I would love to do another art challenge soon. The only problem is, whenever we do one, we don't get much of a response. The majority of the pictures are usually from us Fems. For me, personally, that doesn't make me want to do more. I already give my own self art challenges, that's what my art galleries are for. We do it in hopes of getting more people involved with the page. Maybe if we had more people committing to doing a pic for the next art challenge, we would be more excited about doing one--and do more of them.

What you could do is just have people send in their "themed" pictures, and IF you get enough of a response, then you can make it an "official" Challenge, and if you don't...then you have some nifty pictures anyway! :D :ph43r:

Well, part of the problem might be connected to how many of us can actually draw. I know I can't draw worth beans, so as much as I might wish to enter a challenge, I can't. Not to mention those with scanners that don't work or other mechanical malfunction. How many of us fall into these catogories?

Not me! I was just to lazy to finish my pic last time. It's harder than it looks, drawing Kagura strangling Kyo. I should like to enter this time though.

I think a good theme would be sakura (cherry blossoms) Very japanese, very romantic, very good for angsting bishonen.

Well, I can draw, not too bad *is pretty critical of her own work* others say it's good, most of which people who can draw real well. I have a scanner, so there is no problem for me. All I need to make sure that I actually put in time to do the picture this time. hehe, I got lazy and procrastinated so much that by the time I was ready to draw it, the contest was over! Ha! Serves me right. Well, it should only take me an hour or less to draw something, then about another hour or two to color it on the computer after I scanned it. So, I'll start when you guys think of a theme that might turn to be the next contest. *hops on deck and salutes* I'm on board cap'n! ^_^

ok...did you actually go in and look at my submission to the last Challenge? If you had, then you really shouldn't be saying that you aren't good enough to enter a submission. So just go out there and try your hardest! it's not about making a "good" picture! it's about drawing to the best of your abilities and showing off your talents to these people...who are your "friends" :ph43r:

Its fun to draw even when you know it's not a very "strong" point of yours. For instance: I cannot draw people. Simple as that, I draw cats: humanish cats, fish cats, even my dogs look like cats
:P Don't feel so bad about yourself, plenty of people can't draw, but all of us are your friends and we don't care if you can or can't. Maybe you'll have better concepts than we do. :D

Yay! people drawing! ^_^ Drawing makes me happy...most of the time. Sometimes it makes me sad because I draw sad things...but I mostly draw funny weird things, like my character Kono freaking out cause Calla left a note that she wasn't home to cook dinner and he should make soup for himself. It was great! Best part in that comic, if you ask me. Maybe one day I'll scan it and put it on my homepage or something.

Ok. So I think the last panel has to be explained. The person who Kono is based on named his computer after his girlfriend, my best friend. Her character's name is Colina, Coli for short. His computer is broken, so we always tease and ask him if Colleen (Coli) is still broken. The guy with the whitish hair's name is Yikura. Oh and they all live in a mansion in hell. lol Yikura, Calla, Yashie, Coli and other characters are all servants of Kono actually, so that's why Kono can boss Yikura around.

Man, I really gotta send in an entry… its just that, I get so busy with work, school and a lot of other projects. I look like I have no life, but really, I'm usually never bored, I always have a project that needs to be worked on. Umm, lets go ahead and try this new challenge, the bishi swimsuit contest. My new scanner and computer still won't get a long, but I can find a scanner somewhere- there is one that exists close by.

I think it sounds like a good idea... maybe I'll draw the bishounen gods and their counterparts, the Bishoujo goddesses... nah better just stick with the men.
Um, but yeah, it seems like a good idea to me! I just have to get my scanner working.
