This is an archive for every questions asked here, I'm thinking about closing them and allowing all extra questions about those subjects here. I'm going to make sure the fem five is okay with that first, for now I'm going to archive the actual answer to the actual question here that way you don't have to dig through all of the "useless" posts.
Q:Does any one know what Fem Gri La means,
A:Here's a guess. Shan Gri La is a mythical city rumored to be in the Tibetan mountains. It is a Utopian society that is near impossible to find where no one grows old or dies, and everyone lives in eternal Nirvana ...this place is like that...only run by girls. hence the Fem part Was I close¿
Q:Hi i see that some people have member titles for themselves and i was wondering how do you do it?? if someone could please tell me then i would be very happy. thanks
A:You can't change them. They are set titles and they change depending on your post count.
There have been a few times (2 or 3) that we've been sent a request for a different title, but the post count was high. I believe the lowest post count was a 120 or something like that.
1. You have to ask nicely.
2. Post count needs to be at least over 100 posts. (we have the right to say judge your posts. i.e. if you do a lot of one liners or short posts-not quite one liners, we can say 'sorry you need more posts before we fulfill your request.')
3. Just PM one of the Fems your request. We do have the right to say no.
Hope that answers your question.
Q:ok Nie-chan........question about the rules........now please please don't hurt me but.......
4. No oneliners. Contribute with a little more than ‘I agree.’, ‘Sure’, or ‘yes’. You get the idea.
what about on games? and one really long word like AHHHHH with the H's goin on forever....well not forever, but you get the point, do those count as oneliners? just wondering.......cause I'm bored and have nothing better to do, but question the rules.....haha
A-1:I am going to throw in a guess for this one...I am pretty sure that in the games, it's ok to have a one work answer...especially on the games that require a one word answer (or a 4 word answer), but on other topics...it's not ok...not even a really long word...like AHHHHHHH... unless maybe it is accompanied by other actual words that are more than one line.
Hmm...maybe I should go and actually read these..."Rules"
A-2:Again I apologize if I sound like I am of any authority.
Well, unless my brain has stopped working I have noticed that you get no post count raise for posting in the RP section. So I believe that would mean it wouldn't hurt to do a one liner there. And things like Word association and 4 word story one liners (which means 1 sentence) would be alright. However in any other type of topic or place that raises post count it would count as a one liner which according to the rules is bad.
Q:um..hello...i was wondering how you get an avitar and a signature....could someone please tell me?? thanks!
A:The first question is, do you have a website that you could upload the picture too?
If not, I believe you can path it to your C-drive and it will show when you are online.
But in Member Settings, where you can change your personal information and your signature. There is a place you can upload the path to your avatar. i.e to the place on your web server or to your c-drive.
Just remember the picture you use needs to be on YOUR web server, don't direct link to other people sites.
Does this make sense?
~nie-chan
Q:thanks for trying to help but it really does not make sense... i don't have a web site yet but i hope to start one soon....please explain again in simpler terms....thanks!
A-1:ok,
1. Go to 'My Controls' , upper right hand corner @ the top of the page.
2. There is a menu on the left hand side, toward the bottom there will be a link 'Avatar Settings'
3. There are the instructions for your avatar, must be 64x64, no larger than 25 kb, blah, blah. Make sure your avatar fits the params.
4. If you do not have an avatar you can choose pre-installed avatars in the drop down menu. They belong to the board, so you won't have a huge selection.
5. 'Your Image Avatar' :
The first option is web path to your server, since you don't have that option, go to the second option....right below the first.
This allows you to create a path from your computer, click browse find your image select your image, click update avatar.

A-2:Cool sites that you can upload your avatars/sigs to.
http://www.bravenet.comhttp://www.angelfire.comhttp://www.tripod.comhttp://www.freewebs.comhttp://www.freeservers.comhttp://www.powow.comand if you have
http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/ you can upload them on
http://www.geocities.com and link them.
I just figured I would add this stuff.
EDIT:I screwed up the invis free anonymizer link. And forgot to mention directions for using it. All you do is add the URL you are linking after the slash.
Q:I decided to make my own forum on the invisionfree site for just my friends and me cuz they can't use the chat boards/forums/etc. unless they know who they're talking to. But I can't seem to get it to work. Can someone plaese help me out here?
A:You need to go into your Admin CP and click 'Create New Category' then follow the instructions, after that you need to go into 'Create New Forum' and follow those directions.
Note:I answered this one through PM.
Q:Ok, here's my stupid, naive question: what is flaming? I know what yoai and yuri are, but I just want to know what flaming is so I don't end up getting yelled at for saying something I didn't know what flame.
Sonjalee
A:Flaming is when somebody degrades somebody in words with cursing and utterly stupid comments. At least, that's the form of flaming the rules are talking about, I think.
Q:Hey, I'm new here and have a question!
I really want to make a Takuto hat from Full Moon wo Sagshite for MegaCon Orlando.
The fems have a Takuto hat each, don't they? Did they make them or buy them? I really need to know, because if they made them, I need to know what exactly they did, if it isn't a problem.
