Kain - February 29, 2004 04:01 AM (GMT)
The player attacked the goblin with a horizontal slash. The size of his lance threw him off balance and he slipped in the mud. Kain stuck out his hand and caught the low-level player’s tunic. The Long Arm’s feet kicked as Kain lifted him in the air. “Don’t try that in the mud. You’re lack of balance plus the muddy floor is a bad combination,” Kain said in a cold voice. “You should really practice it would help a lot. Maybe challenge one of your friends to a duel.” Kain placed the level-one player down and nodded. The rain bounced off his robes giving an even more mysterious look to Kain. It was almost like there was a mist around him. Now that he couldn’t log out of The WORLD Kain decided to help out some newer players. Almost like a training service.
“On that note,” Kain began as he patted the Long Arm on the back. “I’m leaving. There’s somewhere I need to be, someone’s waiting for me. Remember, tell your friends about me,” Kain told the player as he spun around. The Heavy Blade then called his pet, Marvin, over. The lion-like creature glanced up at Kain with his hazelnut eyes and Kain began. “Can you make sure he reaches the Gott,” Kain said as he indicated the Long Arm. “Don’t try and help out too much.” Kain nodded to Marvin and smiled weakly as the three golden rings came up to the ground and brought the Heavy Blade to the root town Mac Anu.
The first ring fell to the ground. With it, the outline of Kain’s body was emitted. The second ring fell and the outline was filled with the color black. Next, the final ring fell to the ground and Kain’s full skin stood there. His black robes swayed in the light wind that blew through out the city. The two golden dragons on both sides of his zipper glittered with the bright sun of the city. It seemed extra bright today, a complete opposite from the Kain that was in the field with the new player. The Heavy Blade looked around the Delta Server and noticed that it was covered with people. There seemed to be more people than usual. He glanced around, looking for someone, the person he was supposed to duel. The player didn’t seem to be around anywhere. After walking around the town for a good fifteen minutes Kain came to a conclusion. “Maybe I should check out the field.”
“What were those keywords?” Kain asked out loud as he flipped through the list of words once could choose from. Some random players here and there laughed and snorted. The Heavy Blade looked at them and realized that he was the subject of their amusement. I know the first part is Hidden. What is the second word? How could I forget? This is really important. Let me look at the list, hopefully I’ll find it, Kain told himself as he continued to look through the list of words. Nothing sounded familiar to him. I could always try some random words, I don’t have much to loose. Eventually I’ll find the right one. All I know is that it’s a snowy field. After a lengthy search, Kain realized what the keywords were. [i]How could I forget, Kain thought as he smacked his head. “Hidden Passed Over White Devil!”
The trademark three golden rings that signified a players’ entrance or exit chimed once more as Kain entered the field. “Oh no,” Kain said aloud as he looked around the field. It was covered in the white virtual snow. The Heavy Blade shivered as he folded his arms across his chest trying to keep warm. Ever since he became stuck in The WORLD he felt everything. The field had hills here and there. The snow was falling at a heavy pace. The amount on the ground would amount to a lot more very quickly. Kain moved his feet around in the white snow. It had to be four inches deep already. He hoped that it wouldn’t be a detriment to the battle. He was already at a disadvantage, due to the fact he never fought in a duel before. “Now, I need to find my opponent. I think that if I make this duel quick I’ll have the advantage. Otherwise, who knows what will happen?” Kain said aloud as he paced back and forth. This was helping him get used to the snowy terrain. If he were to slip while fighting Hacomy it would lead to a lot of problems, maybe even a defeat. Kain stopped thinking about loosing and held his blade in two hands and stuck it out in front of him, ready for a fight.
“Come on Hac, I’m ready.”

Hacorie - March 3, 2004 01:39 PM (GMT)
It was a cold a nd lifeless day at school for Nathan and nothing interesting had or would happen that day. No homework had been passed out so far, nor had a pop quiz or test been handed out by the teachers. Being a smart and very dedicated student, Nathan was appalled, but also glad since he had another duel on The World. Not much was known about the Heavy Blade Hac would be facing, but one or two things Hac did know was that the Heavy Blader was seven levels above Hac and that he would be a tough opponent. As the last bell rang for the students of the high school to exit their six periods, Nathan silently walked down the hallway making a few turns to get to his locker.
Once their Nathan saw that his locker was surrounded by a number of people who were talking, mostly about their school day and gossip. As Nathan walked up, he started to speak to them. “Hey Guys, how was your school day.” He said. “Eh . . . just fine. Very boring. I have no homework so good.” Said the three with an exiting look on their faces. As Nathan stepped closer to his locker, he saw that his friends wanted something. “What do you all want this time?” Nathan asked as he made a small smirk toward them. “Well we heard through the grape vine that you got a few cuts that went really deep and penetrated your skin. “Yea that is right, I did, I was in the forest training with my lance when something went horribly wrong and it turned the wrong way. The three prongs poked into my body drawing much blood. Luckily though it did not poke into one of my intestines or other things in my body.” Nathan said as he made a small laugh.
Though they were his friends, Nathan could not tell them that a monster in an online game stabbed him and left these wounds for they would either think he was crazy or tremendously laugh at him. Also, since Nathan played with weapons like lances and swords for fun he knew his friends would believe him if he said that. Nathan then quickly put all his books in his locker and turned to get out of the school and go home for the day. As one of the side school doors opened, Nathan emerged and started to walk toward all the cars parked in the parking lot. Passing by junky and brand-new cars he smiled. I wish I had a car to drive to school, but alas I do not have my license or even my permit. Continuing on Nathan stepped on a grassy plain and walked across it. As he walked, he looked to his left to see the practice football field empty. Nathan was now on a road of sorts and as he looked up he saw his house. Opening his Gym bag he took out a key and inserted it into the door and turned the key. Walking inside Nathan walked to his computer and turned it on. As the screen came up Nathan clicked The World icon on his desktop and put on his VR helmet and VR gloves.
