"Another day in another world..." Michael said quietly to himself. He hopped down into his chair and spun to face his computer monitor. The screen was black, and had shut off automatically soon after he had left for school. Now back home, he pressed the black button located at the bottom edge of the monitor. Its orange glow faded to green and it kicked on, sounding a click-like sound. The orange, default ALTIMIT desktop appeared, reminding Michael that he should change it to something else. Moving his mouse pointer over the World icon, he double-clicks it, starting the game.

Once again, the golden rings passed over the Chaos Gate within Mac Anu, this time revealing the Twin Blade named Sydofh. Stepping forward he adjusted to the vivid light coming from the cerulean sky, which momentarily blinded him. Avatars rushed all around him, going on with their business. They took no notice in the green-haired fighter, with the exception of a few who glanced at him as they passed. It didn't matter to him, as he didn't wish for the attention of everyone. Having a few acknowledgements would have been fine, but that wasn't to be for at least today.
He wouldn't be spending much time within the root server, as a duel awaited his arrival. It was against Slicer, who was someone he knew, although more as an acquaintance than as a friend. The two, along with four other characters, had attempted to have a three-team duel. In the end however, half of them didn't show up, and the duel was called off. Now he would be taking the Heavy Blade one-on-one. Sydofh had not dueled in quite a while, so to him this duel would be interesting. His current duel record was three wins, two losses, but he knew that records would not mean anything once the fight commenced.
Reentering the Chaos Gate, the Twin Blade enters the key words that were given for the duel. His body dissipates as the rings rise from below him, passing over his body within a matter of seconds. After seconds of total darkness, he could feel ground beneath his feet again. Then, his senses picked up the smell and sound of the field. Before he knew it the area was revealed to him.
The smell of saltwater was the first thing Sydofh noticed before he would gaze around. He could hear water flowing around him and the sound of gentle waves spilling into one another; but then something caught him off guard. The soft waves that he had been able to hear, he now felt against his legs. For the first time he looked down, and he could not see his feet or the lower portion of his legs. Instead he could only see what he had smelled just a moment beforehand. It leveled at his knees, and its murky color disallowed him the chance to see beneath its surface.
Ok, this isn’t cool. I guess I’ll find some dry land.
However, looking around, the only thing to be seen was a never-ending ocean. There were no trees, grass, stone structures; nothing but the body of water he stood in. He knew the field was water, but he couldn’t have fathomed how centered the field was to that element. For now, he could only stand and wait for Slicer, and hope that sharks did not exist within the World.

Dueling. Gotta love it. Slicer looked up at the sun. It’s blazing glory filled the entire town of Mac Anu with it’s heat and power. Digital heat. Remarkable how much games have advanced...
He moved his hands behind his head while moving his legs up. Then, using the force from both sides, propelled himself upright. He had been lying ontop of a large box. It had been placed in the middle of nowhere, a remote region of Mac Anu that no one went to except find peace. There, people were scattered around, all waiting for something or another to happen. Slicer’s time had came, and there was something for him to do.
Jumping down the crates, Slicer was careful not to bump into anyone. He had wasted some time already, but it wasn’t the time limit yet. The time limit had been placed there to make it so some people didn’t have to wait an eternity for the duel. Slicer had patience, after all, alot of his duel wins were either because of point losses or just plain old bad fighting. It didn’t matter anymore, though. Right now, he had another challenge to face. The challenge’s name was Sydofh.
Slicer remembered back a bit, when thinking about that name. He had asked Kiwi, his clan’s leader about him. Sydofh had, it seemed, once been apart of their clan, but quit for some reason or another. Another time he had seen him was during a duel called The Three Team Duel. It had been horrible. There wasn’t any need to think of it, though.
Slicer had checked some stuff a while back, and found Sydofh to be of the same level as him. It was finally going to be a challenge, and hopefully, this challenge wouldn’t disappear because of problems on his end of the connection, because Slicer wouldn’t.
As he moved closer to the stairs that had been ahead of him, he noticed the Chaos Gate. It was the transporting device inside of The World. It slowly spun on it’s side, waiting for commands to be issued to it.
Before he got to the gate, Slicer checked his items. “Magnifier, check. Brigandine, check. Leather Gloves, check. Jungle Boots, check. All clear and ready to fight.”
When he got close enough, Slicer told the gate that he had to go to the duel. Soon enough, three magical rings, send forth by the gate, descended upon the Heavy Blade. It slowly sent the player’s data to a distant plain, only to be reassembled later on.
Before Slicer opened his eyes, he could feel water going into his feet. Opening his eyes, he noticed water enveloped the entire field. It was almost if a lake had drowned out all life and made this field his own. Ah, me and my beautiful thoughts... He thought, as he looked around for his opponent.
After a couple minutes of searching, he saw Sydofh. Quickly, he whispered the words, “Ap Vakz.” Spheres of energy appeared from his body, as SP was drained from his bar. Slowly, the lights turned red, and formed together, forming three spheres of red light. They circled around his body, as the blood from within him started to boil. It wasn’t painful in anyway. It was just the way the Ap Vakz spell worked. It would increase his fire attack and defense for a bit, before the spell was extinguished. Not liking to make surprise attacks, Slicer shouted, “Yo! I’m going to attack! I’m not going to hold back! Don’t die on me with my first attack!” With this, Slicer charged.
On his way towards his opponent, Slicer pulled out the Magnifier. It was his newest toy. It looked like his old Slayer(which he had brought for back-up). The blade was curved, instead of sharp, making it slash easier than those poking things. Two black lines twisted around the blade, forming circles. The red blade was probably meant to represent fire. The weapon had two skills. An Ap Vakz and a Vak Drive. The Ap Vakz was there to help the Vak Drive become even more devastating. The blade even had an effect, probably to help those who used SP too much. It was Skill Drain. The effect drained SP from opponents and added it to the user’s own. Very useful when you ran out of SP easily.
As Slicer neared his prey, he shouted out the words, “Vak Drive!” The blade turned a scorching red, before it actually caught on fire. The Vak Drive was a series of three attacks. Each would be powered by the element of fire. The first strike was a basic thrust towards the opponent’s chest area. The next attack made the user pull the blade back slightly, and make a horizontal slash through the middle stomach area of the enemy. The last attack was the strongest one. Using the force of the SP and your own leg muscles, you jumped into the air, did a quickly front flip, and landed with the sword on your opponent’s head, hopefully slicing them cleanly open. Slicer did all of this and as the final attack came to an end, when it hit the water, it sizzled, and left Slicer quite vulnerable to a counterattack. Hope this water affects Sydofh’s speed, like I hoped...

Sydofh - September 8, 2004 01:41 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Sorry for the wait...a three day weekend.))
The flames upon the crimson blade sizzled as Slicer thrust it forward. Sydofh could see the sword coming towards him; and he felt the heat created by it. He knew that the water would not allow him to dodge to the side, or jump back.
When Slicer had first appeared, the Twin Blade had drawn his Shadow Blades. They were strangely shaped compared to other Twin Blade weapons, as the blades themselves were shaped almost like an axe blade. Although they were larger than other weapons of that class, their shape would prove useful to defend against the sword being used by Slicer.
The blade was now ever so close, and Sydofh would have to defend now if he hoped to reduce some or all of the damage. Swinging his right blade outward, it collides with the sword. The force of his swing pulled the sword to the side at its curve, until the two blades separated. The Vak Drive attack was not complete, however, and Slicer turned his blade and swung it back towards the open Twin Blade.
Sydofh, in a sense of sudden panic, pulled his right blade in front of him. The split seconds he had been given did not allow him to prepare for the full blow, but at least he would protect his chest from being hit. The red, fiery blade sliced into his right side, tearing through his leather jacket and tank top. The sword continued around to the front, until it again collided with Sydofh's Shadow Blade. A few sparks flew from the clash, but were engulfed by the flames erupting from the Magnifier.
Slicer pulled the blade back, and then leaped up and into the air. His body rotated forward as his body slightly rolled up. Making a full revolution, he reached the apex of his jump. Coming down, Slicer swung his blade in an overhead manner. Its flames surge in all directions, hiding the sword from view.
The jump allowed Sydofh to prepare to block the attack, and he placed his right foot slightly back. It would allow him to retain the force of the blow and not be knocked backwards. As the Magnifier comes closer he raises his blades above him. It connects with the Shadow Blades but is frozen between the two of them. A small flame licked the Twin Blade's face, which reminded him of the extreme heat given off by the sword.
The force pushed him back a few inches, but he retained his balance and gathered his strength for a countermove. Sliding his right foot back to its original position, Sydofh pushes himself out of the water and flips back. His blades slide up the Magnifier until they once again separate. The flip brought his legs under the blades as he continued to rotate back, and the flames almost burned his legs. Slicer's force on the Shadow Blades had disappeared, which caused him to swing the Magnifier down until he caught his balance.
Landing a few feet back from where he previously stood, Sydofh looked to see that the Heavy Blade was open to an attack. He didn't want to attack in a physical manner, mainly due to him wanting to use the space between he and Slicer to his advantage. So a spell would have to do.
Well, I have Vak Kruz, but it is of the fire element. And I distinctly remember that Ap Vakz was cast, which would render my attack useless. I also have Rai Rom, which...yes, Rai Rom would definitely prove to be very useful.
Seeing the perfect opportunity, Sydofh leaped into the air. High above the water he raises his blades and speaks the words of his first attack. "Rai Rom!" An electrical charge appears before him, and he chooses Slicer to be the target as he aims for the lower portion of Slicer's body. The ball of lightning is launched forward, hurtling down towards the Heavy Blade. Sydofh planned on it connecting with Slicer, and if not it would at least hit the water. When it did, the water would become electrified momentarily, and would hopefully fry Slicer in the process.
This is going to be one hell of a duel.

As the Vak Drive hit, Slicer finally saw the results. They weren’t pretty...
When the first attack from the Vak Drive was in effect, Sydofh used one of his weapons and shifted the direction of the attack, causing the sword to miss it’s target’s vital areas and go left, however the flames from the Drive licked the opponent’s jacket, burning a small hole through it, but not catching fire. Drawing his Magnifier back, Slicer swung the sword again. This time, the attack was completely blocked, despite the extreme strength behind the sword and the power of the Drive itself. Slicer quickly jumped into the air, bring the sword down with tremendous ferocity. The flaming blade smashed into the two weapons from the Twinblade. Neither weapon gave an inch for the first few seconds, until Sydofh was pushed back a slight ways. Sydofh quickly moved his blade up the Magnifier, knocking out some of the dying flames, before getting the weapons to release and before he flipped away. The sword slammed into the water, creating a huge wave of steam that rolled across Slicer, only to disappear a couple seconds later.
The weapon was still underwater, and it could probably be seen that it was stuck. Slicer began pulling it out, though. It took some time, all the while, looking at his opponent. As the weapon came out, the Twinblade leapt into the air, using the agility and power of the Twinblade class.
The jump didn’t seem humanly possible, until had seen Twinblades in action, which Slicer had, many times in the past. Sydofh soon raised his weapons and shouted the incantation for a spell. ”Rai Rom!” A ball of yellow electrical energy appeared before Sydofh. Electric attack... and I’m in water... Crap... The ball of energy shot towards Slicer, like a cannonball, heading straight for Slicer’s legs. Thinking quickly, Slicer jumped forward, just as soon as the blast hit the water. Being a Heavyblade, Slicer had nowhere near as good jumping capabilities as Sydofh, but he wasn’t trying to be. Infact, he was hoping for his small jump.
The blast of electricity hit the water, causing a field of electricity to hit the water. The field got weaker as it spread, eventually ending. When Slicer landed, he was still in the field, but it was definitely a weaker part of the field. The attack was amplified by the water running throughout the field, but Slicer didn’t have time to think about such small things such as pain right now. He rushed through the water, even though the electricity was starting to numb his legs. Slicer soon got out the radius of the attack, but he didn’t stop. He was heading for straight where Sydofh would land. As he got to the spot, he swung his sword in a crescent shape, going from up and down, going for the kill...

Sydofh - September 13, 2004 02:11 PM (GMT)
As the Twin Blade reached the apex of his jump, the water below him became electrified. He looked down to see Slicer leap into the air as well. The height however, was not in close comparison to that of Sydofh’s. He falls back down into the water, yet in a region still affected by the Rai Rom attack. Although the charge was not as powerful where the Heavy Blade had stood before, it still was enough to deal damage.
Slicer runs ahead, away from the center of the attack and towards the Twin Blade, who now lowered back down from his extraordinary leap. The charge rushed through his body, but his legs took the majority of the surge. Walking was difficult, and the Heavy Blade stumbled forward a few times, the numbness setting into his lower extremities. He did not fall though, but instead continued to push forward with his legs, until finally, he passed the edge of the electrical charge. The sense of feeling came back quickly, allowing him to regain his full balance.
Then, he saw his opportunity to strike. Even though Sydofh was not totally defenseless, he was more so than on the ground. Pulling his sword at his side, Slicer charges forward with as much speed as his body would allow. Then, he leaps upward and raises his blade above his head. His body climbs upward above the murky water, until he reaches the height of the Twin Blade. The two cross paths, as Sydofh lowers and Slicer rises.
At that moment, the Heavy Blade puts his attack into action. He swings his blade from an overhead position, and thrusts it down below him. His arms tightened, and he hoped that his strength would overcome, and that the attack would end the duel.
Sydofh could do nothing but watch the Heavy Blade react to the Rai Rom attack. It did not worked out as planned, although it had done some damage. Now however, he was back onto the defensive side of things. He was in mid air, open to nearly any attack that Slicer could deal. The Twin Blade knew that he would likely not be hit by a spell, as two were cast just a minute ago. He was right, as Slicer instead attempts a mid air strike. The Twin Blade could see him as they passed, and saw the blade move downwards. His blades had been held in front of him, but now he raised them above his head. The last thing he wanted was to have his head sliced into halves.
His attempt at a block was a noble one, but not good enough to deflect the oncoming blow. The crimson blade slices into his back and pushes his body end over end. Rotating, the blade slices down the middle of his spine. The blade exited when his body had fallen out of its reach. He could feel himself passing through the sky, until his body collided with the water. The gentle liquid became a brick wall, and the Twin Blade’s ribs cracked. His body submerged, and then slammed into the Earth. Again, he could feel more bones break before his body rose to the top of the water, his face smothered in the liquid.
The pain was unimaginable, and he felt like a broken toy, except his broken parts could not be so easily replaced. The oxygen from his lungs withered to a limited quantity, yet he could not take any air in from his underwater position. He tried to roll himself over, but his body was so weak that he could not. Although his mind was clouded with the thoughts of his pain and suffering, only one thought seemed to run clearly through his mind: I’m going to drown to death.
The Twin Blade could open his mouth, and he blew a bubble, which was something he would be able to do in his last fleeting moments. A sense of reality was beginning to settle in, and he knew that this was the end.
No. I’m not ready to die yet.
Sydofh blows more bubbles, all floating above his head. He laughed aloud, but could not be heard underneath the water’s surface. The Twin Blade says ‘hello’, and although it could not be heard, it had been said. He could feel his life draining away, and he knew he had to do something.
"REPTH!" shouted Sydofh. The command was not clear, but in The World, the command did not have to be heard for it to commence. Shimmering lights suddenly appeared all around him, then cascading over his severely wounded body. His broken bones had now become unbroken, and his wounds all but disappeared from his flesh.
Now that he could move without feeling pain, the Twin Blade raised his head out of the water, gasping for the delicious air that was withheld from him a moment ago. Sucking the oxygen into his lungs, a small pain resurged from the right side of his ribs. Having felt the ache, Sydofh realized that the spell had not fully restored his health. He didn’t care though, as being alive was better than floating along in a state of death.
The Twin Blade’s hair was drenched and was beginning to block his vision. He wiped his bangs back and to the sides; using his forearm, as his hands were engaged with holding the Shadow Blades. Having his full vision back, Sydofh looked too see if Slicer had yet landed.

As Slicer was just about to launch his upwards slash, he stopped. Instead, he jumped upwards, raising his blade above his head. His jump wasn’t magnificent, but this time, it was more for height than distance, so it was a bit higher than his last jump. Sydofh was about to fall straight onto Slicer. Slicer quickly swung his blade from his over his head and moved it down, in a slicing motion. I doubt this’ll end the fight... Slicer thought, as his blade went for Sydofh.
Sydofh raised his blades above his head, trying to block the blade from going into the Twinblade’s head. The Twinblade was facing away, yet he must have seen the attack coming, so he moved the blades above his head. It was too late for Slicer to stop the attack, but he could shift it slightly. Slicer pulled the blade a bit towards him, so the Magnifier touched the weapons held by Sydofh, sending out fiery sparks, before it cut into the back of it’s enemy. Sydofh was hit hard and the fall into the water had done even more damage. His body plummeted into the water, sending out a huge geyser of water to spray into the air.
Slowly, Slicer’s jump ended and gravity did it’s job, but Slicer landed into the water, and on his feet. His Jungle Boots were now completely soaked. Water had made it’s new home within Slicer’s boots.
Slicer watched the spot where Sydofh had landed. There’s no possible way for my opponent to be defeated so easily. There never has been an easy victory, and there never shall. I’ll make sure that I win with style or lose with dignity. As the thought appeared in Slicer’s head, small bubbles appeared from where Sydofh had landed. A gargled sound appeared, quickly followed by white light surrounding the spot where Sydofh was. Knew it... Sydofh’s head moved out of the water, seeming to gasp for air. ”Welcome back...” Slicer whispered under his breath, as he watched his opponent suck in the life around him, the air that all people needed. Sydofh whiped his wet hair away from his head, giving his eyes a clear vision. Slicer hadn’t acted at all. He was still standing there, with his feet on the watery floor and watching his opponent.
My health should be good enough for now not to need a repth spell yet. My SP is a serious down, though. I’ll have to use as little as possible for right now, unless I can drain some SP from my opponent with my Magnifier... A slight grin appeared across the side of Slicer’s face. He knew that the chances were slim, but with all his attacks came the slight chance of his weapon’s special skill activating. The skill could be just the boost Slicer needed to win this duel. All he needed was enough SP to make it so Sydofh wouldn’t be able to use Repth as much. It would be a challenge, but Slicer loved challenges...
Slicer threw his Leather Gloves away. They didn’t look like they were there anymore, but their status boosts and such were there. Doesn’t have a good grip anymore... Slicer thought, as he held onto his weapon. He gripped it tightly with his right hand, keeping the blade above the water. Slicer looked at his opponent’s direction. He seemed to be about ten feet away. My pants in the water will definitely alert him to my presence. Hm... He had just made a decent plan, and it would now all go down the drain if he didn’t think of something. Suddenly, he remembered something. He lowered his entire body below water, keeping his nose and eyes above water, along with his Magnifier. He had watched alligators do this, but he doubted that Sydofh would fall for this, yet this was his chance to turn to tide in battle. Slowly, Slicer moved clockwise for a bit, before moving forward again. He tried to keep under Sydofh’s vision as best he could, but Slicer wasn’t sure if he succeeded or Sydofh was just playing with him. Whatever it was, Slicer didn’t care. He had gotten himself out of worse situations before.
As he got about three feet from his opponent, Slicer moved his Magnifier underwater, trying to make as small a sound as possible. He moved the weapon on it’s side, making it cut through the water without making sound. It slowly went towards Sydofh’s side, before Slicer moved up the speed, making his weapon go straight at Sydofh.

((OOC:
1. From the post in which you made the crescent attack; the way you wrote it, I thought you meant an overhead strike, but from reading your last post, I see that you likely meant the opposite. So, kind of a mistake on both of our parts.
2. Rai Rom is a tornado, which I mixed up with Vak Kruz, which is a ball. I would have corrected it, but you posted before I could, and you seemed not to take notice of it. Also, the way it played out, it wouldn’t have made a difference if it had of been a ball or a twister. However, next time I do use the attack, I’ll be referring to it as a tornado.
3. I’ve been writing in past tense for this duel thus far, as an experiment of sorts. But it’s become a bit of a hassle, so I’m going back to present tense.
Ok, now to the duel. ))
--------------------
Sydofh could clearly see Slicer as he looked up. The Heavy Blade’s face was emotionless, as he wasn’t about to show his opponent any sign of weakness. He did not move either, which Sydofh found odd. He returned the cold stare, and also did not move. He wanted to play defensive for now, until he could unleash some sort of attack.
Why won’t he attack me...? He could have finished me off...maybe he’s toying with me...or maybe he is a fool. I guess I shall see soon enough. But he should have killed me while he had the chance, because now we’re even.
Moments passed, and finally, Slicer moves. He jams his blade into the Earth, and removes the Leather Gloves on his hands. Tossing them behind, he grabs the hilt of his sword, and tightens his grasp around it. Seeing him do so, the Twin Blade removes his leather jacket, and allows it to slide off of his shoulders and into the water. He also removes his sleeveless shirt, as it was torn and tattered from previous attacks.
He then grabs the pendant on his necklace and looks at it; the silver sword with a vine wrapped around its blade. It was his lucky charm, and the meaning of it provided him inner strength. The pendant’s meaning was simple, yet he had never told anyone of it, and would likely never do so. His stare moves to his left hand, and on its middle finger lay the Ring of Galzont. It was of shimmering silver, and the crystal in it contained a fog that would change colors almost as often as the sky did. The cloud within the black jewel was the color of the water he stood in, a deep shade of azure.
Sydofh looks back up to see Slicer remaining at a standstill. He pulls his Shadow Blades back out, which he had put away before he removed his jacket. Then, the Heavy Blade pulls his Magnifier back as if he were about to attack, but then lowers himself under the water. Sydofh gives a bedazzled look, as he did not understand what his adversary was trying to do. He stood still for a moment, observing the area in front of him.
Hmm...is he trying to attack me underwater?
His eyes sharpen as he observes the water below him, looking for any sign of the Heavy Blade. Half a minute passes, yet he sees nothing. He was wondering if his opponent had perhaps drowned himself for reasons unbeknownst to him. Of course, the theory was farfetched, and his intuition was that Slicer was attempting something of a radical nature.
Then, as he disallowed his outrageous theory, he sees the edge of the sword emerge from the water, at least ten feet to his right. A nose then protruded, followed by a pair of eyes, from the water‘s surface. The blade moved closer, almost like a predator moving in for the kill. Sydofh smirks at his foe’s flawed strategy, but moves his head slightly to the left, to give the impression that he was confused.
There you are. An interesting plan, but a bad idea.
Looking from the corner of his eyes, he could see the blade twist horizontally as Slicer made his approach. It also picked up speed, and Sydofh nods his head, signaling to himself to move. He leaps into the air as the blade thrusts forward, where he had just stood. With his legs, he pushed upwards and back, so he was not only moving up, but away from where Slicer was. As soon as his body leaves the water, he crosses his blades and announces his next attack, but only loud enough for his own self to hear. "Rai Rom."
An electrical current forms before him, and merges to create a mass. Then, the mass stretches, becoming longer and wider. Finally, a sudden wind spins the current around, and the charge forms an electrical tornado. Sydofh again aims for Slicer, and launches the twister downward. It rumbles downward, and the sound of thunder echoes off of the water’s surface. He didn’t know if the attack would be enough to finish his opponent off, but the attack would hopefully weaken the Heavy Blade enough to force him to use Repth, which would deplete most of his remaining Skill Points. That would shift the balance of the duel considerably towards Sydofh, and would give him a clear advantage, although that could change within an instant.

Slicer snickered slightly. This duel had been quite entertaining to say the least. Each player exchanged blows with one another, both using caution. None wanted to die to quickly. That would look bad on a duel record. Frankly, Slicer didn’t like this way of fighting. He was finally about to reveal his true nature. His suicidal nature. His stealth attack was actually a pathetic attempt. He himself knew it and he didn’t expect his attack to hit. His attack was more of an attempt to make Sydofh play into his hand. The attack had worked quite well. Sydofh jumped out of the way again and sent off another Rai Rom. Slicer had been anticipating this...
Slicer quickly changed the path of his Magnifier, as his sword missed, and sent Sydofh flying into the air. The Magnifier’s path was altered enough, so it struck into the ground. Using the force of his swing, Slicer swung himself onto the sword, almost like a sideways cartwheel. This was helped by the stones underneath the water, and the Magnifier being submerged underneath. Slicer quickly saw where his opponent was, and jumped, pushing off the back of the sword. The force was enough to sent him hurtling towards his opponent.
From the ground, this would have seemed almost suicidal. From the air, it seemed even more so. Slicer had leapt into the air, carrying no weapon, and heading straight for a Twin Blade of the same level, who had seen him, and had his weapons intact. Slicer would have smiled if someone had just asked him who the heck he had just done what he did. If someone did, Slicer would have told them to keep watching.
