Technique listings. Following is a complete list of all the attack techniques that I have found in the game thus far, and some that I haven’t. You’ll notice that wavemasters have no attack techniques and quite frankly I’m glad because 5 classes is enough work as it is. The classes are listed from lightest class to heaviest class, and for those of you who are completely oblivious, that means it goes… Twinblades, Longarms, Blademasters, Heavyblades, Heavyaxes. In addition, for the sake of organization you’ll notice that skills will also be listed not only in terms of level but also of attack type. Most classes have only 3 versions of attack skills (Heavyblade has 4 which made them REALLY hard to pick out which skills were what.) and the skills will be listed in categories. And for those of you concerned with aesthetics, the skills all look the same as their base LV. 1 skills only the elemental types have pretty colors surrounding the weapon blade. Get it? Got it? Good. On to technique listings.
*All attack descriptions are my own and are therefore subject to flaws; feel free to correct me but if you claim you came up with them yourself I’ll sic Asura on you!!!
BURN!!!*
Twinblade Skills-
LV. 1 Base Skills-
Saber Dance- 10 SP (Single target) The Saber Dance is a series of four alternating strikes with the users blades in a dance-like motion. The final combo hit is delivered after brief spin using the momentum from the third strike.
Tiger Claws- 10 SP (Effects area) Tiger Claws is a unique attack wherein the user coils his or her body for a moment and launches into a spin while holding his blades out. A total of six slightly weak blows are planted upon all enemies who are effected.
Staccatto- 15 SP (Single target) Unlike the saber dance, which relies on four powerful strikes, The Staccatto attack focuses on hitting the enemy many times in a flurry of saber strikes and kicks. The attack will follow a pattern of a brief jump spin, a few slashes, a large jump spin and a final two kicks at the end.
LV. 2 Skills-
Saber Dance class- 30 SP
Thunder Dance (Thunder)
Flame Dance (Fire)
Dark Dance (Darkness)
Orchid Dance (Wood)
Tiger Claws class- 30 SP
Thunder Coil (Thunder)
Blazing Wheel (Fire)
Swirling Dark (Darkness)
Splinter Slash (Wood)
Staccatto class- 45 SP
Lightning Rage (Thunder)
Twin Dragons (Fire)
Twin Darkness (Darkness)
Gale of Swords (Wood)
Longarm Skills-
LV. 1 Base Skills-
Double Sweep- 10 SP (Effects area) The Double Sweep is an attack that uses the wide range of the spear to its maximum potential. The user sweeps his or her spear in a wide slash in front of them, and then proceeds to spin around with their spear held at length until they make a complete circle.
Repulse Cage- 10 SP (Effects area) The Repulse Cage attack is a very graceful attack using precise hand movements to twirl the player’s spear around his or her body thus attacking all enemy within a certain radius around the user. While similar to the double sweep in terms of its effect area, its range is limited but it hits more times.
Triple Doom- 10 SP (Single target) The Triple Doom attack is the longarm’s best shot for taking down single enemies. A strong upwards thrust of the spear makes the first part of the attack followed shortly after by an over head strike and a final quick jab as the user returns to the normal fighting stance.
LV. 2 Skills-
Double Sweep class- 30 SP
Rue Wipe (Water)
Rai Wipe (Thunder)
Vak Wipe (Fire)
Juk Wipe (Wood)
Repulse Cage class- 30 SP
Rue Repulse (Water)
Rai Repulse (Thunder)
Vak Repulse (Fire)
Juk Repulse (Wood)
Triple Doom class- 30 SP
Rue Doom (Water)
Rai Doom (Thunder)
Vak Doom (Fire)
Juk Doom (Wood)
Blademaster Skills-
LV. 1 base skills-
Cross Slash- 10 SP (Single target) The Cross Slash attack is probably the most widely used attack for a blademaster. It consists of two powerful, diagonal strikes across the enemies chest, resulting in an ‘X’ shaped pattern. It requires little time to execute.
Revolver- 10 SP (Effects area) Aptly named, Revolver is just as it sounds. It is a spinning attack wherein the user holds his or her blade out and does a brief jump spin. The attack effects all enemies around the character and was a favorite of Orca and Balmung during the SinOne event.
Crack Beat- 10 SP (Single target) The Crack Beat is a single powerful strike against one enemy. Its form is relatively simple; the user simply leaps high into the air and slams their sword down upon his or her opponent. Uncomplicated and effective.
LV. 2 skills-
Cross Slash class- 30 SP
Gan Slash (Earth)
Rue Slash (Earth)
Vak Slash (Fire)
Ani Slash (Darkness)
Revolver class- 30 SP
Gan Revolver (Earth)
Rue Revolver (Earth)
Vak Revolver (Fire)
Ani Revolver (Darkness)
Crack Beat- 30 SP
Gan Crack (Earth)
Rue Crack (Earth)
Vak Crack (Fire)
Ani Crack (Darkness)
Heavyblade Skills-
LV.1 Base Skills-
Calamity- 10 SP (Single target) Calamity is the basic sword skill of a heavyblade. A great amount of strength and agility is necessary to perform this attack which consists of a thrust attack over the waist, and another below the waist and a final forward flip to bring the tremendous blade down upon the hapless foe.
Hayabusa- 10 SP (Effects area) While the Hayabusa attack focuses primarily on one target, it has the ability to effect all of the enemies surrounding the heavyblade. It starts with one wide, horizontal sword swipe, then another in the opposite direction only this swing spins the user around so that the blade makes a 360˚ circle around the player. Finally, with the momentum from the spin, the heavyblade brings the blade over his or her head and makes one final overhead chop to the primary target.
Death Bringer- 10 SP (Single target) One of the more theatric of the heavyblade’s attacks is the Death Bringer attack. The user slashes downward until the tip of the blade is planted shallowly in the ground the player then performs a handstand so that they and their giant blade form almost a vertical column to the ground. The user then falls forward bringing the blade over their head and down on the enemy. A powerful attack indeed.
Shogasho- 15 SP (Single target) While being the rarest of the level one heavblade skills (it is only found on the Spiderblade) it forms the basis for all of the most powerful skills a heavyblade can wield. For reasons which can only be described as ‘lazy’ the attack movements of Shogasho are programmed to be the same as calamity.
LV. 2 skills-
Calamity class- 30 SP
Gan Drive (Earth)
Rai Drive (Thunder)
Vak Drive (Fire)
Juk Drive (Wood)
Hayabusa class- 30 SP
Danku (Earth)
Raika (Thunder)
Karin (Fire)
Hirameki (Wood)
Death Bringer class- 30 SP
Gan Smash (Earth)
Rai Smash (Thunder)
Vak Smash (Fire)
Juk Smash (Wood)
Shogasho class- 40 SP
Gohryu (Earth)
Rairaku (Thunder)
Kannon (Fire)
Kitsutsuki (Wood)
Heavyaxe Skills-
LV. 1 Base Skills-
Axle Pain- 10 SP (Effects area) Although Axle Pain is technically and area attack it is sorely focused on a single target. The attack consists of the heavyaxe lifting his or her giant axe and making a mighty swing down and to the left, instead of ending the attack there, however, the player then uses the momentum of the axe to bring the huge weapon up behind them and slam down with a punishing overhead attack.
Triple Wield- 10 SP (Effects area) Triple Wield can be described in two words: “Centrifugal Force” For those of you who skipped physics, the attack consists of the heavy axe getting a short grip on the blade (limiting range slightly) and spinning around in a circle in the direction the axe head is pointing. The attack continues for three rotations. It is believed that the attack ends there to save players in “The World” from getting too dizzy from consecutive uses of this area effecting attack.
Brandish- 10 SP (Effects area) For the heavyaxe that prefers a less dizzying attack, Brandish is a good alternative to triple wield. This attack consists of a fully extended axe swing that continues in one full circle. What this attack lacks in repetitiveness in comparison to triple wield, it makes up for in range and a slight boost in power.
LV. 2 Skills-
Axle Pain class- 30 SP
Gan Break (Earth)
Rue Break (Water)
Rai Break (Thunder)
Ani Break (Darkness)
Triple Wield class- 30 SP
Gan Tornado (Earth)
Rue Tornado (Water)
Rai Tornado (Thunder)
Ani Tornado (Darkness)
Brandish class- 30 SP
Gan Basher (Earth)
Rue Basher (Water)
Rai Basher (Thunder)
Ani Basher (Darkness)
That does it for me folks. While it’s true that there are third level skills and four level spells in “The world” these are quite rare to come by and levels may not get that high just yet.

