Katriona - October 16, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
Could my name please be changed to Livana.

Thanks

~Liz~

Kryptonite_Dude - October 16, 2005 04:49 PM (GMT)
Sorry but as it says in the rules we don't change names except in very rare occasions for very good reasons.

Katriona - October 16, 2005 04:59 PM (GMT)
Last time I read the rules it said you did but only once in every 6th months per person.

Damn, I really wanted a newer start too.

Yojimbo - October 16, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
Yeah sorry I wanted mine changes to Lucifer but ross said that he and K_D agreed on the no name change thing..ill just ask later in the future <3

Kryptonite_Dude - October 16, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
and we'll say no later in the future ^_^

Katriona - October 17, 2005 04:38 PM (GMT)
Why so mean, it takes like 30 seconds, its not like Ive asked 50 times is it? 1st time and not allowed :'( Meanie.

stephen griffiths - October 17, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
just imagine it though, if he changes your name then everyone will ask for a name change. plus it gets confusing if people change names all the time.

Kryptonite_Dude - October 17, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
it's nothing to do with the time it takes us to change stuff. It's to do with the fact your name isn't just a title to suit your fad at the time it's with you from the start to the end of time. 2-3 people change their name over the space of a month and that throws an absolute ton of confusion in the air for every1 else on who's who

Ross - October 18, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
I want to ban you.

Amy_Croft - October 18, 2005 12:53 PM (GMT)
You could tell me to mind my own buisness being new and all but i really dont see the point in this being open any longer? You seem to have the problem sorted case closed

Ok, mind your own business.

The topic being left open doesn't harm any1 or cause loss of life. There's the extremely rare chance someone might post a comment that is a great idea that no-one else thought of. The only drawback from leaving it open is it might get spammed up with people suggesting to close the topic

Shadowrose - October 18, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)
Yeh of even worse it could be spammed by people like Ross saying

She only wants to change her name to the name that she uses in most places online now. As for a good idea about the name changing thing you could always change her name then change the little members title message thing that says "moogle" im pretty sure there one or 2 people around here like that already. Ill edit this when i find out who it is.

EDIT: Azarath Angel has "Formerly known as Seran" in his members title couldnt you do that if someone wants a name changed?

As for the sarcastic comment about Ross spamming it do yourself a favour and don't make anymore smart arsed comments like that.

Ross has this tiny little "I created this entire forum" so If someone whines about not being allowed to have their name changed and he wants to post his thoughts on it he can........that seams fair enough.

As for serans name changed that happened about 3-4 months ago when we had a flood of name changes HENCE why we made the no name changing rule.

The member titles isn't a bad idea but you only see that in posts made by that member under all forum lists etc you don't see the title so you really wouldn't know who it is

Shadowrose - October 18, 2005 09:46 PM (GMT)
It wasnt a sarcastic comment about Ross. Ross tends to post stuff like that fairly often. Could quite easily be counted by spam if it was another member posting something that was such a waste of space as that. Ohhh and those where just thoughts he had...just because some is an admin or mod doesnt mean they should just have there own little set of rules does it?ive always thought that if your a admin or a mod you should try and set a good example...especially if your one thats so against spam.

As for the bit about the rule about name changes being changed after Serans name was changed thats fair enough. Most people i guess see members names in threads so they can see that member title and you can see it in the persons profile so its pretty easy to see i think. But was just a idea.

pfft. look i hate when people do this, il prolly get shouted at by the admins and mods for saying so but if you dont like the way a forum works then the door is allways open, theres no contract binding you down here!

yeah ross may do that but its up to him aint it, if anyone dont like the way hes running stuff then they can just leave.

Yes you will, SG shut up.

And incidentally yes there are different rules for admins simply because Ross and I work our arses off making this forum the place where members want to come to. If he wasn't here neither would this forum be here so it's basically a free pass of getting away with preverbial murder. Granted yours wasn't a sarcastic comment i meant to say facetious but used the wrong word.

To simplify this..... don't make tongue in cheek remarks about admins or mods and yes Ross can do what he pleases

Shadowrose - October 18, 2005 11:31 PM (GMT)
1) Admins and mod should follow the same rules as the rest of the members

2)There are plenty of forums that run perfectly fine without little to no involvement by admins and mod or rules for the matter. Most people have enough common sense to know how to behave

3) People leave forums because the admins and mods are assholes. Apart from the people here that think Ross is some sort of god i bet there are plenty who have left because they dont like the mod team. Thats why i left the first time

4) ohhh it wasnt tongue in cheek K_D...and i dont really give a fuck...here just to give you and even better reason to ban me...FUCK ROSS and FUCK YOU K_D you 2 are assholes to everone on these forums

*random crap with poor grammar*

1. Ross said what Ross was thinking.
2. Ross has the right to do so, as do you.
3. Ross, however, has the ability to shut people up on this forum if he dosen't like what they are saying.
4. Ross did not act on what he is thinking and should not be provoked to do so.
5. Ross created this forum and has the right to do pretty much whatever he pleases with it as long as it is inside the IF TOS and the laws that apply to Ross as a human being.
6. Please note that Ross has deleted over 5000 posts off his post count and will likely delete more, Ross makes posts like that because he likes to say what he feels, if Ross regrets saying it at a later point, he will delete the posts off his count.
7. Ross is a reasonable person and is willing to accept and apology for the mean things you have said to him and KD who have worked so hard for this forum if you plan on ever using an Invisionfree forum again. This one not included as you will never type another letter on Ross's forum.
