Isaac discovered The World mainly via word of mouth of his friends. He was a fan of offline rpgs, and wondered what this online one would be like. However, he was for a while daunted by how much it costs. Eventually, after he had beaten every game in his collection twice, he decided that he had to try something new or be bored to death.
And so, Isaac scampered to his local game store, purchased it, and similarly scampered back. His friend Lyra had promised to meet him inside, so he clumsily created a character and entered the World.
His first efforts to adjust himself to his surroundings were somewhat less than successful. A bystander would have heard something like this:
"Lyyyyyyraaaaa! Where arrreeee yo-ow! Stupid rock. Lyyyyrrrraaaaaa! I'm looossssst! Gahh! Baddies! DIEDIEDIEIDIEDIE *squish* whew. Lyyrrraaaaaaaaa..." etc.
The character he created, Sargeth, was in a way completely polar to Isaac. He dressed in mostly black, wore a hood that concealed most of his head, and had bright green eyes that seemed to glimmer when happy. Or sad. Or confused. Needless to say, they 'glimmered' a lot.
