Jeremy - November 22, 2003 06:26 PM (GMT)
IS THIS AN ENTIRE DIFFERENT CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????

Rhilla - November 22, 2003 06:52 PM (GMT)
That's what it seems like...

Stryker - November 23, 2003 05:58 AM (GMT)
Please open this up to newbies. I would much rather carry brass knuckles than a spear.

Jeremy - November 22, 2003 10:57 PM (GMT)
So what is up with the high levvel weapons?

Phoenix512 - November 23, 2003 12:04 AM (GMT)
You got to be at least level 17 to be a fist fighter. Why you need weapons below level 15?

Lyra - November 23, 2003 02:02 AM (GMT)
*just sits back and drools* Part of me wants to cling desperatly to my humungo sword and the rest is just goin "Nunchucks... and killing people with my bare hands... ohhhh maaaaaaaan."

Will this ever open up to newbies, too?

Kamina - November 23, 2003 02:03 AM (GMT)
If you think about it It kinda makes sense. In the .hack//game series, you can equip weapons of any level at any level so why not have lvl15 weapons as like initial equipping

Pendant - November 23, 2003 03:50 AM (GMT)
[OOC~ FOUL! ::thwacks the weird player over the head:: This area is IC. Please refrain from mentioning the game or TV series here. Or atleast, fish say it's IC here.]

Arcion - November 23, 2003 07:27 AM (GMT)
For now, build up levels so you can change by the stated rules. I have a feeling this isn't going to change for a while.

Rayo - November 23, 2003 02:52 PM (GMT)
ooc:If anything as the level max gets raised again, you'll have this going up far before it ever descends one lv., trust me on that. This will not be open to newbies, look to it as something to work towards.

Lyra - November 23, 2003 06:25 PM (GMT)
((ooc... I agree with Rayo, since in Dusk, Ouka's class was a special one she earned by being a certain level and finding something... this class is based off her, soooo ya.))

Kamina - November 24, 2003 03:07 PM (GMT)
((ooc: *bows with a large lump on his head* gomen nasai))

Zavier Dragonus - November 24, 2003 05:33 PM (GMT)
(OOC: Interesting...ok, well let me ask. I'm a Blademaster, and I like to be a Blademaster...but can i dual class? Can i sacrfice two levels gain that class, yet still be a Blademaster as well? Just wondering, because that would be awesome...)

Lord_Kanchi - November 24, 2003 06:47 PM (GMT)
Looks numbly at Xeromessia

...you want to give up two levels just to stay a Blademaster? Whatever your smoking, you better share. I don't have to be a mod to tell you that "no, you can not have two classes."

Zavier Dragonus - November 24, 2003 07:01 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I know, I know...it would just be awesome...just a random passing thought.

Rayo - November 24, 2003 09:34 PM (GMT)
ooc:It would be illegal. It would be a lasting change. No player may be two classes.

Zane - November 25, 2003 01:56 AM (GMT)
Will killing people with your thumb include "fist-fighting?"

Lord_Kanchi - November 25, 2003 05:35 AM (GMT)
Rayo, I have a question that's been bugging me about this new class. How will it affect our SP? Say you go Fist Fighter. Your SP is 180 (I believe). Would going from a Light class to a Medium class affect your SP (changing it from 180 to 165), or being that this is a special class, do you retain your SP count?

Pendant - November 25, 2003 06:03 AM (GMT)
[OOC~ Silly Kanchi ::thwacks him over the head with a trout:: Neither Xeromessia nor Rayo have posted here because they're in a coma and all their posts except the news are out of character. Therefore, you cannot see them in character, though you somehow have because you're not using OOC. o.<; To answer your question, yes your SP is changed to that of a Medium class. Otherwise a Heavy-turned-Medium would have less SP than a Light-turned-Medium.]

Lord_Kanchi - November 25, 2003 06:09 AM (GMT)
OOC: Thwack me over the head with a trout again and I'll fry you and the trout for dinner. It's amazing how good penguin tastes.

And thanks.

Sydofh - December 1, 2003 03:49 PM (GMT)
What was the purpose of creating this class? It isn't in the games, correct?
I say we create a Long Bow class, because there is nothing like killing something fifty feet away from you.
~Pink Rose~

retnuhytnuob - December 1, 2003 04:13 PM (GMT)
((OOC: That would be what the wavemaster class is for... And remember. This is an in character discussion arena I think))

Cryshandylan - December 1, 2003 04:29 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Actually I think it could be cool having an Archer class, the enemy dying from a hail of arrows..that would be a cool class...I would definatly consider switchin to an Archer....))

