As Gaia was walking down Washington Square Park she wondered if maybe she was born to be a loner or she was cursed to her life all jumbled up and crazy whatever direction she took.First of all,Ed absolutely hates her and he has a new love interest and he has totally forgotten about her and that was the most painful feeling she ever felt.She Knew it was her fault anyways because of the lies and deceptions she kept from him.Gaia looked around the park warily looking for thugs or rapicts or probably Tatiana and Natasha to beat up their sorry***for decieving her and her father and nearly trying to kill her.Gaia promised to herself that she would get revenge on them.....she would make sure of that even of it took forever.She looked around again and gave a heavy sigh that could have been heard 3,000 miles,probably where her father is.She sullenly walked over to the chess table hoping she could snatch away a couple bucks from Zolov,she didn't want to sound aggresive or harrasing,but this hasn't been a really great day for her,especially not today.As Gaia got there her frown turned into a scowel but inside her heart was pounding furiously and it was pumping faster than usual and all the blood she had rushed up to her face and felt her knees go absolutely weak.....of all the people she expected to see sitting right across Zolov did not cross her mind,especially himmmm....Jake,Jake was sitting right across Zolov playing a chess game a really good chess game.She had to admit he was quite good probably twice as better than Sam.He was truly fantastic and she despised thinking that thought pretty much saying it outloud.Suddenly,Jake looked up from the chess board and his ver,very light green eyes lit up lighter than the street lights and he gave her a soft dimpled smile.Gaia felt every ounce of blood she had rushed to her face,but Gaia didn't dare look at him she just pretended not to see him at all.She continued walking to the chess table,"This isn't his park and I'm allowed here anytime,besides I've been here longer and I've played chess here longer too,she thought indigiantly!!!!"Zolov looked up happily Cindy!Cindy!Cindy! he cried out with a gleeful toothless smile.This boy here ows me 40 bucks,he said, pointing a bony finger at Jake, I won two games already! In return Gaia gave him a weak little smile.Her eyes accidentally darted to Jake and she hasn't realized that this whole time he had been staring at her and she felt cheeks turn crimson and Jake caught her looking up at him and his own cheeks reddened.Hey Gaia,he said choking out the words,what a concidence meeting you here he stammared.Maybe we can play a game or two,he knew that sounded lame and dull to his own ears,but everytime he was around her and saw that beautiful mythical pale blond hair and those ever so piercing blue eyes and that striking strong body he probably just lost his mind all together.Gaia muttered a maybe and instantly changed her mind about playing and mumbled a quick good-bye and strolled of in a quick pace.Jake quickly stood up snatched his wallet and threw 40 bucks on the table and heard Zolov yelling behind him.....wait!wait!wait! we still haven't finished this game you scared pathetic chicken!He mumbled a back a really not thought apology,whatever he thought like I pretty much care.G!G! she heard Jake calling her name and she sllowly halted to a stop.WHAT do you want she said rudely,spitting out the words,I don't really have time for this unlike some people I actually have a life her eyes focused on his intently.Jake rolled his eyed dramatically I know,I know this will just take about five minutes of your precious time,I just want to ask you something he said nervouly shifting his eyes to the floor.I'm just wondering if you can go on a study date with me.....right now,thats not what he wanted to ask her but it would do for now.Gaia pondered this for a couple minutes staring at his chisled features,I have no idea where my father is and I'm completely clueless where to start and I have nothing to do and this guy actually wants to be my friend,she thought gleefully.For a few minutes she actually felt like an average 17 year old teenager,not a bulky freak.Gaia looked down on the concrete and mumbled a soft yes.Jake looked at her his eyes dancing,did you actually say yes,he asked happily.Gaia's eyes flashed do you want me to change my mind,she inquired?NO,NO,NO he insisted.Jake gave her a fond happy look,WHAT she snapped,nothing he said softly,your just pure beautiful he thought to himself.So,where should we study she asked?How about Jimmy's Burrito,but she just shrugged her shoulders nonchantly and said fine with me as dully as she can,but inside she was beaming with happiness and she felt a bit giddy.Without thought Jake leaned over and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek,Gaia blushed and felt her heart thud really loud and smelled hs spicy colonge and hid orest scent shampoo from his nearness and she really wished that his kiss would have been somewhere else than her cheek,like her mouth,and that thouht increased her heart beat.Gaia pulled away quickly and regained her composure and said briskly,"Aren't we supposed to be studying she asked?"Right at that moment Gaia forgot all about her problems,about her and Ed,her and Sam,and importantly her father's abductness and right now Gaia forgot about EVERYTHING except HER and JAKE and OHHHHHH Yeahhhhhhh.................STUDYING!!!! :love2:
