Novus Officium Ordus


The Novus Officium Ordus (New Service Order) is a Bank created by myself and Asura. Here lies the policies that will be instituted in this Bank, and there is no fine-print.

Policy
A. Any who wish to deposit money into a savings account may do so, and they will recieve a 2% return rate that will be compounded once every two weeks.
-----1. Any who deposit money will then be held accountable for trading tariffs.
----------a. These tariffs are 10gp per trade made. All who have savings accounts must pay these tariffs.
----------b. Trading tariffs apply to all trades in which you use money in your bank account, including but not limited to the Trading Center, the Magickery, the Weapons Shop, the Pawn Shop and the Armoury.

B. Any who wish to borrow money may do so, and they will pay 7% interest, compounded weekly.

C. Any who wish to purchase a bond may do so. Bonds have a 4% return rate compounded every two weeks.
------1. Bonds are placed in a different category because they have a set time. However, if you wish, you can ask for your bond early, but you will only receive the heretofore accumulated amount. For example, if you gave 50gp, you would receive 54 GP in four weeks. However, if you asked for your money in three weeks, you would only receive 52 GP, because the two week compounding period had not been reached.

Post here whether you wish to deposit money, etc. These rules are subject to change.

as far as bonds go, how often is it compounded? also, if the bank were to go...how should i say...under,will there be a full reimbursement policy?

Silk's Special Weapon Delivery Service

Is there a weapon that you've been burning to get, but it's not available in the Weapon's Shop or Pawn Shop? Equally dismaying is the fact that none of your friends have this weapon either. Well, here's you solution: come to Silk's Special Weapon Delivery Service, where you'll get your weapon, armor, or other item personally delivered by one of our cheerful employees.

Here's how it works: One of our delivery people will go into a field and retrieve your item, and you'll pay us a small fee. Wonderful, isn't it?

Note: We will not be able to retrieve Rare Items, and also keep in mind that the item has to be of a lower level than the deliverer.

Insurance Policy
There is a full reimbursement policy if by any chance the Novus Officium Ordus fails.

In Response to People's Doubts
Currently, Asura is the main backer to this operations, and he has generously donated a large undisclosed sum of money, and I too will help pay for interest rates. The Weapon Delivery Service will also provide some money, and it is run with no cost. As soon as we get some people to make loans, then the bank will make us some profits.

Where is the money to run these operations coming from? Where is the money used to pay the interest rates drawn from? Also, your specifications on bonds beyond interest rates are murky.

Edit: They offered the service. I want to know so I can use it, since it is after all currently running.

I will create an account based on the specifications that Silk has given me of the service. I require however, that policy be changed as little as possible and that changes should be PMed to me like normal banks that require customer consent for continued business after a change in the terms of the agreement. I know there is no fine print and that you have been open to me, though, so I will trust this.

Response to Lugia: No. The compounding day stays permanent, and it corresponds with the day you make an account.

Do you do the compounding, or are we responsible? Either way, I have no idea what to do with my money... 1340 is a pretty high number to me... (in other words, I=still a newbie. Even after a whole month, or two... :lol:)
