Title: Grunty Advice
Description: I need the low-down on Grunty raising.

As a short side note, I hear that Grunties are called Pugigruso or something like that in Japan. I like how that sounds better... Oh well. I guess it's been like this since Protoman/Blues and the slightly more known Aeris/Aerith. Stupid localization people.
Okay... so I have a Bloody Egg. With a little research, I found out you feed them to the Grunties to make their stats grow. So what is the best way to make a cool looking and useful Gruntie?
Thanks ahead of time!

Bloody Egg? Let me go check my The World gaming magazine on that topic.
(machine left running while checking)
Ah... so That's what the bouncing, talking, egg things are for... I've just left them alone in the past. Eh... They still alive and talking when eaten? @_@ (I've heard of and seen snakes and insects being eaten alive by humans... but something that big?)
Back to the question... according to the suggestions that the magazine gives, it really depends on what you are wanting  Me? If I were to get a grunty, I'd get one to help me keep track of this place... more on the intelectual side than speedy or strong... something that could find out from players where the rare items are and what places are more interesting... but again, that's just me. ... So... what kind of results are you looking for?
(interesting... most players raid the BBS to discover information before playing... I just dived in, and have rarely visited these boards... yet I am ready and able to dispense answers with sources around me. lol. Guess that's why I haven't been collecting the ones I saw B) )
So... tell me what type of creature you are hoping for, and I'll see what best matches that.

Ahhhh.... neato!! I should really invest in a strategy guide... Maybe I'll get one with my summer job.
Well, I really want a steady mount. It doesn't have to be that fast or anything. Maybe a bit powerful. In the end, I want to fight monsters mounted. I recently tried that while riding on a Snip Snap... And I think I could own the field if I had a trusty steed.
Also, I want a good companion. Solo quests get boring when you have no one good to talk to.

I went and got myself a silver Grunty... it seemed to fit the description of Grunty I wanted according to GameFaqs.com . Now I'm off to find some things for it to eat...
Any hints or secrets about Grunties? How advanced is their AI? Were they always in The World from day one? Any funny stories about them? Anger about the localization issues? I think we should use this forum to keep blabbing on about Grunties, the lovable cow pigs!!!
Who's idea was it to make a cow pig anyways? @.@
