Well, I have been on a scavenge for a pair of black bat wings. So, I ask to questions.

1) Does anyone happen to have a pair and would you be willing to sell them / trade them?

2) If not, can anything know of a way to get them?

(OOC : I know that doing an AMAZING good quest would be enough to inherit one, but that is near impossible for what grading procedures could be asking for. ><)

(OOC: Well, actually, you can't get one from a normal quest; it has to be a special event.)

Well, I know everyone wants one, but it just remember back from what I've heard in past news of "The World" and apparently you could get stuff like Bat Wings or Angel Wings for like 1500 GP. Apprenatly is was a Summer Party of some sort. I think maybe we should have another one.

I think that would be a good idea...except they should cost like 10,000 gp. That way we could prevent them from being overused by everyone and they could still have a "rare" value.

The Delta Fair? Yeah, I've heard of it from some of the older players. Wish I had joined back then. Though I don't think you can buy wings... I've heard that you can get Costume items and some other rare items, though.

(OOC: The 1500 GP price was the selling price for the Bat Wings. You could never buy them in a store.)

Yea, it was the Delta Fair. Oh, well I assumed that bat wings and angel wings would go alone with costume items. lol Yea, that's a good idea Blitz. Because, let's put it this way. I know Twinkle for a fact has only made about 46,000 GP from profits from The World TCG. So, she'd only be able to get 4 of those. So, it would technically keep the rarity value of it.

I've even asked an Administrator(Rayo) about it at one time, but he said that the possibility that it would reopen was low. The fact that getting those rare items were so easy and the game were dull(Hard to RP games), so the possibility of reopening is extremely low. Besides, Rares are suppose to be gotten through skill, not through a bag of money, as some people do.

(OOC : Well, the skill required to get a rare is beyond the ability of most people who have a life. XP Maybe you might be able to Slicer, since you don't. lmao, j/k j/k) Well, I guess we'll just have to try other ways to get it until they make new ways.

Besides, if it was easy to get, then the status of rare would be lost. That's the reason they are rare; because they're hard to get.

(OOC: This isn't actually true, Rayo has told me that you can get a rare from a normal quest. It just has to be really, really damn good. :P )

I have a pair of Chibi Angel Wings, but obviously that is the exact opposite of what you're looking for. But I'll tell you one thing: it is very, very hard to get people to separate from a pair of wings. I myself cherish these wings very much, and getting them from me would be like trying to get something out of a crocodile's mouth.

Wings are a much sought after commodity in The World, and finding somebody who would trade them off would not only be a one in a million, but it would also cost you a lot. In fact, I'd guess that wings have THE most value, aside from the Dragon (or something similar) set.

Heh heh, who would use money to obtain rares? *hides large bag of gold behind his back* Certainly not me!

Perhaps there will be a special event one day just for people who want to obtain wings. Of course, there would most likely be a minimum level you would have to be and the event would most likely be difficult. But as long as it isn't as hard as the Frozen Cherry Pie event...I don't think I'd mind.

Lol, I agree with you Blitz. I think that's actually a really good idea. What about this though. A special event where basically you submit what type of costume-based rare item you would like and then you go through whatever the special event there is there for you and if you complete it successfully, then you would get that item. Although it would have to be a very hard event to complete, but I would love the challenge.

ooc:Two notes, as Fuzzhead has said, they can be won in a quest. Its just practically impossible, thats all.

Well, how about we change the topic idea slightly. What ways do you think may be good for obtaining rare costume-based items? If you say like a special event, elaborate on it more. If you have any other ideas, give some detail to them also.

OOC: An amazing quest...amazing enough that it requires consideration. Also, I believe Phoe and I play IC Admins, although knowledge of that is limited only to CC Corp, and not to regular players.

We should have a Tanabata Summer Festival event! I heard they had one of these once a long time ago...perhaps another could be considered?

OOC: For those of you who haven't watched the .hack//Legend of Twilight series...there was a episode where Balmung created an event called the "Tanabata Summer Festival". The event was based on some old legend where someone named Orhime had to be rescued (I vaguely remember how the legend went). But anyways, the contest was that one random female player was chosen to represent "Orhime". She stood at one end of a large body of water and all the other players were on the other end. Whoever reached "Orhime" and "rescued" her first got a single wish granted to them (and also got to kiss Orhime ^_^ ). But anyways, I think an event like this would be fun...whoever wins get the item of their choice! Also, I believe all the female characters got to wear yukatas for the event...hehe, how amusing.

Well, that would be like a special event, which is what the CC Corp already do. Hmm... a race... Heavy Blades have never been the top speed athletes and that Swimming Competition doesn't bring back fond memories... But what the heck. If CC Corp does do something like that, I'll probably be around ^_^
