Alena Lashley jerked awake, and looked at her clock 6:39, oh damn she was gonna be late, her bus came in ten minutes. She was really wishing it was 3 months from now because then she could drive her-self to school. Alena ran down staris and got ready for school as quickly as she could, but hal;f way through getting dressed her bus passed her house. "oh crap" she said out loud. she ran into her kitchen and called her best friend from ten years Tim, hopefully he didn't leave yet. "hey, i know its really late but can u pick me up for school?" Alena asked. "sure i'll be right over" tim answered she hung up and waited for him to pick her up.

Tim got off the phone with Alena and walked out the door. He immediatly started thinking about Tanya. It seemed as if that was all he thought about these days.
He was in love with her, it was a very simple statement. Something people say everyday. But what wasn't so simple was he loved her so much. It was the way she smelled (even if it was just shampoo), and that way she walked around (like she didn't have a care in the world), but most of all the way she looked at him. Sometimes when she looked into his eyes, it felt as if he could see right through her, and she knew everything about him. It seemed as if they were planning their whole lives together by just looking at one another, even though they were only friends. When they locked eyes, it felt as if she felt exactly the same way about him as he did about her. Her brown eyes always seemed full of knowledge, and full of luaghter. He would think 'This means something, doesn't it?' But then she would look away, and it would dissapear.
They had been good friends for nearly a year (they had met when they were just sophmores), and only this year, when he had gotten jealous of Tanya's new boyfriend (Shawn), had he realized how in love with her he was. 'He is such an ass', thought Tim as he made a left turn. But as soon as he thought about it, he knew he wasn't really being fair. Shawn was actually pretty cool (he had known him from the football team), if not a little concieted. He wished he could be in Shawn's place more than anything whenever he saw Tanya and him holdin hands
Just then he arrived at Alena's house and she walked out. Even though he loved Alena (but he was not in love with her), she could chatter so much, and sometimes he wished he could just zone off and dream about Tanya.

Alena and Tim arrived to school with her usual amount of chatter. Tehy got out of the car and headed to their first class history. Tim loved and hated it because Tany sat to his left, but shawn sat to his right and hi knew shawn was starting to get suspicious about him being in love with tanya. Shawn saw him staring at her every football practice, and even though they were friends Shawns ego wasn't going to take it.

As the teacher started droning on about World War I, Tim snuck a look at Tanya. The way her hand moved as she wrote, the way her hair draped on her paper, everything about her made him want her.
Then he looked to his right, where Shawn was squinting suspiciously at him. He sighed, and looked down at his notebook, slowly drifting off and daydreaming about Tanya, and how beautiful she looked when she smiled...


When the bell rang at the end of the day, Alena raced out of her classroom to her locker, eager to be getting home. As she stuffed her textbooks into her bag, she saw Tanya walking down the hall, with Shawn's arm draped possessively around her shoulder. She imagined it was her whom he was pecking on the lips before walking away, and that she was his girlfriend. Oh, what it would be like to be dating him. Regretfully, she slammed her locker shut, slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out the door. Everytime she saw Shawn, with his muscular build and confident walk, she wanted nothing more than for him to notice her.
Dream on. she thought. She knew nothing was ever going to happen between them. And she just kept on telling herself that as she walked onto her bus and sat down, staring out the window.

Shawn was a good guy, and Tanya knew it, but she couldn't help wishing for more. They didn't have any problems, and only had had a few minor fights throughout their relationship, but it just didn't feel very fufilling for Tanya. 'What's wrong with me?', she would think 'I have the most sought-after guy in school, and I'm still wishing for something more.' What did she want? That seemed to be the question of the year. Where did she to apply to for college next year? What did she want to do for her career? And why did she suddenly seemed annoyed by Shawn's ego and self-confidance?
Tanya was suddenly inturuppted in her thought by a kiss on her cheek.
"Hey, sorry I starteld you. What were you thinking about with that seriuos, concerned look on your face?", her boyfriend questioned.
"Just about college, and a few other things.", she said, but she had already lost Shawn's attenton. He was nodding at a couple of Juniors walking by.
He suddenly turned back to her, "Sorry, what did you say?"
" Nevermind, lets just go." He took her hand, and she held it somewhat relunctantly. She opened the door of his car and slid in.
"So, how was football practice?", she asked looking straight ahead.
"You knoiw the usual, we got yelled at, and all that shit." he replied nonchalantly. " And hey, what's up with Tim? Does he like you or something?"
She thought about Tim a lot lately. He had green eyes, but dark hair. He was great at football, but didn't always seem exactly like the usual players on his team. He seemed to be genuinly intelligent, and always set a little bit apart from the other guys. He didn't want sex or anything like that. And the only reason Tanya knew this stuff about him, though, was becuase they had become friends last year. He had always seemed so easy to talk to about anything. She had to admit that she had a little crush on him, and when Shawn had asked her that last question, she was suprised but happy that Tim would pay that much attention to her.
"I don't know what your talking about. We're just friends", she replied, delighted.
"We'll maybe you're just friends, but he thinks of you in a differnt way. I can tell. He looks at you in a funny way."
She smiled privately. This had turned out to be a pretty good coversation, to her at least.