As the heavy Blade opened his eyes, He saw that he was in the Aqua Capital of Mac Anu. This being one of the best places to walk around, Hac headed toward the bridge. Coming up to the first wooden plank of the bridge Hac stopped and looked in the sky and gazed there for a minute. He watched the clouds roll by one by one until they reached as far as the eye could see. Then a few seconds later the cloud would appear once again in the same form, but in a different place in the sky than what it was the last. A slight breeze brushed through the Hac’s hair as he took in a deep breath. He would soon have to fight another Heavy Blade, but hopefully Hac would be able to defeat him with his knowledge and experience with duels. Not too long ago, Hac had lost, but barely to a really high level person, Zavier Dragonus. It was a tough battle, but Hac hung in there and dodged then attacked. He did this strategy many times, but it never seemed to work so this time would be different.
Hac then turned around and headed back for the Chaos Gate because he was almost late for his duel, and he did not want to put this duel on hold. He quickly jogged up it and stared into the emmence blue part of the gate which was surrounded by rings that spun around and around in one another.”Hidden Passed Over White Devil,” Hac shouted as stared into the gate. He then closed his eyes as three giant rings began to comb up and down his body as if they were scanning him. The next thing Hac knew was that the rings appeared again and left him stranded in a field. As he looked up the other Heavy Blade entered the field. So this must be Kain, he doesn’t look that tough, but neither did Lyra. I must stand my guard. Hac thought up in his head as he drew his Magnifier and pointed it at Kain the Heavy Blade. A stronger wind this time blew across his face as the blade cut through it as it was unsheathed making a whistling sound. Hac’s opponent then spoke. “ Come on Hac, I am ready.” Kain said.
With snow up to his ankles and a frostbitten wind coming at him, Hac smiled at the Heavy Blade. “No, I want you to come at me first.” Hac said as he waited in a defensive stance.

Kain - March 6, 2004 03:40 AM (GMT)
A cold gust of wind blew over the snow covered field. This wind only picked up more snow. The three infamous golden rings shined in the field Hidden Passed Over White Devil. The beautiful golden light reflected off the sun in the most majestic of ways. After the rings disappeared a player was standing there, a Heavy Blade. This was obviously Kain’s opponent, Hacomy. It was the first encounter between the two. The warrior, wearing black, didn’t turn around yet to see his opponent. He only heard the rings. Kain turned his head ever so slightly so he could see his opponent. His Stun Sword fell from his shoulders and made a light sound as it entered the snow. A thin smile formed on his pale face as he watched Hac like a hawk. So it begins.
“No, I want you to come at me first.” Hac said as he struck a defensive pose. Kain let go of his Stun Sword with his left hand and began to scratch his head. The Heavy Blade knew the best offense. Being this was Kain’s first duel he didn’t know if this real life strategy would work in a game. He turned around, so his body was facing Hacomy. The chilling wind blew once more. The strong wind picked up the player’s black robes and moved them gently. Kain moved his neck from side to side, making it as limber as possible. He let out a soft yawn and lifted his feet above the snow. He simply nodded and raised his sword into the air.
“If you insist,” Kain said as he started walking. The Heavy Blade swung his Stun Sword over his right shoulder and looked at the ground. I hope I don’t seem too nervous. I wonder what happens if I don’t make it out of this battle alive. I can’t log out of the game, so what happens if I get a game over? My only option is to not let that happen, Kain concluded as he broke into a sprint at Hac. The player lifted up his right elbow to a ninety degree angle and pushed the hilt of the sword under it. The blade was held horizontal to the ground, tip facing Hac. “I’m not showing any mercy Hac, be ready!” Kain shouted.
It was hard to run through the deep, soft, and mushy snow. He had to lift his feet high and then bring them down deep so he didn’t slip. Each step was echoed by a loud squishy sound. Kain’s boots were covered with snow as he squished closer to Hac. The field was by no means flat. It was very hilly to be exact. The player was muttering things about the horrible conditions of the field. He was moving closer and closer to his Heavy Blade opponent. Here I go, no turning back now.
Kain stopped running and leapt into the air. He was a few inches off of the ground. He came down with his right foot forward and began to skid down a hill towards Hacomy. The skidding action of Kain’s leap sent a lot of snow towards Hac. If Kain planned everything right, the snow would have a chance of impairing Hac’s vision giving the Vanguard of Twilight enough time to perform a successful attack. The cloud of white snow still remained in front of Hac and Kain prepared his attack. He moved to the toes of his left foot and spun around 360 degrees. The Stun Sword was high over his right shoulder, ready to be unleashed. Kain then snapped it down diagonally at his opponent.

Hacorie - March 6, 2004 07:40 PM (GMT)
Halfway elevated up to his articulatio genus in snowflakes, Hac remained firm in the coldness staying in one place and staring fierce fully at the separate Heavy Blade which he was proceeding to confront on a head to head competition. A cool, icy, and refreshing zephyrs flew and brushed sentimentally across the face of Hac. Standing becalmed, the chill was getting to him, and before he knew it Hac was beginning to shiver. Each breath he took became shorter and shorter until a cloud could be seen floating out of Hac’s mouth. Shaking his head back and forth quite fast Hac made the thought of being cold disappear from his mind. Hac had to focus on more important matters, how to defeat his opponent. The two players watched each other like a bird on its prey. No move went unseen from either of the players and none would. A slight smirk then came upon Hac’s mouth as he started to hear a slight sound from his opponent. It was an often sound that Hac usually heard from himself.