As Slicer moved towards his opponent, he unequipped his Magnifier, and replaced it with his Slayer. The Slayer quickly materialized on Slicer’s back, which he quickly grabbed and pulled out from his back sheath.
The Slayer was a magnificent sword. It was made almost exactly like the Magnifier. It was a large blade, like most Heavy Blade weapons. It was a metallic silver color, along with two striped at the center that enter twined along, creating three circles around the blade. The weapon’s two sides were curved inward. This was a good way for it to slice open monsters and enemies. It’s tip was also curved, making it more of a cutting sword than a poking sword. It’s stats were vastly weaker, when compared to the Magnifier, but it was still a good weapon, mainly because of it’s special effect. The Death effect. Slicer considered the Death effect to be one of the best effects in the game, and for good reason. The power of death, when activated, caused most of the opponent’s health to vanish. This left the opponent only one step away from defeat and death. It truly was a remarkable skill.
As Slicer approached his target, he whispered under his breath, ”Glad to see me?” He wondered if Sydofh heard this and he wondered what Sydofh's answer would have been, but he might never hear the it.
Slicer’s jump was starting to stop and slow, he began to move down slightly. His weapon was almost out of range, when he finally swung his sword from down to up, in a crescent shaped attack. From the force of this attack, Slicer dropped down. The drop seemed to take an eternity to complete. It was slow and agonizing, fall that seemed to take an eternity, but that was just fine with Slicer. He didn’t want to know what would happen when he fell, yet he knew that it was only a matter of time. As he approached the surface of the water, he turned around. He moved his Slayer infront of him, hoping that it would block the oncoming rush of water.
The blue wall came closer and closer and closer, until...
Sploosh!
Slicer hit the water. It was a painful landing to say the least, but it was nowhere near as powerful as when Sydofh had landed. The air was knocked out of Slicer, but he slowly opened his eyes, looking at where he was. He quickly turned around and kicked up against the rocks beneath the water. As he broke the surface of the water his entire body was completely covered in the crystal clear water. He breathed deeply, sucking in the refreshing air of The World. He wondered for a second how they made air, but quickly dropped the thought for a more important one. He checked his hand to see that it was still holding onto the Slayer, but he had no idea where he had landed, where Sydofh was, or where his Magnifier was. He took another deep breath, before he gripped his sword tightly. He knew that it was possible for his opponent to sneak up at any moment or cast another one of his spells. Just then, Slicer noticed that his Ap Vakz spell had finally vanished.
Slicer began to get worried...

((OOC: You forced a hit on me, which is a no-no. Also, I did cast Rai Rom, and deducted the SP from my total, yet you leap up and knock me into the air, totally ignoring my attack and the effect that it would have on the surrounding waters. But in a duel, I must work with what I‘m given, and I‘ll do just that.))
--------------------
After launching the Rai Rom attack, Sydofh looks down to see if Slicer was still submerged in the waters below. To his surprise however, the Heavy Blade seemingly floats under him; and in an underhand strike, he swings upwards. The attack catches the Twin Blade totally off guard, as he had not anticipated him to counter in such a short time. The blade, which was different from the one he had seen earlier, strikes his lower back, cutting down along his bottom. Pain enters his mind, and he clenches his fists to hold it inside. The force of the blow pushes him further upward, and he sails above his foe, whom was moving back down to the ground.
Passing through the air, Sydofh fights the pain, and tries to come up with some sort of counterattack. This duel was becoming like a Home Run Derby, with both combatants connecting with powerful blows and attacks. Yet, there was a sense of calmness in the Twin Blade’s thoughts, as he knew he could defeat Slicer, and he felt that his opportunity to finish the duel would come soon enough. He wondered what effect his Rai Rom attack did have, and he wondered if Slicer would land in the electrified waters. It didn’t matter, as the Heavy Blade’s Skill Points were beginning to dwindle, and after one or two more spells, it would be completely diminished. His mind shifts back to his next move, and he runs over the spells he had access to. Using Rai Rom wouldn’t be smart, as he would be landing in the water before the attack’s effect could dissipate. He thought of Vak Kruz again, but the Ap Vakz ability had likely not yet disappeared. The main reason however, was the fact the attack could be easily countered by just ducking into the water; and the spell would be rendered futile. He pondered Dark Dance but knew that getting in position for the attack could be difficult, and he also knew of its downside; the fact that doing so would nearly deplete his own Skill Points. Allowing that to happen wasn’t a great idea to him, as he wanted Repth in case he needed it. It is then that he looks down at the water below, and at the landing he would soon be making.
This might be painful.
Although this was not the best moment to be sarcastic, Sydofh did have a plan. This time, unlike the last, he was prepared for. He slightly rotates his body so he would land feet first. Then, he bends his knees, to allow the force of the landing to be decreased; but makes certain that he did not overextend them, as that would result in broken legs. Adrenaline rushes through his veins, surging into all of his body as he comes ever so close to the water’s edge. He takes in one final breath before bracing himself for the impact. His body collides with the water, and his legs slightly buckle, but he keeps them steady as he then hits the Earth below. He allows his legs to bend, and before he nearly falls back, he launches himself back into the air like a spring. As he moves above the water, he could feel that his legs were somewhat numb from the force of his landing. Heading back down, he falls gently into the water, and he stays in the kneeled position in which he lands.