This is going well guys! It's fun becuase we don't have to wait for people to update. :D

wow its great guys, keep up the good work, id love to add more but i already have a lot to deal with, i have to write my story and i also have a lot of hw to do, but its great, im also worried that u guys wont like wat i write and it wont turn out the way u want it to :(

Mandy picked up the phone and dialed Alena's number "hello?" "hey gurley! its mandy!" she practicly yelled into the phone "oh- hey, whats up?" Alena asked "i'm having a party tonight, and i reallly want you to come. " okay i'll call tim and tell him." "cool, while ur at it can u ask tim to call the other football players? i mean me and tanya and the other cheerleaders can't do this our selfves." "your not inviting ALL of the cheerleaders are u?" Alena asked her "if u mean Alishia by All then yes, i know you hate her for getting you kicked off the team last year, and stealing your position as captan, but you can't have a party with out Alishia." "i guess, okay talk to you later." Alena sighed. she hung up.

Tanya's phone rang jerking her out of her daydream about tim. "hello?" "hey Baby" a voice on the other end said. she inwardly sighed, Shawn. "Hey, whats up?" "well Mandy is have a party tomarrow you wanna go?"Shawn asked her. "um i don't know i have a TON of homework this weekend." she said tring to get out of it. "oh come on baby everyone will be their, it will be fun , the usual amount of loud music truth or dare, and lots of booze." He persuaded her. "oh yuck i hate drinking, someone always ends up doing something they'll regret." Tanya though "ok fine i guess." she said "cool i'll pick you up at 7:30, love you." he saud "bye" she hung up the phone


**** note whoever does the next chapter it would be realllly cool if all of the characters played truth or dare and the truth about tanya shawn tim and alena came out do it however u wish!!

You could probably have heard the music a mile away. "Yeah" was playing right now, and when Tanya walked in with her arm in Shawn's, she winced a little. 'Jesus, this music is loud', she thought.
Mandy come up to Tanya. "hey, girl! Whats up? This party is awesome, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it's really off the hook," she replied, looking around as casually as possible for Tim.
Mandy kept on chatting away, but Tanya had just spotted him, and was tuning her out. Just as she looked at him, he glanced her way. Then their eyes met, and everything seemed in slow motion. It was probably only about three seconds, but for those few moments they seemed like the only two people in the room. Then, Tanya realized that Mandy was talking, and looked away.
"Hello, earth-to-Tanya! Whats up with you?", Mandy asked a little warily.
Tanya got a little diffensive, "What are you talking about, I'm looking at you."
"Whatever. Anyway...", but Tanya tuned her out again.
It seemed like these types of moments were ahppening a lot lately. She would look at him, and feel...differnt. Like she knew everything about him. Of course she liked him, but was it as simple as that? Was it just a little crush? Or more?
Then Mandy took her arm, and they made their way through the party.

it was about an hour into the party and Aleana was already drunk, wo cares? she thought as she downed another drink. she had been watching shawn all night with tanya and seeing as drinking was supossed to make your forget, she was hoping to drown out all of her thought, but the more she drank the more it hurt. She jumped when she felt a pair of arms around her waist. she looked over her shoulder, tim. "Hey what are you doing?' she asked "lets go make them jelous" He whispered in her ear. Tim dragged her over to shawn and Aleana and they started danceing right in front of them.

Tanya couldn't take her eyes off Tim and alena they were right there just danceing. Mandy popped up "hey you wanna play truth or dare?" she asked "sure" Tanya said "what the hell" tim added they all got in a circle around a table. It was Tim Aleana shawn, Mandy, Tanya, Alishia, and Mick storinger. "ok this is truth or dare with a twis, if you don't do your truth or dare u Must do the other AND take a shot of this. Alishia held up a bottle of vodka

"umm...okay," Tanya said unenthusiaticly (sp?). About 10 people came and sat around in a circle. Among them were Tim, and Alena. Shawn was off talking to his pose, and Tanya ws glad. She didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of him.
"Who's first?" asked Alena inocently. No one said anything. "Common guys, this is supposed to be fun! Now who's first?"
Finally tim gave in. "I guess I'll go."
"Okay, great! so- truth or dare?"
Tim didn't want to be asked any questions about Tanya, since lots of people were already suspicious of his feelings for her.
"Dare," he answered, unsure of his choice. Alena looked around the circle mysteriously.
"I dare you to



YOUR TURN!

ahhh somebody update and fast!

"I dare you to" Alena looked around the circle again and thought of a dare that might give her a shot at Shawn. Perfect, she thought. "I dare you to strip for us." She said as she reached for the boom box and turned on somw music. She knew this was risky, but if Tanya liked what she saw, then maybe she would leave Shawn once and for all. (ha, that rhymes.)

Tanya felt her mouth drop open. OKAY, SOMEBODY ELSE.

p.s. if you don't like it, make a different dare. im totally okay w/ it :D
