this game was a waste of my money!!!

Anyways... ive gotta disagree, its definatly not the worst sequel to date.. admittedly I cant think of any others right now.. but im sure its not!! Its really not that bad of a game if you just ignore the story and the characters!!!! Its actually pretty fun to play.. just not up to scratch for a FF game.. I mean along with gameplay the story is a really big part of FF games (being RPG's and all!!!) and the story on this just majorly lets it down, plus the whole shallow girly character thing is upsetting!!

I keep on saying this to people, there is a storyline. Yuna is looking for Tidus, she gets stuck in the middle of two lovers Lenne and Shuyin and Shuyin is going to destroy the world for his love and then at the end Yuna finds Tidus (If you completed the side quest)

I didn't really enjoy the game that much though I played it for the FF experiance though I have to agree with Leona it isn't the worst sequal to date and not Square's worst to date. Square-Enix's yes but not Square's allone. The worst one Square did was (From what I have heard) Mystic Quest or somthing like that.

There are many other topics about this and they have all been essentially proven wrong. If you dont like the game...fine but you dont need to tell us as we've been told it amillion times before.

FFX-2 is a good game, but its nowhere near as good as 7 and 10

If you dont like it, fine but you dont have to cry about it to us

i think that for a final fantasy it was subpar

it was like they had just used the same map pack and changed the fighting and voice actors a bit.

i just think that it was a bit of a waste of money when all there is to do is hunt spheres

i thought they could of made it a lot better with maybe a bigger story and more than three characters

I definately agree more characters were needed in this game. OK, Im a guy and I HATED the all girl cast, but trust me I would have hated an all guy cast just as much. In games like FF you NEED at least some kind of a balance between characters.


I also hated the amount that Yunas character had changed. Sure Im sure she would have changed after everything that happened in FF X, but come on they even changed the way she ran to make her more girly, the way she speaks to make her sound more....annoying and the way she dresses to make her more slutty.

the reason these games are so successful is because when playin them you can really get into the story. Sure there was a story in this, but honestly do we really care what happened to Shuyin and Lenne?

In my opinion this game was released for the company not the fans, it was released as a pop song in game form, to get the younger people into it, half naked girls to get guys to buy it and an all female cast to get girls to buy it, with a Final Fantasy title to get fans to buy it. Surely before even taking this game out of the box every single person playing it knew there was a happy ending coming?!

Wheres the fun in playing the game and hearing the story? I was 99% sure Tidus would be back at the end as soon as I heard there was a sequel, but I bought it because it was a FF game and Ive loved them all so far, and I figured that the story would still suck me in. Sadly the reason I like FF is because I get involved in the characters because I control them, and really get into it. When the main story is about characters that I have never heard of, never met and to be honest couldnt give a damn about its dissapointing, especially when the main characters in the game have such a weak storyline with them its untrue (Yuna looking for Tidus.......hunting for spheres......being able to change my clothes while fighting....cant thing of anything else right now).

I know everyone is entiteled to their opinions and I respect that, but come on if this game was made by anyone else and released by a company totally unrelated to FF half the people defending it would probably never have bought it in the first place.

I don't think it's thw worst Square has done, but I agree with the most things you said, though I enjoy the game, It could be better. In fact, I was more dissapointed in FFX , but well....I had to buy FFX-2

Rikku was so funny ( ow poopie :p ) and Gippal is hot , hihi (not so hot as cloud but hey ... ) .
The storyline could be better , and yeah more characters could be fun , But you have to agree the endings were great .
No , It was worth all my money !

Since its already been rezzed, I would like to add I decided on something. And I mean other than skipping almost every post before the last 3. FFX-2 is a great game.... for a non-FF title.