Looking around, he catches sight of Slicer, who looked to be unaware of his landing. The Twin Blade knew that he had made a great deal of noise, which meant the Heavy Blade could be just acting, much like he himself had done earlier. He could not sneak up on his opponent even though his back was turned to him, as the water would make too much sound. He also did not want to fight a game of strength, as he would lose that battle. He would have to rely on his agility and magic to win this duel, and his speed could not be currently used in any productive way. Running over his spells again, the only two that could be used from afar were Rai Rom and Vak Kruz. He rises up to a standing position before he makes his next move.
Screw it; I’m using Vak Kruz. Maybe his Ap Vakz ability has worn off. Of course, he could just dodge it, but I don’t have a whole lot of options, and just maybe he won’t be able to move fast enough.
"Vak Kruz." speaks Sydofh, in a soft tone that would not be heard by the Heavy Blade. A single flame erupts before him, and begins to rotate around itself, until it forms into a sphere. The newly formed fireball then splits into two, which reminded him of cell division; and much like mitosis, the fireballs continued to divide until the total number rose to eight. Motioning forward, Sydofh initiates the attack, and the spheres of flame tear through the air. As they come closer to Slicer, the fireballs converge, forming a great fiery mass. Watching, the Twin Blade could only hope that his attack would be successful.

(OOC: Correction, 1. I landed outside the range of the attack. And if you mean before it, I leapt out of the water before it could hit me, using my Magnifier as a little platform thingy. 2. I didn't force a hit. I said I swung the sword up at you. I never said it connected. I said the force of the attack knocked me back into the water.)
Slicer watched the horizon where the sky and water met. He probably shouldn't have done this, because the duel was still going on, but he could probably hear his opponent coming at him. Slicer watched the horizon for absolutely no reason. It seemed to draw his attention for no reason. Maybe it was just the plain beauty of the sight. He wondered if the field itself was angry at the two fighting opponents and the destruction they were causing. Slicer sighed a bit, before he noticed a couple fireballs forming around him. "Vak Kruz..." Slicer whispered to himself, watching the fireballs.
Slicer himself had never fought off a Vak Kruz before. He had seen the attack done before by his friend, Duo, yet he had never thought off of an action to fight off the attack. "Damn... lucky guess." Slicer whispered again, wondering how the heck Sydofh had guessed the Ap Vakz had vanished. "Oh yeah... maybe it's the fact that the fiery aura around me has disappeared <_<;;" Slicer whispered again, before the fireballs came at him.
Each fireball formed a trail behind them. They were coming straight for him, yet each was aimed at a different place. Damn, can't block them all. Slicer thought, as he watched each fireball to coming straight for him.
Slicer moved his hand over towards the first fireball, holding back the fireball, but making it burn his hand. Another fireball came. Slicer jumped over the attack, but the third one hit hit him in the face, knocking his backwards slightly. The one he was holding back with his hand blasted him in the stomach. Another two knocked him in the shoulders, knocking him into the water. His Slayer, that was in his left hand, dropped into the water. The last three all came at him underwater. Once they hit the water, the sizzled, turning into black rocks. Each hit caused Slicer even more damage.
He slowly pulled himself out of the water, breathing deeply. Between one of his breaths, he said out a single word. "Repth." A white light erupted from beneath Slicer. It slowly moved out of the water, going around Slicer. It covered Slicer's burn wounds, mending them, and causing the smell of charred skin to disappear, also. The light disappeared, still leaving a wound or two, but it wasn't anything much. Slicer sighed, before looking at Sydofh.
"Good attack." Slicer shouted. He had his reason. Mostly because he was always laid back, even after taking a beating like he just did. He sighed again, before he shouted out, "I'm going for another attack. Be ready." With that, Slicer took up the Slayer that had been dropped during the Vak Kruz bombardment. Finding it, Slicer looked up again, and went for Sydofh.
Slicer knew that a direct frontal strike might not work, but there was still the possibility that it would work. Hopefully surprise is on my side... Slicer thought, as he ran through the water, heading for Sydofh. His plan was quite simple. It was to slash at Sydofh. A direct frontal assault while still running forward, so if Sydofh planned to do another Rai Rom, Slicer could just keep running and avoid the immediate area of the attack. He would then turn around, and go for where Sydofh would land. It was a simple play, and he hoped it would work.
Slicer approached Sydofh. Dear lord help me. Slicer swung his sword towards Sydofh. He kept his momentum, so while his sword was going down, he was still charging for Sydofh. Dear lord help me...

((OOC: Hmm...*tilts head*...I suppose the way it was worded is the cause for this little hiccup. I owe an apology if my last ooc sounded a bit rude to you; as it wasn’t meant to. We’ve both gotten this far, so let’s push ahead and get to the end.))
