Title: Some Questions

Final Cloud - November 4, 2005 05:17 AM (GMT)
I recently traded in 3 ps2 games in exchange for FFXI and its 2 expansion backs, now i am faced with a few problems first I neeed to register online with playonline I then have to pay for it with credit card (which i dont have) and nor do I know the price per month, Then I wonder if I should get or need broad band just for this game ? It says on the box 56k required but I suppose broad band would be better? Any help would be appreciated thx :cloud:

Well the obvious thing to do would have been to ask about this before you purchased the game, because you didn't know what you were getting into. You pay monthly for FFXI which, yes, is pretty cheap but you gotta deal with it. If you don't have a credit card then I think you're out of luck. You'll have to use your parents if they have one, if they don't I don't think you have any way to pay for it.

As for getting a faster connection, it is likely to help gameplay run smoother, but like it says on the box, it isn't necessary. Make sure you're commited to the game before buying a better conection just so you can play is easier.

Sadly dial up would kill this game for you. Because it often gets very intense people with reasonably highspeed internet connections do experience some lag. Dial up is theoretically possible but in reality it just wouldn't work. A debit card is an alternative to a credit card but without broadband you'd be best off trading it in for a ps2 game you can run with ease instead

But it is a Final Fantasy game! I must play it so I can see how good it is and ranks amongst the series, I have 5 through to 11 now pretty proud of that, but thanx for the replies looks like broad band it is :cloud:

Its worth a try but trust me it gets really dull after a while...I mean really dull =/ and costly too as for the 56k question basically if you have a certain program you can run it with any kind of connection but it'll be really laggy so either be prepared to lag or get a high speed connection, as for paying you need either a credit card or bank card those are the only methods of payment I can remember of, lastly I just tell ya this yeah its FF but all thats really worth playing the game is the graphics and meeting people and both get boring fast.