The sound was that if a blade unsheathed and as he watched in confusion the other Heavy Blade dressed in black took out a sword of a low level. “The Stun Sword,” Hac whispered to himself as the blade was pointed at him. After Hac spoke for Kain to come at him he saw the Stun Sword drop to the ground and t he Heavy Blade begins to scratch his head in confusion about Hac’s action. Is he really that much of an idiot to drop his sword in a duel? Another sound of a sheathed letting go of a sword came into play as the giant Magnifier was released. A flapping could be heard from behind Hac, and he knew quickly that he had to make an action, but could he do it before the Heavy Blade began to attack him? Only one way to find out. Hac told himself as he implanted his Magnifier in the soft and white snow as he untied his cape and let go of it as the wind took it and made it drift into the distance.
Once the cape was, gone Hac took up his sword once again and stepped his right foot back behind him. With his left now in front, he pointed it toward Kain the Heavy Blade. The right was pointed to the side and Hac slightly bent his knees for balance. He then brought up his sword and crossed it up sideways across his chest and made it point toward the sky. With all of his remaining power, Hac had left after putting a little bit on each part of his stance, he put it to strengthen his defense. The best defense was one that your opponent does not know. Hac smiled as he followed this philosophy in almost every duel he was in. Opponents barely if never expected this strategy and with Kain making the first move he would fall into a trap like a spider trapping a fly in its web. With a smirk Hac looked u at the heavy Blade dressed in black and listened to him state a few brief words.
“If you Insist,” said the Heavy Blade dressed in all back with a black robe fluttering behind his back. Hac then watched as the Heavy Blade began to walk and then a second later begin to sprit right toward him. Planting his feet and tightening his grips, Hac quickly waited for Kain to get closer to him. After a few steps the Heavy Blade in front of Hac started to talk again as if he was not afraid of the duel.“I’m not showing any mercy Hac, be ready!” Kain shouted at Hac as his sprint became faster. “I would never expect mercy from you nor anyone else.” Hac said as he stared at the dark Heavy Blade. It was the highest respect for Hac that a higher level would show his true and full power instead of holding it back like Zavier Dragonus in Hac’s last duel. With a smile Hac saw the Heavy Blade start to get really close. A small hill was in front of Hac and as soon as the heavy Blade began to run down it he started to slide. A white wall was then spread out all around and coming quickly toward Hac.
“Ap Do!” Hac heard himself yell as if it were an instinct to any danger which may have come toward him. As adrenaline in his body sped up Hac looked around and knew he had to quickly move out of the way before he was hit by the avalanche of snow coming down from the small hill. Sliding his feet to the left Hac started to sprint out. He watched behind him as the Stun Sword came right out of the snow and slashed a small opening. That was a little too close. Hac thought as he turned in a complete circle and smirked. “Seems you made me use my trick that I had up my sleeve a little early, but oh well, lets just see you try and hit me again.” Hac said as he watched the snow fall to the ground leaving only Kain.
Gazing on intently Hac waited for the next attack to come at him. Noticing he was not shivering any more Hac touched his skin and felt a slight warmth. As the snow continued to fall the clouds moved close together. The snow was building up, and it would be hard to move for both players. Still there was a chilling wind beating like a drum on his face and skin, but it made no difference, the duel had begun.

Kain - March 10, 2004 09:31 PM (GMT)
“Ap Do!” Kain’s opponent yelled the spell out and quickly dodged the Stun Sword. The blade crashed into the ground, sending snow in all directions. Kain came down with such force that he couldn’t stop. His blade entered the ground under the snow and became stuck there. He then flipped over the handle and skidded down the hill head first, leaving his blade on the hill. The freezing snow hit his face and entered his hood, falling down his robes. Kain rolled head over heels and ended up on his back looking up into the white sky. That was so cold, Kain thought as he hopped to his feet. He couldn’t be without a weapon for very long.
Kain ran up the hill, slipping and stumbling the whole time. He had to use his hands to hold him up more than once. The snow seemed to come down faster than ever and the wind blew harder too. The black robes of Kain smacked against his face, causing more pain due to the cold weather. The Heavy Blade crawled to the top of the hill, his hands red from the cold. He reached over to his Stun Sword and pulled it from the frozen tundra. There was absolutely no feeling in his hand, so the blade seemed very light. Kain swung it about in front of him, listening to the ‘whooshing’ sound it created. The Heavy Blade smiled as he turned to his Ap Do enhanced opponent. If Kain did his calculations correctly the level thirteen Heavy Blade was only slightly faster than himself.
He put the Stun Sword on his right shoulder, its usual resting position, and advanced towards Hacomy. The Heavy Blade was moving towards his opponent at a slow space. His big, heavy, black boots making a sloshing sound as they landed in the snow. Kain thought up a master plan, he needed to be as slow as possible so the Ap Do would wear off, giving him the speed advantage once again. Any advantages in a battle such as this would be beneficial for Kain. He couldn’t spend much time thinking of his “master plan” or walking for that matter. Hac could perform a sneak attack with his enhanced speed and take Kain out of the duel. The Heavy Blade removed his stun Sword and held it vertically in front of him with both hands. His right hand was near the top of the hilt and his left hand on the bottom. He stood on the balls of his feet, the ideal athletic position. “Again,” Kain said lightly as he charged at the opposing Heavy Blade.