Releasing the balls of fire from his direct area, Sydofh watches as they race towards his target. Slicer sees them approach, and begins to move into action. He grabs hold of the first, but begins to regret it, as the velocity and heat of the fireball causes his hand to begin to burn. He hops over another, but in doing so, takes another directly in his jaw. His head whips back yet he maintains his balance. The fireball, which he has held thus far, is knocked loose from his hand. It surges forward before colliding with the Heavy Blade’s abdomen. Then, as he recuperates from the hit, another two strike his shoulders, and he tumbles backwards into the water. The blade in his hand also becomes dislodged, and slides a few feet from his reach.
Watching the spectacle Sydofh could only grin, as his opponent’s antics reminded him of dodge ball, which he hadn’t played in a long while. Slicer however, did not find it as humorous: as he tries to pull himself from under the water. As he does, the remaining three fireballs plunge into the aqua; and the flames that once burned intensely now flicker away, leaving only a small cloud of smoke behind them. The molten rocks however, continue to pursue their target and strike Slicer as he begins to emerge from the water’s depths.
Talk about a lucky move. His Ap Vakz ability must have worn off...good.
Slicer rises up, but his body was weak from the last attack. His legs wobble as he places his weight on them and his arms ache as he lifts them. His situation was critical, and he would not survive long unless he healed himself. "Repth." White lights cascade his wounded and burned body, and his health and energy become revitalized. Although he was not in the same condition as when he first arrived to this field, he was now strong enough to carry on. It is then that he just couldn't help but shout something at his opponent. "Good attack."
The voice echoes over the water's edge where it reaches Sydofh, who stands patiently. He hears the words and smiles, knowing that deep down Slicer did not truly mean them. Or perhaps he did, in a manner that he could not understand.
"I'm going for another attack. Be ready." bellows Slicer. He then reaches down and grabs his Slayer, which he had dropped during the Vak Kruz attack. He charges forward, and as he approaches his swings, with all of his momentum, towards the Twin Blade.
Sydofh prepared himself for the attack, and he shifts his Shadow Blades as the sword rushes downward. The blades collide and sparks fly, yet he keeps his balance. For a moment they hold still, pushing back and forth against their weapons. He knew he could not hold his stance for much longer as his arms were beginning to cramp. He twists his self and his blades from their upper position. As he does, he feels his foe's blade cut into the top of his right wrist. He pulls away and steps back from the Heavy Blade.
Now it's my turn.
"Vak Kruz!" The fireballs once again form and launch towards Slicer, who would hopefully be defenseless from his last attack. Also, since he stood at a closer proximity than the last time, the spell would reach its target at a much more rapid pace.

(OOC: Don’t worry. I’m used to getting shouted at ^_^)
With each step, the distance between Sydofh and Slicer grew closer. The rushing of Slicer churned the water beneath. Each step forward caused the water behind him to go a muddened brown. The disturbance of a single life form within a vast sea. That’s what the field really seemed like. A selected part of shallow sea, formed together to create a single field, where the two warriors did battle. It seemed odd why anyone would go through so much trouble, configuring data and making the area free of other life forms, just to see two people fight to the death. It seemed as if ancient practices died hard. From the Roman Colosseum to the present day boxing. It seemed at humans liked to see others suffer, while taking away their own sufferings. It was a savage nature, yet humans still lived with with it till this day. The sight of two people beating down on one another must have turned someone on... And so, another random thought brought a deep thought to another breaking close.
As soon as Slicer reached his target, he slammed his blade down upon Sydofh. Sydofh quickly moved his blade above his head, in an attempt to block Slicer. The power of this Twin Blade seemed to have no end, and it stunned Slicer to watch as his gigantic Slayer was held away by two tiny blades. I don’t get it! Why can’t I get in one solid hit!? Slicer thought to himself, as he pushed his blade harder against Sydofh’s weapons. The effects of the increase in pressure could be seen. Sydofh was having problems holding back the power of the Heavy Blade.
Suddenly, Sydofh twists himself, causing his weapon to pull away from him. The Slayer took advantage, it seemed, and made a cut upon the top right wrist of it’s foe. The cut wasn’t even close to life damaging. Infact, it didn’t seem to affect anything. The cut was so weak that it could have not existed for all Slicer cared. The sudden shift in Sydofh’s weight had caused Slicer to lose his balance extensively.
”Vak Kruz!” Slicer hears the words, and a slight chill descends upon his spine. Those two simple words could seal my fate... Slicer thought, as he watched the fireballs begin to form. Each fireball came at him with amazing speed. He knew there was no way to dodge them from such a close range. He moved his hand over his head, and prayed that the attack wouldn’t completely kill him.
As each fireball plummeted into Slicer, he could feel the health drain from within him. He didn’t have any time to dodge the attacks, being in the water, so that was really all he could do. The fireballs were scattered around Slicer, like a Vak Kruz should be. Two hit him in the back, one on each side, and three on his stomach. The last one didn’t even have to hit. Slicer could feel his body slowly go away. He knew what the meaning of the sudden greyingness was. He had lost all his health. The duel was over. After the constant struggling, it was finally over. He moved his hands from his face, and looked at Sydofh. ”Good duel.” Slicer said. He had no regrets. He had fought his hardest, and the better man had come ontop. There was nothing more to do...
