:D

Oh well so the sump got another hammering   on the way home but Sean and I braved the weather - damp and chilly but good enough :) to go for the post Christmas drive out with the Shropshire Alternative Car Club - a good mix of cars turned up

Dutton S4 ;)
Westie 1800S :ph43r:
Birkin S3
MK3 Big Healey - Original '66 B)
Sebring Healey Copy
Dutton Sierra :o
BMW Converts
MK Indy
Jago
Tin Tops

It was a really good day and the guy with the Big Healey was not hanging about at all
 :ph43r: B)

Sean figured that sense rather than bravery was the order of the day so tagged along as co pilot with me rather than slithering along in the 8. good call although its was probably him the Xmas dinner that reduced the ground clearance enough to modify the sump

If it were not for the oilslick under the car today I would have been out in it today however its now up on axle stands with a large drip tray sitting under it - 2.0L Pinto with shortend sump going in, in the next few weeks.

Have a good new year

Andrew

Nice one Andy, would love to be driving about but i always sorn over the winter so i can enjoy blatting about in the summer. Rather than being cautious over the winter period :(

Nice mix of cars there though ;)

The S3 was always brought as a toy :)

Also have a good new year

ps hows the westy doing ?

Westie is in the garage up on stands while I do what I do when I get a new car. There is not really a lot a builder can do with Westie to screw up the build - Its just a complete bolt together kit so the bits that can be given "personal" touches are limited.

However......

Even with a genuine and very well built Westfield loom available the builder seemed to have the idea that it would be better off with a good handfull of badly crimped terminals and scotch locks. <_<

At least it gives me something to do what with that and removing the glue from the ali paneling from where the carpeting used to be ;)

Cheers

Andrew