Kain shifted the blade from out in front of him to over his right shoulder. He needed to be careful where he ran to, because he was still on top of the hill. Kain kept both eyes fixed on Hacomy. With his improved speed he could easily run behind Kain and hit him from the back. That was the last thing that the player wanted. The Stun Sword’s tip was now pointing towards the ground and Kain’s right elbow was pointing straight out in front of him. Although the position looked awkward it was all part of his “master plan.” He only needed to get a little closer for the attack to launch. With each step the time frame for mistakes grew less and less. Kain knew he needed to attack, and now.
With a slight leap in the air, Kain opened his mouth wide and yelled: “Calamity!” He landed on the ground, ready to perform the sword slashes necessary for the spell Calamity. Too bad Kain’s foot hit the edge of the hill and it gave way underneath him. He slammed into the ground, right shoulder first. He then rolled down until he hit flat ground again, his Stun Sword laying a foot or so away. The Heavy Blade quickly crawled over to the sword and picked it up, switching into a crouching position. Kain glanced back over to Hac, making sure his opponent didn’t try anything cunning during his tiny mishap. This was a slight setback to his “master plan.” “I guess it’s your turn,” Kain said as he stood up.

Hacorie - March 14, 2004 06:02 PM (GMT)
Hacorie watched intently as Kain flipped over and slid down the hill face first in the snow. One mistake that he did make though, Kain left his blade halfway up the hill. Hac could easily have run up took the sword and thrown it or hid it far away, but instead he did not. Hac's face which was underneath his dark blue hood was smiling and almost laughing at the higher level Heavy Blade. As the Heavy Blade stopped at the bottom of the hill Hac was about to call to him, but decided not to, he was going to wait for Kain to get back up the hill. If the Heavy Blade ran toward Hac, he would probably use much energy up which would give the barely tired Hac the advantage in the duel.
As the other Heavy Blade ran up the hill, Hac began to an offensive position so that he could strike Kain once in sight. Hac the looked in the Sky and watched the clouds roll by and the wind hit his face. Each piece of snow that hit him quickly melted as the wind forced it against his warm body. Hac then peered back down once again at the heavy Blade as a colder wind began to hit his face. Kain had just reached his blade and he was swinging it to get the feel for his Stun Sword once again. Kain the shifted his eyes upward and faced Hac. Hac smiled as he waited for Kain to do his next attack, but first he had to wait more for the Heavy Blade dressed in black to make it up the hill of snow.
It seemed that he Heavy Blade, Kain, was slowing down while he was coming up the snowy hill. Hac quickly noticed the plan for the Heavy Blade, but it would not work for Hac was ready to attack. Standing in the snow and waiting for Kain to get closer so Hac could strike, he started to think. If Kain wanted Hac to rush him, then that meant that Hac would run into a trap, but if Hac stayed and moved quickly then it could also be a trap. The black clothed Heavy Blade was smart, but Hac had something else up his sleeve to help him. Unlike Ap do Hac would keep his "weapon sheathed." If Kain wanted a duel then Hac would give the guy a duel of his life. Looking up in the sky Hac started to hear crunching of snow near him. Kain had finally reached the summit of the hill, and Hac was getting in a defensive position. Quickly Hac stepped his left leg to the far left and then stepped his right leg back. This stance was a great defensive position because the wielder of the blade was balanced. Hac quickly sent one hand down on the blade and one hand stayed on the hilt.
The wind blew silently, but Hac still felt the chilling wind across his face. He shook his head and made his hood fall to his neck. The wind then blew his blond hair to one side, In a matter of seconds Hac's hair was almost completely brown from the wet snow. While the snow continued to come down upon the players, Hac opened his mouth and let a few snowflakes trickle down his throat. Almost as instantly as they entered the mouth of the heavy blade, they melted into water. The Heavy Blade smiled as he lowered his head and tensed his muscles in his legs and arms so that he could block the higher level player's attack.
Kain was now almost at Hac, but before Hac could do anything else he heard the Heavy Blade in front of him yell an attacking skill. "Calamity!" Hac heard Kain say. Hac smiled as he knew this attack well since his Vak Drive was a higher applied version of this skill. As the first strike came diagonally upward at Hac, he moved his blade down and blocked the attack. Quickly the heavy Blade struck a second time and cut Hac at the shoulder. Then Kain jumped up in the air and started to flip while bringing his blade around hurtfully. Raising his blade upward to block, Hac was sent flying back in the snow and to the ground. The snow around his body had quickly turned red. Hac looked down at his body and saw that it had another small slash on his chest.
Hac was very lucky that the blade did not cut his head or throat for he would have quickly lost. Standing back up and balancing himself on his sword Hac smiled and started to talk to the Heavy Blade. "You may have got me this time, but this time I attack." Hac said to Kain staring at him coldly. Hac then began to run at Kain with all his might and Ap Do combined. Smiling Hac ran around Kain quickly to get behind him. He then shouted aloud a spell to attack Kain. "Vak Drive!" Hac shouted as his blade lit up with a thousand flames of destruction.
"Let us see how you like this." He said as he smirked. "It is over!"

