HI i would like to know if any one has fitted a 2.9 efi v6 from a granada in a leggrra and if so have they got any tips on how to get it in and what will need changeing as i am thinking of undertaking this convertion in a month or two any help would be grate
p.s the car has a 1.6 pinto and 4 speed box fitted at the moment

I would think the least you are looking at is body removal, surgery on the chassis, the gearbox tunnel and possibly a few other bits as well. Stronger shocks and springs on the front of course, servo for the brakes (assuming there isn't one already)vented discs perhaps. why not just use a zetec lump, and 5 speed (MT75)?

Should be an easy enough fit, there are a few out there with V6's in allready, I'm using the 24v cosworth version of the 2.9 cologne which will be a tight fit due to the width of the heads but the 12v will drop in fine, you may need to do a little surgery on the bulkhead if you want to get the engine as far back as possible. It would be very wise as Adrian stated to strengthen the chassis first if it hasn't been done allready, just use 50mm box along the lengths of the bottom chassis rails, it makes a hell of a difference, also remeber that using an injected engine you will need to weld a swirl pot into the fuel tank.
