FFX for sure. The gameplay and storyline was much better than in FFX-2. I felt the storyline of finding Tidus derailed in FFX-2, which sucked. i Also prefered the characters in FFX, I felt they had more emotion.

i really loved ffX-2 but yes X was a better game and it was a much more kinda in depth story and yeh it was longer and i guess more for each gender so yes X was better

Yes Im with Stephanie!! Although I love the Dresspheres and their totally.. but FFX is way longer and more orignal!! ^_^

i hate them both but if i had to say id say ffX-2 cause ff10 just plainly sucked in all aspects

FFX is waaaaaay better than FFX-2 in my opinion. Mainly due to replay value, I would mutch rather have to put up with Tidus and his annoying ways on a re-play than I would with the severe girly-ness that has been forced upon FFX-2. I esspecially hate the Heart of the Farplane music based rubbishness that they forced in there. Why? Why is it musical apart from anyother reason than to be girly!?! *head explodes*

BETTER CHARACTERS

I liked them both, but FFX was way better!
The storyline, battle system, FMV effort was better. I've made countless rants about how some FMVs were poorly lipped. Now I know why, they didnt take the time to change the lip movements and just dubbed over top with english voices. They actually did that for the whole game.

FFX without a doubt, is not only infinitely batter than X-2, but is also my favorite out of the entire FF series, and I have played FFV-FFX-2,FFTA and FFA.

I would post a long 4000 word essay on why, but I have already done so in various other topics debating FFX.

For me, I'd say FFX.

Well, I think so, casue it had a whole new Battle System, and such. I thought that was cool. I like being open-minded and trying new things. And I thought the Sphere Grid idea was cool, it was challenging as well, which is another reason why I liked it. Oh, and the whole storyline, and characters, and just everything about it pushed me to the completion of the game.

As for FFX-2, it was cool, I can't really judge it yet, seeing how I have yet to beat it, but it kinda had the same battle system as FF Tactics, well, not Battle System but Level Up system, and such. The characters were diffenetly cool, but everything from FFX was in FFX-2, and I didn't get the same feel from this game as FFX. I already knew everything about Spira and such, but the whole LennexShuyin, YunaxTidus thing was a big bonus. But, FFX takes me choice.

Iv had to go with FFX, i do like them both but i found that overall FFX was a better game.
There was more choice for playable characters, something i really missed in X-2. At the time the graphics just bowled me over, and the storyline was quite good.

I prefered the old style linear approch were you just follow the game (any side quests optional) in X-2 the fact that you could go anywere at anytime (and potentially miss really important bits!) which kinda put me off.

I chose FFX, the storyline was much better, finding tidus in X-2 was kinda boring and it made me want to throw my ps2 out the window every time i found a sphere and it was pointless, although i do think rikku dressed better in X-2 ;)

i liked ffx better because it was deeper and i didnt like how they were all girly and shit in x-2.

Meh, that didn't bother me. FFX was superior(although that ending was like, wha?), FFX-2, even the way it started was a bit extreme for me, reminded me of a sugar rush or something, I gotta give it to FFX today.

FFX was alright. I liked most of the charatcers.... But I hated Tidus. The storyline was okay. I didn't like the Sphere Grid thing.

FFX-2 was okay. At first I found Pain and Rikku funny together. But after a bit all of them got annoying.

I got bored with both of them though..... Anyways, I like FFX better.

Definetly FFX... FFx-2 was nothing compared to X i thought..

I didnt like the whole idea of the fact yuna was a summoner then she turned in to a sphere hunter, i think thats just stupid and Rikku's Voice.. AHHHH..

I didn't much like FFX-2. Yuna totally lost herself and Paine was just a wannabe female version of Squall. I must admit, the dresspheres were entertaining, but after awhile I just stuck with one. So, I'd say FFX, all the way. Even though Tidus has his annoying moments, I'd much rather deal with that, than the girl power crap they are shoving into FFX-2.

I think they were just trying something new when they made X-2 and realised that it just wasnt final fantasy at all.. seemed like more of a platform game rather than an rpg.. u were doing near enough the same thing over and over going after the spheres..

FFX was infinately better than X-2 mainly becuase X-2's story line was horrible in comparrison.

I liked how they at least tried to carry the chracters over and make them similar to what they were in ffx like lulu and wakka when u go in to besaid.. they idea that they are married and have a child on the way is kinda wierd tho..

I dunno...I liked FFX...and FFX-2. They were both a big letdown but each of them were fun in their own way.

FFX was very plot driven and strat based...although it was incredibly easy...

FFX-2 was a total chick-flick game driven by the women and action.

They are the same to me.

Well X is a proper FF whilst X-2 is FF meets the dial 555 flirt with anime chicks hotline you'll see in the ads in games magazines.....I think I'll go with 10.

I voted FFX. Because it deffinately has the better storyline... and the characters are cooler...
But I like the system of battle for X-2 than X... it's a personal thing...
I think one of the main reasons why X-2 wasn't as good a X... was because it was a lot more girly (understandable seeing as how the main characters are female)

I voted for FFX. It has a waaay better storyline, and I liked the characters a lot more.
In FFX-2 they've made Yuna seem like a stupid girl, who only got to places because of her looks. And I HATED Brother! >:-|

FFX, definitely... I just like it so much better. Maybe it's the little things, like the speed of opening the menu and such, but the characters were hugely better, and the fact that you had to train to make a character what they should be instead of getting good instantly by equipping some sphere...

Id probably say one great advantage.. well it has a lot of advantages but probably the best one that ffx has that ffx-2 lacks is the sphere grid..
I thought the sphere grid was one of the best ff features...

x-2 did have a good battle system

truly the only reason i played it though was becuase I had to find out wtf happened to tidus!

Well, for starters, I liked FFX way better than X-2, why?

- FFX had a better Blitzball
- FFX-2 could have had better graphics
- FFX better Story-line AND ending ( I have seen the perfect ending in X-2)
- FFX characters are more emotional and realistic in that time period/setting.
- FFX-2 characters were fake, somehow... like the creators tried to make them like *us* shall we say...
- FFX had much better replay value, I still play it today, and I have over 400 ours of gameplay on it, while X-2 has baout 70 at most.
- FFX-2 was a little disapointingm especially the comments (like at the end of a battle and/or during)

So, thats why I like FFX better than X-2, however X-2 had some stuff better than X:

- Better Battle Sequence
- Can jump
Thats about it....