Kain - March 16, 2004 08:35 PM (GMT)
Kain’s Calamity ended when Hac went flying backwards. Kain put the tip of his Stun Sword on the snow; the scarlet liquid was running down the blade slowly. The Heavy Blade shivered a little as he kept his eyes glued on his opponent. He wasn’t going to allow any sneak attacks. Kain pushed himself onto the balls of his feet, so he could avoid any attacks that Hac might try and perform. Kain, being the gentleman that he is, decided to wait for his opponent to get to his feet. He really wanted to make his first duel a fair one, and hitting someone while they’re on the ground isn’t fair at all. He bent his knees slightly, trying to get in the best athletic position. “Come on Hac, I don’t have all day!” Kain shouted to his opponent, hoping to get him more upset. The Heavy Blade dug the tip of his sword into a ground. He figured Hac wouldn’t try any attacks soon.
The other Heavy Blade stood up and regained balance. Kain curved his lips into a thin smile. Finally. "You may have got me this time, but this time I attack," Hac said. Kain continued to smile and he began to nod his head, telling Hac to attack him. He stood there and watched as the Ap-Doed Heavy Blade ran at him. Kain bent his knees and slide his hand off of the hilt of his sword and onto the blade. He had to wait for the perfect moment. An idea surged into his head, something he had wanted to try for a long time, and now seemed like the perfect time to do it. It was that one moment when You own it, you better never let it go, you only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow, This opportunity comes once in a lifetime. The lyrics of a well known song entered his head. This was it.
“Vak,” Hac yelled out the beginning of the spell. Kain heard this and immediately knew he needed to avoid it if he wanted to continue the battle. He put his palm flat on the blade and gave it a slight push. It fell to the ground and sent a little snow here and there. He looked back at Hac and then jumped on to the blade, ready to use it as a snowboard. “Drive!” Kain’s opponent finished the spell. Kain was already on the move, but the flaming sword managed to cross across his upper back. He let out a little moan and slid down the hill on his snowboard, while Hac finished out his spell. Kain then leaned back and fell off the sword making a soft landing in the snow, he was now on flat ground. He pushed himself and grabbed his Stun Sword. The Heavy Blade watched to see if Hac’s momentum would keep him going. There wasn’t any time for this; he needed to do another attack.
Kain pointed the tip of his sword at Hac; he squinted one eye and aimed the point at his head. He then pointed the blade up to the sky; he did this before every spell. “Juk,” Kain began, as a green aura started from his feet and flowed throughout his body reaching the tip of the sword. It glowed with a bright green color, ready to release the spell. “Rom.” Kain finished the spell, muttering the last word quietly. The Stun Sword had a green aura glowing around it for a second or two and then unleashed the spell. Kain was hoping that Hac’s momentum from the Ap Do and Vak Drive would lead him straight into the tornado of leaves.
Kain smiled contently as he reached into the snow with his hand. He picked up a fistful of the white powdery substance and began to mold it into a ball. Just incase the spell didn’t work, Kain thought as he cocked his right hand back and then sent it shooting forward. He hurled the snow ball at the head of Hac, hoping it would hit.

Hacorie - March 27, 2004 03:43 AM (GMT)
A small wind glided across Hac’s face as he began to swing at his opponent with his lit up sword. After his first swing, Hac noticed that his opponent was slashed on the back, but how on the back? It seemed that Kain was trying to escape the attack, but he dramatically messed up which resulted in the Heavy Blade hitting him. A small gash was in the back and clothing of Kain, but he had already started down the hill on his sword which acted like a snow board to get away. The Heavy Blade quickly stopped his attack by surpassing all the energy he had to make the blade s energy stop. Standing to his feet Hac looked down the hill to see that Kain was on flat ground, and he seemed to be saying something. A green wind began to emit from the opponent Heavy Blades body, and with it Hac knew what was coming. He quickly turned to run, and with the extra speed from Ap Do, Hac should be able to escape unscathed.
Running fast Hac felt his back begin to feel cut up from the blades of leaves and he knew that the attack had hit half his body because his whole body was not scathed at all. As the attack finished Hac kept running toward the forest, which was in right in front of him. Getting close he looked behind him to see no one. This was good for Hac now had an opportunity to hide in a good spot and wait for Kain to be lured into his trap. “Kain, I am not that stupid! I will not follow you into down the hill where you can attack me if I fall. Instead, why don’t you come and get me.” Hac said as he hopped up in once of the strong branches of a tree and stood up and waited for the Heavy Blade to pass. Hac stayed perfectly still to make sure no snow fell so he would not be noticed.

(OOC: Blleh! but I didnt want two points taken off)
Kain - April 1, 2004 01:21 AM (GMT)
The spinning leaves of the Juk Rom managed to cut Hacomy across the back. It was only a small amount of damage, so it wasn’t totally a waste. The wind of the attack managed to lift some snow into the air. This snow was finishing falling to the ground. There was a beautiful white mist around the duel field now. It was a tad hard to see, only leading to problems for both duelers. “Kain, I am not that stupid! I will not follow you into down the hill where you can attack me if I fall. Instead, why don’t you come and get me,” Hac said. After that little, little, speech he ran away from the fight.
“Hac, you silly goose, running away from your problems is never good,” Kain said as he yawned and stretched, trying to stay limber. He held his Stun Sword in his right hand and laid it on his right shoulder. “Time to go get that dirt off my shoulder,” Kain said as he took his left hand and brushed some imaginary dirt off his shoulder. The Heavy Blade chuckled lightly as he reminisced back to his younger days. There was a popular song out called Dirt Off Your Shoulder. Kain then looked out into the distance, trying to see where his opponent ran off to. If I were Hac, where would I go? Kain asked himself as he began to climb up the snow-covered hill.