Since I probably won't check back here too much, (if I have the time, I will) it would be best to email me.
mkdaly30188@yahoo.com
Thanks!
A:yep we all have them. Pan~pan made them for us! Because she is the best!
I'll let her know this thread is here, and for her to check it out
Q:I posted some stuff earlier...I don't know if it was there when I posted it, but now it's gone! And I replied to some topics just now, and they's gone! Never posted! Weird..
A:the bishounen love forum..... hm...
I'll check why that forum is doing that - I'll check the settings.
A few weeks ago I was messing around in the Admin area and I found some posts that were 'quered'? that might be the wrong word. We had to approve the post or something like that. But it was the 'Bishounen Love' forum.... hmm. I'll go check right now. ... but I now need to find that place again... ah man!
It is all fixed now! It shouldn't happen again. And I posted your posts, of course I deleted two of your posts since all three were the same

Q:Just wondering, and I know it's only the 4th, but still, any idea when all the pics of the bishs dressed up will be put up? and where may I ask? just wondering! cause I'm bored......like always.........
A:I can definately tell you where, in the kitchen - on the fridge - there is a notebook and that is the link for the challenge page and etc.
But we're kinda slow around here. We still need to put up our con report - lol yeah that was at the end of September (but we have our pictures back, so hopeful the con report and the challenge will be up soon.)
Q-P1: Almost more than anything i want an Alec plushie. (Alec from Ayashi no Ceres) I love Alec, and want something to hug. Do you think there's any way I could make one? I'm not too good at that sorta thing.... Anyway, could anyone tell me what you'd have to do to make one? Or could someone tell me where to buy a happy little alec plushie? ...anyone?
A-P1:*raises hand* I make them! i dooooo! here's the prices I have been quoting to people. The price will vary depending on the plush, so let me know exactly what you want if you want an exact price. Here's an estimate though:
small plushies - 12" - $20-$30
med. plushies - 24" - $40-$50
lemme know if you're interested! I've made plushies for all the fems and such. um, what else... oh! yeah, if you want, i could also scan a pattern or something if you want to try and make it yourself. lemme know! thanks!
~Pan Pan
A-P2:okay, let's see...
http://anime.101main.com/mika/pattern.jpgthat is the basic pattern i use. the proportions are off though, so you'll probably have to adjust it. if you have any questions lemme know. um, i did a tutorial on this like just this last weds. so here are some notes, hope they're of help:
To Make a Plushie, you'll need the following:
Scissors
Either Tacky Glue(works best) or Glue Gun(still works)
depending on size of plush you will probably need about this much of the following materials:
Pants: 1/2 yard
shirt: 1/2 yard
skin: 1 to 1&1/2 yards
hair: 1/4 to 1/2 yard or 2-3 felt squares
shoes: 1/8 yard
any accessories your plush may need?
Thread(match the color of thread to your doll and doll's clothes.) you will most likely need at least a roll of black and a roll of white.
1-2 bags of stuffing(make sure it's stuffing, NOT batting)
Sewing machine or needles
Straight Pins
Pencil or chalk
paper
a LOT of patience
A few rules
__________________________
1. (Tyla's Rule!)MAKE THEM FAT! -
It's easier to take in a seam, than to cut it out and start over because it's too small. When you cut out your doll, the proportions will NOT be the same as when you finish it. make sure you cut your pattern at least 1/2 an inch bigger than you want it to be.
2. Glue, good for more than a snack in kindergarten -
Some accessories and smaller items on your plush could prove very difficult to sew, even by hand. glue is your friend! Tacky Glue will hold almost as well as a stitch and it good for just about any detail work, as well as attaching the bangs to your doll's head without an ugly seam.
3. Plan Ahead -
make SURE you have pics of your character from every possible angle. even if you don't want a lot of detail, it can help your planning go a lot smoother.
4. don't be afraid to ask for help -
you may have friends that know how to sew, or a parent that knows. if you're a beginner, it will help you greatly if you learn the basics before starting.
5. Paint -
Now that your plush is done, it probably needs a face. what kind of paint should you use? Well, fabric paints are best, but plain ol' acrylics will work too. make sure you pencil out the face on the doll first, don't go straight to paint. There are several options for eye styles, but here are 2 of the most popular:
1. the chibi eye -
This one is pretty self-explanatory. The eye is in the same style as the anime/manga/game it is originally from, only it's huge and takes up about 1/3 of the face.
2. the button eye -
Button eyes are the easiest. just paint 2 ovals the same color as the characters eyes. no nose, no mouth, just two big ovals. simple and cute.
so... that's it. lemme know if you have any problems! I'll be taking down the link for that pattern really soon, so if you need it, please save it on your hard drive.
~Pan pan
Q-P2:Wow, cool! Spiffy! Thanks! I'll try to get around to making this soon. Stupid school... I'll probably have to ask for advice. ^^' Just curious, do you have any pictures of the plushies you've made? I'd like to see some if you do. ^__^
A-P3:yeah i have some pics, but they're all kinda old stuff.
http://anime.101main.com/mika/sewing.html there if you wanna see 'em. i need to update that page badly....
~pan pan
Okay, that's all of them, I'll edit this as more questions are asked.
