Who actually liked FFX-2 better than FFX?

If your a girl I can see why you can probably like X-2 but I thought it was just horrible the storyline just sucks.

im not a girl but i liked X-2 for many reasons 1)you arent stuck with one job 2)the new game plus 3)the old level up system 4)missions, dress spheres, and garment girds. the only thing i didnt like about it was how you cant have weapons that u can switch.

as far as I currently am in FFX-2 (not very far), I think that FFX is better, but that might change as I continue playing X-2 :vivi:

I really liked X better. X-2's story is a little short.

It basically just depends on what qualities of FF you enjoy. In my opinion FFX and FFX2 are worlds apart when it comes to features. They both have their pros and cons according to what you expect and like from a FF game. But to me...FFX is the best.

i prefered ffx-2 it was a proper wound up ending, they culdnt have left it with the tension at the end of ffx with yuna, also the amount of extras is very cool, just 2 tasks i dont like ill have to face up to for the ultimate ending, there goes the bride and publicity for argent/open air

Final Fantasy X is still my favorite FF game, but X-2 is my second fave :)

They both had their ups and downs, but i haven't fully completed ffx-2 yet so i cant say.

I'm gonna have to say x-2 is better because 1) it had better music (in my opinion) 2) your not stuck with one job and 3) the battles are at more of a fast pace.


......but i broke my arm not too long ago, so i'm stuck with ffx right now....*sigh*...it's the only one i can play one-handed

i just think its so cool going back to the places uve been before, and also the only 3 characters was really easy on leveling up :D

FFX, because I've only done so much of X2, and I think that X2 is jsut an ending to X.

FFX-2 Is definitly the best and its not the end to the damn FFX...
In my opinion,

1)X-2 is good because of battle system

2)The garment grids and dressphere

3)Music Rocks

4)Boss are harder

5)No gay and sissy Tidus

6)More special items and special dressphere

7)Runnings is easier

8)You can jump from place to place

9)Only 3 characters to choose and easy to level

10)Don't have diffrent weapons

11)The class(which is the dressphere you using) has its own abilities

12)The characters were sexy

13)They usually talk not like FFX just a dialogue box

14)New Airship Celsius

15)I played the game a 101 timse EXACTLY!~

a good ending though? i dont think it could have been left after the ending of X it left a lot to be desired out of the ending, the only downside is now people will expect sequals out of every new ff

they both had good soundtracks, however the unmatched song on both of them is 'to zanarkand', so i gotta give ffx the credit..

Ya, ffx had "to zanarkand" and "otherworld". Certainly two tracks to rival any game.

I also forgot, Suteki Da Ne was in Final Fantasy X which is another one of my fovourites, great song.

I like Suteki Da Ne, just not the person who sang it. Her voice was squeaky. Kinda bugged me.

Yea that's Japanese singers for you, that's why I got the instrumental version, it's better.

I agree, I just got done with chapter 1 and it sucks when put to the other ffx.

Ya, its pretty cool, but if you actually think about it, wouldnt you have hated the song if you had just heard it, but not from the final fantasy?

I wouldn't of like it, thats for sure; but that's the same with any other song from Final Fantasy. It really means nothing to you unless you can understand it, and know the story behind it.

i went out and got a copy of it and i have to say the music is really good but the vocals are terrible i'm glad theyre so muted on x

Ya, like I said, I cant stand the girls squeaky voice. Shoulda dubbed it with an american singer for the english version.

i appreciate your enthusiasm, but using a whole bunch of those smileys is just annoying.

I think FFX was better. Why?

1: Better music

2: Better battle system (no waiting req'd)

3: Sure the dressphere system was interesting, but I rathered swap characters. Their jobs gave them personality.

4: Sphere grid system best I've seen. Instead of waiting for HP to steadily go up, just train a bit and snag 200 from the HP nodes.

5: Changeable self upgradable weapons

6: Summons

7: Longer lifespan. I finished X-2 in under a week. X took me at least a month and a half.

8: Better FMV sequences. Sure Rikku looks prettier in X-2, Paine is just cool anywhere and Yuna can sing and dance, but thats where the coolness of the FMVs end. When Shuyin was speaking to Yuna the way his mouth was moving made it look like what he was saying, wasnt what he was saying at all.

9: The clothing was decent. In X-2 Rikku was wearing sh*t all, Yuna no longer looked like a respectable summoner, more like some prissy looking for attention.

10: All the time, key characters would have a voice. Not a voice some of the time and a dialogue box for the "unimportant bits"


I didnt hate X-2 completely, because it was humorous, it did give a conclusion to all our unanswered questions from X, it had a happy ending, and the mission system let you shape the game, instead of follow the motion like normal. But maybe X-2 might have been better if the company was just Squaresoft, and not Enix connected.
Like, when was the last time Enix released a good game? Its being a leech to Squaresoft. Taking half the credit in Squaresofts work, getting half the shares, and kinda obviously, causing Squares quality in work to plummit to an all time low. I've read on other forums that people arent happy with Squares work, at least not as happy as they used to be. And it started around FFX-2.
I agree with them. X-2 would have been a MUCH better game if Squaresoft was still Squaresoft. No ties with Enix.

Yeah the life span of X-2 was actually really small compared to X even with a strategy guide it took me a week and a half to beat the game (actually more like two weeks)

sorry if I said this earlier but I severly disliked the dress system and the most of the costumes were U-G-L-Y

I loved x-2,even better than x...and that took alot

I liked the story and music better in FFX

But if you didn't like the battle system your crazy, also bringing in a part of FFT (Dress spheres) was good.
The gameplay is extremly supirior to that of FFX.
With the game itself you had to go around and complete all of the sidequests and get all of the dress spheres.

I bet you you didn't get anywere near 100%
I finished the game in 3 days when i first got it, but i played for hours after that solving every single part of this great game.
Anyway it's a tie in my eyes;
FFX for its Story, and
FFX-2 for its Battle System.

You gotta love FFX-2 because of Yunas shorts...

Well it depends but i think squaresoft wanted to make something different, a final fantasy game that would make the girls enjoy it more. So FFX is better for me but if u like Stylish clothes and believe in girl independence the FFX-2 is for you.

I personaly play Final Fantasy games mainly for their storyline. Turn based battle systems are never fun by themselves. You have to have a good story to compliment it, otherwise I get bored :(. FFX was much better than X-2.