The hill seemed to be harder to climb than ever. Kain slipped every so often, his knees crashing into the cool earth underneath the snow. He used his Stun Sword as a walking stick as he continued to climb. The wind blew harder and faster, making his hood smack against his face. The Heavy Blade looked down, trying to keep his face away from the horrid wind. The snow continued to fall; Kain’s robes were covered with the white substance. He let out a sigh and saw his breath in front of him. It was cold, too cold to be dueling. I hope I can end this quick. After a few more moments of struggling and slipping, Kain climbed to the top of the hill, ready to continue the battle.
Kain glanced around the top of the hill and noticed that Hac was nowhere in sight. Immediately, he realized this was not good. He smacked his head lightly and continued walking on the hill. In front of him he saw a bunch of trees that were delicately covered with white snow. Kain took a moment to stare at this majestic sight, and then continued on with his search. I hope Hac didn’t try and go in there. It’ll be hard to find him. Kain took one last glance at the trees, for a moment he thought he saw something move, and then continued on.
“Here I am again,” Kain said aloud as he stood in front of the trees after a good time spent searching for his opponent. “He either left the field or went into there.” There meant the forest that was staring at. He gulped lightly and walked towards the forest. The player was leaving footsteps behind him as he trudged into the forest.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are!”

“Hac, you silly goose, running away from your problems is never good,” Hac heard as his opponent started coming up the hill after him. It was only a matter of time until the Heavy Blade could thoroughly process a way to hit Kain without him having much time to react. Quickly, the Heavy Blade looked, but stayed perfectly still as the black dressed Heavy Blade came into view from the hill. “Time to go get that dirt off my shoulder,” Kain then said. Hac could not think of what he meant so he pondered about it for a minute or two, but gave up when nothing came to his mind to what the phrase meant. Gazing on at the Heavy Blade, Hac slowed his breathing down a small bit so that it could not be heard once Kain entered the forest.
Hac’s blue cape shielded him from being seen very often because it blended in with the snow and forestry landscape. It was also helped because the snow had landed on the Heavy Blades cloak and covered in white a little. This was the first time Hac had used this tactic against an opponent. It had been used in his short duel versus Lyra. She had jumped into the trees and it looked as if it could be a vantage point. Since the Heavy Blade was all the way back against the trunk of the tree, Kain could not chop the tree branch and the Heavy Blade fall to the ground if he saw Hac. It was very mysterious because Kain just stood outside of the trees and gazing up near Hac’s direction. It was as if he saw him, but that thought was quickly diminished as Kain spoke once again.
“Here I am again,” kain said as he stopped and looked around into the trees as if he did not know what to do. Kain was just stalling for time hoping that Hac would screw up so he could catch him off guard. Hac though thought his plan was full proof except for one thing that he had just noticed that kain had not. Hopefully this one thing would not come back to bite him once he tried to attack, but it seemed that Kain would not notice it. “He either left the field or went in there,” Kain then said which startled Hac a little because he did not know that Kain talked to himself out loud. Hac then made a small smirk as the timid Heavy Blade began to make his way into the forest. He was falling into Hac’s trap slowly, but surely. It would have been another story if the trees were not sturdy though.
One step then two steps Kain trudged into the forest, but then stopped once again and spoke aloud. “Come out, come out, wherever you are,” Kain said as he began walking into the forest once more. Hac then watched as Kain passed the tree he was in slowly. Now was the Heavy Blades time to strike his foe. Being quiet about it, Hac jumped down on the balls of his feet to make it like a shock absorber. This halted the sound a little bit, but Kain surely heard Hac. With his speed from Ap Do, Hac rushed toward the Heavy Blade. The spell would ensure him that he would get to Kain before he could turn around, besides he was already really close. Just incase though, Hac started his run and then jumped into the air. If kain turned around, he would see nothing at all for Hac was already in the air.
In the air Hac looked down at his opponent and took his hand to his back and withdrew his Magnifier. As he unsheathed it he brought it over his head and struck down toward the Head of Kain. Goodbye. Hac said inside of his head as his blade got closer to the Heavy Blade dressed in black clothing.

Kain - April 9, 2004 11:08 PM (GMT)
Kain heard a thud; he knew what it was. It was none other than Hac jumping down from a tree planning to surprise Kain. The Heavy Blade stopped in his tracks. He knew that his opponent still had the spell: Ap Do on. The snow continued to fall to the ground as Kain stood there, thinking about his options. He turned his head slightly and saw Hac coming towards him. Kain turned his head back, so he was staring straight ahead and took a deep breath. There was only one thing he could do.
So if all of my calculations are correct, Kain thought as he put his “calculations” into order. He bent his knees slightly, and spread his feet far apart. The squishing of snow grew louder, and the wind seemed to blow harder. Kain pivoted his left foot and tried to make a dive out of the way. Too bad, the environment ruined Kain’s escape route. The gusting wind kicked up his robes and his left foot got caught in the bottom of it. He could hear the unsheathing of a sword as he scrambled trying to release his foot from the robes. His right foot then gave out from under him and he slammed face first into the ground. Above his head, Kain could see the shadow of a sword, missing him by a fraction of a second. He quickly rolled out of the way, hoping the “Ap Do-ed” Hac’s momentum would still cause him to move forward.
Kain lifted his head above the snow and glanced at the crimson colored precipitation. When he fell face-first into the snow, it appeared that he broke his nose or something to that extent. The crimson liquid continued to roll down his face, starting from the nose. He shook his head, and blood fell off of his face and landed in the powdery snow. Kain pushed himself up and gripped his Stun Sword. He knew that he barely avoided the attack, and if he didn’t slip then the duel would’ve been over. The Heavy Blade wiped some blood off of his face and then flung some of the droplets into the snow. He had a feeling that it’d be best to end the duel as soon as possible. Kain took a deep breath and then looked up at Kain.
