While playing FFX, I never really used any of the Aeons... Although I did use Anima when I attained him, and Yojimbo... But not very often, only sometimes.

How much did you guys rely on Aeons for, and which Aeons? Or were they useless?

I found the latter to be more appropriate, except the usage of Yojimbo, in some parts of the game.

The final battle caught me off guard when they used Aeons to fight against each-other, but it was still quite easy.

hmmm at the beginning i didnt use them unless i needed a shield... and then i used the ones built like tanks ie ifrit and anima

later on against the tow dark aeons i fought... i think it would be highly impossible without using them as shields.

Heh, I remmeber when my friend killed Dark Valefor with Yojimbo...I wa slike "WTF!?"

Well, I never use them UNLESS I am going out for the Dark aeons and crap :p Like SG said, you need them for a shield really.

I used them very frequently, in boss battles mainly. I must say I love to use Aeons!!Especially the ones like Shiva, Ifrit and Ixion which can cast thunder or fire on themselves to cure......hehe^^, or Valefor, who sometimes can't be touch I think....well...

Well I used them a fair bit at the start I guess but then as you get stronger theres no point and my attacks often do better then my aeons anyway, except anima because hes just cool.

later anima will prolly be the only one you use other than for a shield

i thought later that aeons use just dies totaly rather than serving as a shield

i never use yojimbo cause im normally strapped for cash sadly :(

Yeah... for some Dark aeons I used aeons as shields... but otherwise if you have a good stratagy and strong characters, the Dark Aeons are manageable... Except Dark Yojimbo... -_-

I take down Dark Yojimbo using my Aeons...I think I used Bahamut for that....

Then, for Seymour Natus and Mortibody, I perform Overdrives which saved my life^^

I used them when I had to. Used Yojimbo the least even though his entrance style and sound effects were so dang sweet. I think I used Bahamut and Ifrit the most, even more than Anima and the Sisters, because in FFX, they look freak'n awesome.

I would only use my Aeons when a boss was too hard for me. Their overdrives was the most useful in battles againts bosses. I didn't always use them. Bahamut was my most useful aeon because his overdrives was so powerful and he was my favorite Aeon in the game.

Yeah, as Sora said, I used I charged up all my aeons overdrives before a boss fight if it was too hard than Lots of damage for da boss. =)

I also used them for shields, but cant realy remeber using that much as I got into later parts of the game, only for bosses really...

They were my sacrifices while I defeated Nemesis. Came in handy.

Well in my first game they weren't of much use until the end. Yojimbo took out all of the Dark Aeons and Penance for me except Dark Yojimbo, I had to take him out myself, and Anima, well she completely pwned up Jumbo Flans with Pain to get Magic Spheres for maxing Magic :D

Dark Aeons 'n' Penance...America mourns their absense in FFX. Well I do at least.

I really only used them when i had to, pretty much near the start of the game but when i got Anima, Yojimbo and The Magus Sisters i used them all the time coz they could do a hell of a lot of damage

Well I used the aeons in a boss battle but only when I was in a boss battle...I didnt see it neccessary any other time..

i thought the aeons were sooo amazing, and i used them in every boss battle. i also used them against fiends sometimes when i just don't want to have the trouble of seriously hurting my characters. like if it was a chimera and it was kinda early in the game then yeah i'd definitely use aeons. i would use them all the time, but i always focus on my character stats ^_^

I used them whenever I needed too. I always found it useful to charge up their overdrive gauges before major boss battles (like Seymore, etc...) (including Yuna's) that way I could at least get one decent hit out of them before they were banished or what not (because they usually are against the bigger boss').

I also kicked Belgamines punny butt with them to get the Magus sisters, simply because it had to be done.

Aeons are were also useful in times of lazy-ness! Hurray!

I only used Aeons when I had too..and that was usually at a hard boss.

I voted "Fairly often", tending to just use them when I thought it was tactically the best option.

I used the aeons quite alot, found them useful. Sometimes they wold screw the whole battle up, though.

I only used aeons once and that was for killing seymour. So I just used auron rikku and lulu! Mwahahahaha

i think my favorite out of all of the aeons is either shiva or anima because they r soo kick-butt! i use them all the time ^_^

I only use Aeons when i have to... even then i prefer to do it without them... i only use three really... thats Bahumat, Anima, Yojimbo. Otherwise im not to kean on aeons...

I used them pretty often, but not frequently everyone boss battle I would use my aeons. But I would never use aeons against fiends.

I use Aeons sometimes, i beat dark aeons using holy on them.

I really didn't use my aeon at all unles i was fighting a boss and i ran out of mp and ethers ( only happened once during the sin battle on air ship cause i forgot to get some)

Well when I got lazy then I would summon them..but if I was up for the battle..then I wouln't summon them..I also called them when the fiends were a bit hard..

i dont really use much aeons,and i only use anima whenever it comes to aeons

You rarelyuse aeons when you receive your legendary weapons with their sigils and crests. Aeons truly become pointless when you yourself hit for 99999. :D :vincent:

Then it comes down to using them as sacrificial beasties when you fight powerhouses, like Nemesis and Thu'ban in the Monster Arena.

Damn Thu'ban tossed my ass around a lot when I faced him the first couple times...&$@^%

when i was doing 99,999 i was still using the aeons as sacrifices as bustamo said, and also for doing multi hits such as anima using oblivion and the magus sisters using there overdrice.... aeons are needed if you want to beat some of the dark aeons...
