I have a legerra and the rear end is very harsh and bumps about a lot, it is fitted with spax adjustable shocks and I have turned them down to the softest setting but this has not helped! :( I guess the spring rates are to hard? any ideas on a starting point for spring rates? I have also adjusted the tyre pressure to 22 psi.
Many Thanks
Rob
What type of rear springing do you have fitted? Because that could limit your options considerably

They are coil springs fitted to the spax shocks
If Mr Dutton was consistent then the rate would be around 175lb as standard - This rate is what I have fitted to my S4 and its pretty stiffly sprung.
You can work the rate out by diameter of wire diameter of coil and number of coils.
What you also need to consider with softening the springs is how much suspension you actually have to play with untill things start coming together.
I would remove one of the suspsion units and take the spring off and try and measure the rate - you can build a simple sring tester with a few bits of angle a bolt and some bathroom scales.