The snow continued to fall heavily. The branches on all of the trees were covered with the white powder. Kain took a few steps closer towards Hacomy. The amount of snow on the ground made it hard to walk. Kain somehow needed to use this harsh environment to his advantage, but right now he didn’t have time to think up ways. Kain’s black boots began to make a rapid squishing noise as he picked up the pace. The Heavy Blade slipped as he started running. He stuck his hand into the ground so he wouldn’t fall. Kain glanced up, Hac was pretty far ahead of him. He knew that he couldn’t let him get too far ahead so he wouldn’t have a chance to attack. “Gan Zot!” Kain yelled as he aimed the earth raising spell a little ahead of Kain. He hoped that the raised earth would block off Hac’s path.
Kain put his head into the ground and sprinted straight for Hac. He was growing a lot closer. “Calamity!” Kain yelled as he raised his blade in the air, ready to perform what he believed was the duel-ending blow.

“Gan Zot!” Hac heard as he kept on running from his last attack that must have missed. Behind him he heard stone pillars begin to rise from the ground and head toward his body. “What to do, I have no time to move!” Hac said aloud as he stopped and froze in place. “Must take damage,” he whispered to himself as he felt quickening surges of energy begin to erupt through his body as splatters of blood hit the ground and made the white snow turn a dark red as if a snow cone. It was horribly gruesome, but somehow the Heavy Blade had survived and had enough energy for one last attack, but could he use it before defeated was the question.
A sound then hit his ears and he turned his head as in a fast sprint Kain was gaining up on him. There was once again no time to moves so Hac had to improvise. The forest gave many advantages and so did the snow, but they also gave disadvantages like coldness and small moving space sometimes. As Kain drew near, Hac saw his black came flow in the wind and looked at his face begin to open to say a few words. “Another spell?” Hac asked himself as he held his body and waited to hear what it was. “Calamity!” Kain yelled, and Hac knew this move well enough now to evade it.
Quickly Hac lifted his Magnifier and rolled out of the way. He then planted his foot while Kain was doing the attack skill and thought of a way to attack that would hopefully win the duel. “Never use the same attack twice,” Hac whispered in a low voice as he used the remainder of his energy to get to a knee and thrust his blade forward. “Work!” Hew yelled as the blade got closer to the body of the fellow Heavy Blade. Hac just hoped that he had done the attack right and with enough power to shatter a few bones in Kain’s body. If enough were punctured then one may hit a vital organ and the Heavy Blade would die quickly, but if it missed Hac would have to think up another plan to use. If he did not, then he would die.
Hac knew that the attacking stab he was doing would work right off the bat. This is because while Kain was finishing the attack spell’s moves, he should have no momentum or very little. This would make it so that he could not escape so easily to Hac’s attack. Also Hac used the snow to his advantage for his strike was aimed at the mid section of Kain which meant if he tried to move the snow would probably slow him down even more. The Heavy Blade only hoped that he was correct on all of his assumptions because if this one screwed up then it could probably mean death by his next blow. It all depended on Kain and his reaction.

Kain - April 18, 2004 03:21 AM (GMT)
Kain could see that some raised rocks from the Gan Zot punctured Hac. He then broke into a few sword slashes, this was the spell known as Calamity. As Kain began the final front flip part of the attack, he noticed Hac had already rolled out of the way. This was a clear indication that he lost a bunch of SP for no reason. While in the air Kain began to reach into his robes. He had a hunch that Hacomy would try and attack him as soon as his feet hit the ground. Kain landed on both feet, in a very balanced way. He was almost like a cat. He finished pulling his hand out of his robes and revealed a card. This card would be the key to the duel.
Kain held the card out in front of him, and begin to peel off a patch. This was the item known as a Speed Charm. Behind him, he could hear the squishing of feet on the snow. The sound meant that Hac was coming closer. The sound was coming from Kain’s side, a perfect line for his ribs. Now that he was playing with the Speed Charm he couldn’t do anything to evade the attack; unless he got the item ready fast enough. With a quick slap on his left arm, Kain applied the patch. Gold runes formed under his feet and clocks appeared out of thin air. This signified that the spell “Ap Do” was beginning to take effect. Too bad it was a bit late, Hac was too close now.
Kain, with his new enhanced speed, tried to dive out of the way of the attack. It didn’t work. Hac’s Magnifier slammed hard against Kain’s body, making direct contact with his lower rib. The tip of the blade continued to go down Kain’s side. He finally managed to hit the ground from his dive. His impact with the ground caused the blade to come out of his side. Kain crawled away, leaving a trail of crimson liquid behind him. He sat back against a tree and took deep breaths. The Heavy Blade put his hand on his side to try and stop the blood flow. It didn’t work. His breaths became heavier. It was getting a lot harder to breathe. I can’t die here.
His head seemed to pound as he lost more and more blood. His heart began to beat heavier, Kain could imagine his death. He closed his eyes and tried to calm down. He couldn’t; it was impossible. His own death was mere minutes away. Then, as if hit by an adrenaline rush, his eyes shot open and he had an idea. Kain removed his hand and began to mutter a spell. He was using the spell Repth. It was the only thing he could think of. The only problem was that it left him slightly vulnerable to an attack as his health was restored. The wound on his side was now changed to a slight scratch. Little droplets of blood were still coming out of the wound. The Repth didn’t heal his HP completely, because he was level twenty.
