Title: Chassis Number Help.
Description: What's the preceeding letter?

monkeyhanger - September 4, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
OK - been checking the old documents with the car, stuggling to get a replacement V5 :o

The car chassis number seems to say P5965 (almost Illegible), but the old MOT's varyingly have R9565, C5965.

Assuming the numbers are correct - what should the preceeding character be? P, R or C ??? ;)

Ta.

According to the dutton owners club site numbers for the series 4 go from 5540 to 6227. Mines is P057--
Not far from you Stew ,I have (Andy S) series 4 bought it earlier this year from him.
Had it in for it,s mot today failed only on the handbrake, will get it retested asap.
If you want to look over my series 4 give us a shout could come down some time, the car is well documented on this site under Andy s

good luck with the build
