YAY! The Anime Oasis convention coming to boise is like the 1ST EVER convention to come to Idaho! And that's darn cool because it'll be my first one ever and I wont have to pay much for driving expenses or nuthin'!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!! I can't wait for March....And it's in like two months and I don't know who to go as yet! THIS IS A PROBLEM! I want to go as someone original, yet someone I look like. And I also have to like that chara VV Am I picky or WHAT!?!?!? I look like Yuna, but everyone goes as her >.< And I could look like paine if I chopped off my hair a bit....But lotsa peeps shall go as her! .... and.... I don't have the money to get a wig for Asuka from Evangelion, and I can't go as someone form one of Hayao Miyakazi's animes because I love them too much and would be affraid of dishonoring them in some way O.o Man, i am horrid! Ah, if you have any ideas, please help me out a bit. Thanks a lot ^^

Isn't it the third year for Anime Oasis, at least? I think it's cool that Idaho has an anime convention. I wish we did here in Utah! I can't quite figure out how backwater Idaho got one first... ;)

Hmm.. now I'll have to sit down and think of who else you could be! Don't do FF characters. EVERYONE is cosplaying FF chars recently, and my annoyance levels grow every time I see another Yuna..
..... if you have the skill level to make the mask, you could definitely try to be Mononoke Hime. I think the costume other than the mask would be terribly simple to make, and I don't think you could dishonor Miyazaki by going as her. For that matter, you might also be able to pull off Nadia! Hmmm...

Nadia of Nadia Of the blue water (that is on of the series)
Black rose form .hack the game (you could just use a light hair dye if you wanted to get the same color hair as she dose)
Mamimi fom FLCL Might be a good character if your new to sewing
Elie from Rave master she has some cute outfits most require little to no sewing but a lot of detail work if you want them to look close to the ones in the manga.

And as always Cosplay is just about haveing fun and makeing a costume you can be proud of I'm sure what ever costume you end up doing it will look great!

I don't think having an anime convention in Idaho is such a good idea. That would be almost as bad if not worse than an anime convention in Utah. The freaks would be coming out of the wood work. It would be more like a freak show with all the crazies. All the moodiest people would flock to the this 'drama hive' in a most scary manner. The scariest of all anime fans are ones from Utah/Idaho.

That's only because those are the only ones you've experienced, really..
there are some freaks out there, trust me...
places with higher populations have a higher concentration of freaks.

However, I kind of agree that Idaho is a stupid place for an anime convention, but this is the 3rd year, so more power to 'em!! I just happen to hate Idaho for personal reasons.