Kain rose to his feet, his hands covering his face. His head still hurt. There was nothing he could do about the pain, except hope that the duel was almost over. Honestly, Kain didn’t know how much longer he could last. Another attack like the last one would finish him off for good. Kain removed his hands and tried to focus on his opponent.

It is all about to be over Kain. You just stand there a little longer. Hac thought as he raised his blade and started to run toward Kain. Hac noticed he felt slower, his Ap Do had finally run out. IT was mysterious of how it ran out just when he needed it most, but it did. Looking to the side of Kain’s arm, Hac saw that he had a yellow charm on it. Yellow was a speed charm, so just as Hac lost his Ap Do speed, Kain gained his, but there was one thing the Hac could still do. It looked that Kain was staggering a bit which meant that the stab from Hac had taken its tole and released much blood from the Heavy Blade. “Repth.” Kain called as he healed some of his wounds, but still continued to bleed. Hac smirked as he continued on running toward his Heavy Blade opponent.
It was going to be the perfect opportunity to strike. It was only a duel also, it was not like if Kain died then he actually died in the outside world. Hac had died many times and nothing happened when you died. Nothing at all. It was weird how in battle all emotions change to what they normally are. I am usually a good guy, but in duels my personality changes for winning. I have a thirst to kill sometimes. Is that what I am suppose to feel? As he drew near his opponent Hac began to think about things like that, but he had to win. He just had to beat the other Heavy Blade. Hac almost confused himself by thinking, but then he grasped reality again, well virtual reality. He looked at the in pain Kain and kept on rushing at his normal top speed.
Hac tried to focus on his target and he would do anything to get to him faster. He could use the Ap do spell, but that would take up too many skill points because Hac still wanted to use Vak Drive one more time. It was confusing on what to do, but the Heavy Blade had to decide and fast. He was three steps away from Kain. Hac then stopped in his tracks and looked forward at Kain. With a smirk Hac slashed his blade once and then sheathed it. Everything in the forest went silent. Nothing spoke, but Hac was about to break the silence and speak for himself about his actions. He was proud of what he did.
We are in a forest of trees, why did all the sound stop. There should be little animals frolicking about and playing with each other, but it is as if the whole forest has stopped just for me. Well I guess I better not disappoint it then. Hac thought as he looked around. The wind had stopped and snow was lightly falling from the sky as if the gods also wanted to hear what was going on down below. Hac then looked around himself by turning in a complete circle and then faced Kain once again. He then opened his mouth and began to speak.
“Well it seems we know each other’s moves now so there is really no point in continuing the duel for both of us could most likely see an attack once and find a way to avoid it. It may be a far-fetched idea, but if we continue then we can only be wearing down on power and strength. We have both taken blows in the match and are both bleeding. I say that this duel is over. I was honored to face you Kain.” Hac said as he put out his hand to shake his opponents. At least I did not resort to killing him.

Kain - April 26, 2004 11:16 PM (GMT)
He could still feel the pain surging through his body. How could this happen? The Repth spell was supposed to heal him of all wounds. Kain shook his head and spat out some blood. He was still bleeding; another attack from Hacomy would finish off the duel. His chest pumped up and down as he readied his Stun Sword for battle. I need some new equipment, Kain thought as he glanced at his low-level armor. Maybe if I had stronger equipment I would’ve lasted a tad longer. Too bad I won’t be able to find out. Hac was running at him, it seemed like he was eager to attack.
Kain slid his left foot back and pushed his right foot forward. He bent his knees slightly and gained balance on the balls of his feet. With his enhanced speed, he would most likely be able to dodge Hac’s oncoming attack and use one of his one. He would prefer to come back with a lunging attack. Kain always thought that he used more force when he lunged than when he used simple slashes. The snow squishing under his opponent’s feet grew louder. The end of the duel was growing near. For some reason, Kain felt that this was going to be the deciding factor of the duel.
Hac then stopped running; he was in striking distance of Kain. The black-clad Heavy Blade could feel his heart thumping. It was going faster than ever before. Maybe, it was the thought of death staring him in the face. Kain could only begin to imagine what would happen if he was to lose this duel and his life in The WORLD. What would happen to Rintaro? Would he wake up from his coma? Would he die too? Kain figured that he didn’t want to risk that; he needed to win the duel. It just so happened that now was the ideal time.
Kain’s opponent slashed out, but Kain was ready to move. He bent his knees and bent his body so that it formed an arc. The blade passed through the area created by the newly formed arc. Then, Hac sheathed his blade. Kain dropped his Stun Sword. He still held on to the handle, but the tip entered the snow. It was quite the turn of events. The Heavy Blade thought that his opponent would’ve at least tried to finish him off. Kain pushed the tip deeper into the ground as he began to think. Did Hac know that Kain couldn’t log out of this game? Kain shook the thought off. There was no way he could know. Some spoken words made Kain snap back to reality. I was honored to face you Kain.” Hac said as he extended his hand.
“Good call,” Kain said softly. His voice always seemed to be calm. “I applaud your decision. I’m sure I’ll see you around The WORLD,” Kain replied, a little upset that he couldn’t think up as long of a speech. He then stuck his hand out, gripped Hac’s, and shook it likely. “It was a fun duel.” Kain spun around and then began to walk away. He then turned his head around slightly, smiled and spoke. “You may have saved more than Kain.” The three golden rings then shot up from the snowy earth and Kain faded away, leaving Hac alone in the field.
