For those who haven't heard, Fearless is being moved to midseason.
I found this from
thewb.com"ONE TREE HILL," FROM TOLLIN/ROBBINS AND WARNER BROS. TELEVISION, MOVES TO THE FALL SCHEDULE, WITH "FEARLESS" MOVING TO MIDSEASON FOR THE WB
BURBANK, CA (July 10, 2003) - ONE TREE HILL, from Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television, will move up from midseason to the fall schedule on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. following GILMORE GIRLS, it was announced today by Jordan Levin, President, Entertainment for The WB. ONE TREE HILL will replace FEARLESS, which will move to midseason. The move was made at the request of Executive Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Bros. Television President Peter Roth.
Joint Statement from Executive Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Peter Roth, President, Warner Bros. Television Productions, Inc.:
"After careful and thorough consideration, we have recommended to The WB that to best insure the highest quality and attention for FEARLESS, we launch the series at midseason. We're extremely grateful to The WB for supporting us and for allowing us this opportunity."
Statement from Jordan Levin:
"We consider ONE TREE HILL to be one of the strongest pilots we developed the year. We decided to launch it at midseason in the hopes of replicating the success we had with DAWSON'S CREEK, both being youthful serials created by strong feature writers and, coincidentally, both shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. We are extremely confident in this program and feel it has a strong opportunity to breakout this fall amidst a slew of procedural dramas and a compatible lead-in with GILMORE GIRLS. Another advantage for us is that ONE TREE HILL was scheduled to go into production on August 12, which means we do not have to accelerate production in order to have the show ready for a fall launch.
"Needless to say, we are thrilled to be in business with Jerry Bruckheimer, whose track record speaks for itself. We respect his request to give FEARLESS more time to develop naturally. Jerry assures us that he can deliver a better show for us at midseason. Since we had such a strong program as ONE TREE HILL to move onto the fall schedule, it made the decision an easy one for us."
About ONE TREE HILL:
Aside from a love for hoops, it would seem that Lucas (Chad Michael Murray, "Dawson's Creek," "Gilmore Girls") and Nathan (newcomer James Lafferty) are two young men with little in common, but they are bound by the dark secret that they share the same father. Arrogant and assured, Nathan is the star of the high school basketball team and hails from a wealthy family. Quiet and driven, Lucas is the only child of a single working mom. Now the two boys' lives collide when a twist of fate puts Lucas on Nathan's team and the half-brothers compete, not only for control of the court, but also for the heart of Nathan's beautiful girlfriend Peyton (Hilarie Burton, "MTV's TRL"). Years in the making, a deep and bitter conflict slowly unfolds as the two boys struggle to come to terms with who they really are, and a father who has chosen to live vicariously through one son, while ignoring the existence of the other. Also starring Paul Johansson ("John Q," "Beverly Hills, 90210"), Moira Kelly ("The West Wing"), Craig Sheffer ("A River Runs Through It") and Barry Corbin ("Northern Exposure"). This new drama is from executive producer Mark Schwahn ("The Perfect Score"), executive producers Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola.
