first non fearless one!

"They’re coming! Oh Good Anali they're coming!" Josh Shouted at me. I turned and listened; sure enough i could hear their feet pounding on the stair above us.
"Run. Go I'll hold them off!: He yelled again "Joshi I-" I started "GO!" he insisted cutting me off.
He threw his weight against the door at it was trying to be forced open. That was all the encouragement I needed to escape.
I looked around at the only window in the basement just above the ground, it would be hard but i could fit through the tiny space.
I hurried to it and ripped it open and clambered onto the windowsill slipping a few times due to my lack or height.
I shimmied through the window space, thanking god for my petite bone structure.
Just as I got through, I heard the basement door crash open. "I love you Josh." I yelled at I took off in the opposite direction.
If he replied I wouldn't have heard him. As I sprinted up the road I wondered if I would ever hear him again, it was highly unlikely.
It would take a miracle just for me to get home. HOME. At this thought a wave of homesickness washed over me. Three weeks ago, I'd never thought I'd be running like this. Three weeks ago, I was going on shopping sprees and getting my nails done with my friends every Friday. I'd go to a party every Saturday night. Three weeks ago I was like any other kid in West Beach California. Rich, spoiled, and ignorant. That was before Josh. Before the Ridgers. Before my families diamond mine company got me kidnapped.
