Hmmm.... this could be fun! I have my quicky character sketch colored even more quickly in Photoshop in my sig, but for some kick butt items, check out My Webpage. Here it is, simply I need someone who can draw very well to create a mascot for .hack//DIVERGENCE. Please only post if you meet the requirements below, and everyone must provide a sample of their work. Going from the samples I may or may not choose someone to draw the image ^_^.

Requirements/Guidelines:

• 1. All images must be ORIGINAL, no existing copyrighted .hack characters from the series/manga/video game
• 2. Images must be either computer drawn, or coloured {CG}. I also request that if scanned, the pic be as high quality as possible
• 3. Regarding USE: I will retain full rights to the pic including changing/resizing it and using it wherever is needed, artist will recieve credit
• 4. The image may or may not be used, as is not limited to, layouts, buttons, stickers, t-shirts, etc.
• 5. Payment: it won't be a real monetary sum, but we'll work out a suitable payment when I choose the artist (think super-rare item exclusive to your character)
  [*6]6. Image will be full body and in the .hack anime style.

The sample artwork can be of absolutely anything, it doesn't matter!
Please post submissions in this thread ^_^.

I can draw the pic ^_^ But you'll have to give me a few weeks or so to make and color the picture. Though most of the week/s I'll need to wait untill I can GET to my dad's house so I can draw it. ((Mom's computer can't draw anything worth crap. Plus I don't even have a scanner here so I can scan something...))

The last one was hand drawn, scanned in, and coloured in ArcSoft PhotoStudio. The background was added in the Photostudio while her name was added in with ArcSoft PhotoImpression. *shrugs* I'll draw the pic for ya if you want, it just won't be easy for me to let go of the rights.

It will be one [or possibly two] full body [large] characters, though I haven't decided the class yet ^_^;;.

I've decided to dust off my pencil and brush the cobwebs off my sketchpad. Though, as Cypher asked, how long *DO* we have to submit works? It will take me two or three days to draw one or two people (most likely 3 or 4 if I do two ppl on a page, cuz I'd want to get the proportions correct, or at least similar).

Is it ok if I use my existing one? I'm sort of short on time, so is it ok if I draw another character and place it on the first?

being as one person may be good at one skill and really stink at another you should ask that previews of the persons previous work should be of the style which your looking for. Or you can just ask for an atempt for the mascot itself and if you don't like the character design but you like the skill ask them to do another. And please, give us some time to make a new pic to be submitted.

It's of my character, Lighteria, but I'd be happy to make some generic characters in a similar style if that's what you're looking for but yes, time frame... picture dimensions... some sense of what the dilly is here! :lol:

I'm not asking anyone to draw it yet. I just want to see a sample of ANYTHING which you have drawn to give me an idea of artisitic skills, etcetera. Once I choose the person to draw it he/she will draw the actual mascot. Just post whatever you have lying around here ^_^. I hope that helps!

i'm going to need at least this weekend seeing as how little time i have now that school is back in session. So it'll take me maybe 2 hours for one...and this weekend to finish some others.

At this point the style doesn't really concern me, I'm ready to go with whichever style I like best, each sample of artwork shows me the artisitic potential of the artist and I can base it from there.

As long as you want, I'm just looking for samples so no one has to draw actual mascots at this time.

Okay, since you said all you need are samples, I'll submit some old black and white stuff I did. If you need color, don't worry - I know someone who doesn't come to DIVERGENCE who can cell paint my stuff for me. ^_^

All right..just as a warning though, I suxxors at drawing(not not as bad as a lot of other stuff). This picture ish alrights, though i have this thing about erasing every and all unwanted lines. And now, you can't even see any of the erased lines from the scanned image. Anyway, I have given you the warning. And one more thing...DON'T LAUGH AT ME!!!!

I'm just throwing out an idea here but why not have a bunch of different mascots, one for each class in the world? Then you wouldn't have to pick on a particular class and maybe multiple people could draw them. Put a different mascot on a different section of the board....but that might be too much work.

Just a thought.

I can attempt, but right now my computer is down, so I dont have access to the internet or a scanner besides that at school, and since it is a weekend...

... Hmm... We are supposed to be getting the computer fixed here sometime soon. I will try really, extremely hard to get in some samples of my work. Some of the stuff I have on DA is really old, and I've gotten alot better since then, having actually achieved my goal of creating my own art style, so I wont bother posting that unless requested.

I'll try, and I'll even make a couple in .hack style, just for good measure.

It really depends though, on what kind of content you want, and if you want CG coloring. I can't do CGing, but a friend that I have can do it really well, better than anything that I have seen.

I'll see what I can do.
