mediocore for a FF.

That's my FFs'. Need to get the oldern ones though. =(

yeah.. im gunna look into buying all the old games and consoles to play em on.. dont like using roms, rather buy an old nintendo from ebay for the authentic feel..

just purchased FF XI too, so am just trying to get into the online experience too !

I never understood what the all the fuss about this game was... :P

It was a brilliant game, and has the whole 'revolutionary' aspect to it, yet it wasn't at all challenging and it was extremely quick to finish, with not as many sidequests as most other FF's.

I also want to get the online FFXI, it looks amazing... I wish it was a once off payment though... the monthly payment really doesn't appeal to me.

I am just gonna get Origins (has FFI and FF II in it I think) and Anthology's (Which contains FFIV and FFV I think) and I'l buy FFVI on its own (PSX version)

I dunno what to do 'bout FFIII FF tactics wasn't released over here. =(

As for FFXI, my comp has been majorly fkd up recently and it can barley run anything.

Getting AC for Chrismas though. =D

Yeah this was the first ff game that i played as well and it completly got me hooked on every ff game under the sun..

i didnt like this soo much when i started it first i thought the GFX were subpar... but when i got into the story i got over that and saw what the fuss what about... the story is amazing and the sidequests tho not many of them were hard and long.

My first FF was the Original for NES. Sadly, never having an SNES, I went straight to VII after that, some years later.

This was my first one I played and my favorite one. To me it's just the perfect game. Deep, long, tactical, good graphics (I still like them) and with an amazing plot. I have since played other FF's, mainly IX, but I just keep comparing them to VII and prefer the 7th in the series, and as a result don't enjoy the others as much.

My first was 8 but ahem since this is the ff7 thingo, ff7 was the second one I played so its almost as good as 8 hehe ;)
Yeah I must say I played it a lot after I saw someone else playing it and then I finished it like three times before I played a different FF

Same here, Jayson. It was my first FF game I ever played and it really take me a long time to play it because I never had any experience with RPG games at that time. It also made me really hooked into it as well and my favorite FF game.

yeah im glad i actually played it now, it was always one of those games were i picked it up and put it down again, then i bought it.. and that as they say is how it all began ! LOL

FF7 has been my first rpg.
I never forget the first time than I played it.
I was only 9 and before i didn't play with a rpg.

I just figured I'd help out concerning Lenin's post, since I have a bit of knowledge on this.

Origins does contain FFI/II, and so does Dawn of Souls for GBA. Anthologies I think contains FFV/VI, actually. FFVI can also be purchased alone for PSX. FF Chronicles is the package that has FFIV in it, and also, for some reason, has Chrono Trigger. FFIII has actually never been released outside of Japan, but with good reason... it was a wretched, horrible piece of crap. Don't believe me? Go download a translated ROM. It was terrible, especially compared to the two games surrounding it, FFII and FFIV.

I'm fairly sure all of that is correct. And while on the topic, my first FF was actually a ROM of FFI, but I never played it much... then I played and finished FFVIII and decided to madly pursue all of the games, first I downloaded all of the ROMS, then got FFVII, FFIX, and FFX. I never thought IX was all that good either...

FFVII was my first FF. My brother got it for christmas the same year it was released. I was too young to understand english, yet I started playing it. It was so amazing, and at one point I made my dad sit with me and translate all the text that popped up on the screen (which is quite alot). It's my favourite game of all time - nothing beats FFVII ^_^

FF7 was my first ever rpg. At first i didn't know what to do and stopped playing. I watched my sister playing it and got interested again. Since then I have become addicted to Final Fantasy. I downloaded copies of the roms from 1-6 and now own FFVII, VIII, IX, X, X-2 and XI. I am also enthusiasticly awaiting the release of FFXII.

This was the first RPG I ever played. I had no idea what I was doing but my girlfriend and I stayed up all night playing several times. I have since played most of the FF series but this will always be my favorite. I may be alone on this but I really liked the Materia System, mainly because anybody could use any set of skills.