Technique listings. Following is a complete list of all the attack techniques in the game.
*All attack descriptions are my own and are therefore subject to flaws; feel free to correct me but if you claim you came up with them yourself I’ll burn you to death
Staccatto- 15 SP (Single target) Unlike the saber dance, which relies on four powerful strikes, The Staccatto attack focuses on hitting the enemy many many times in a flurry of saber strikes and kicks. The attack will follow a pattern of a brief jump spin, a few slashes, a large jump spin and a final two kicks at the end.

Just a thought, you might consider adding the various drain attacks to the chart (Life Drain, Skill Drain, etc.). I know they're not set in stone, but it would help.

I feel like a true blue n00b now...Every time I used Juk Rom in a quest or a duel, I always had it like a converging spell, not the tornado spell that it is. Thanks for the guide, because now, after my current quest, I'll be able to properly describe the spell.

I cleaned up the old comments because the new guide covers all that. From now on, comments should be made only to improve the guide. Anything else will be deleted.

I may have imagined it, but isn't there Ani Rom?
VirageEmbryo - July 23, 2005 02:44 AM (GMT)
No Ani Rom. It works this way:
Fire Spells(Vak): Kruz, Rom, Don
Water Spells(Rue): Rom, Kruz, Zot
Wood Spells(Juk): Rom, Kruz Zot
Earth Spells(Gan): Rom, Don, Zot
Thunder Spells(Rai): Kruz, Rom, Don
Darkness Spells(Ani): Kruz, Don, Zot

I think I see a problem or two ^^
~Staccato doesn't have two kicks at the end, instead the player comes from a crousching position, and bring his blades up together (while jumping)) the slowly sepeates them.
The first attack in this is in the period of time when the blades are together, and thesecond is when the blades seperate.
~I'm also pretty sure that the lvl 3 summon spell is 110 SP cost (not too sure about it tho)

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to add the Divergence 'Bonus' Class Skills to the list of class techniques (Archer, Whipmaster and Fist Fighter) though I don't know if any of them follow the 'three-to-each-class' formula. It would make it easier to have them included, at least as a link to their opening posts elsewhere.
Edit: Also seem to be missing the 'description' of the healing skills. We know they heal, but to find out how much and who we have to find them in the NISDIP. This is supposed to be the quick guide to assist with dueling, isn't it?
Jpec07 - May 21, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
All of the information contained in this guide is contained in a more orderly and more complete form in Project NISDIP. Please refer to that for the information you're looking for.