Azuka - December 1, 2003 04:43 PM (GMT)
I totally agree with Sydofh and Cryshandylan we should have an archer class. I think it would be pretty cool. Especially if you are at a low level and you don't know how yo fight. You just stand back at SHOOT. :D

Cryshandylan - December 1, 2003 04:53 PM (GMT)
((OOC: No i think it should be a High level class..like min level 16 takes away 1 level to change so you start as a lvl 15 archer..
kinda like this Fist Fighter...but yea...i doubt it'll happen...

btw Azuki..Sydofh and I were supposed to be OOC so your character didn't read that

Lord_Kanchi - December 1, 2003 05:27 PM (GMT)
...There's no way I would use a sissy bow in a fight, long distance or not. First, you'd need to keep track of how many arrows you use (which would be a pain in itself). Secondly, Wavemasters do the long distance thing better anyway. It's easy to miss an enemy from 50 feet away, waisting arrows, than it is casting a spell which attacks the monster directly. And if your group is in the middle of a huge fight, what makes you think you can aim your arrow just right, missing the Blademaster's head, or the Heavy Axeman's leg? I think the mods don't need to inpliment an arrow counting method, or a hit/miss method into their descisions.
Besides, what's wrong with a street fighting class? Nothing better than puttin' yer dukes up and takin' a whollupin'.

Arcion - December 1, 2003 07:46 PM (GMT)
(OOC:What's sissy about using a bow in battle. It's sissy to be able to shoot your enemy from afar before they can do damage to you. That's the same thing wavemasters do.

There's already a hit/miss calculation in the game, it's what accuracy is for, and from what I've seen, people who train in archery have a better chance of hitting than a up-front fighter. Hitting an ally in the middle of a fight makes it fun. I'm guessing you've never played DnD.

As for keeping count of arrows, I doubt they'll add an item to the shops just so you can buy arrows. SP is already there, why not use it. A regular arrow costs 1 SP each and the special arrows are like special abilities and use 10 SP or something. They would be like the wavemaster class for armor and SP, though speed would need to be higher. I don't know how much went into planning the Fist Fighter class, but I think an archer class would take the same, if not less.

And the Fist Fighter class is street fighting.)

Cryshandylan - December 1, 2003 07:59 PM (GMT)
((OOC: hell if they'd let me, I'd design the bloody thing..it'd be sooo cool..maybe when i get to lvl 15 i'll start designing it and then present it to Rayo...))

Rayo - December 1, 2003 10:35 PM (GMT)
ooc:Keep this on topic, its fist fighters, not an ooc conversation on archers.

Sydofh - December 2, 2003 05:18 PM (GMT)
((OOC: I have to say this one last thing.

Crys, if anyone is going to create an Archer class, it will be me.))

Jeremy - December 6, 2003 06:45 PM (GMT)
((OOC:))why not just make a forum for ideas about new classes, it would be great, that way there would be more choices of classes, and more people "may"want to join this sight, but you would have to take it up with the moderators first.

Ichida - December 6, 2003 09:26 PM (GMT)
( OOC: Great idea to add a new class. I agree that there should be a place to suggest other new classes. I have quite a few ideas. ;) I shall start developing information on them right away!! Maybe you could add Ouka's class, Werewolf/Career Werewolf (still confused on that, damn dubbed manga) )

Gojira - December 6, 2003 10:09 PM (GMT)
(OOC: Why don't you guys take your conversation about what class you would like to make to the general section? Sheesh..)

Hmm... Fist Fighters, eh? Sounds interesting, think I'll give that a shot when I reach the right level. Wonder how many other players I know will make the conversion...

Rhilla - December 7, 2003 12:20 AM (GMT)
I'll probably make the change. This ol' sword's caused me nothing but greef.

Jeremy - December 7, 2003 06:58 AM (GMT)
TripleD, what do you mean it leaves you nothing but grief?

Ichida - December 7, 2003 06:17 PM (GMT)
I'm working on a new class of my own ;) I'll give you all the details once I finish.

Kumori - July 24, 2004 03:59 AM (GMT)
Honestly, the fist-fighters are the only reason I wanna be level 17. Unfortunately, still level one. Waitin for my questin buddy to come back....... after he left without any notice at all........ oh well.

And on the thought will this be opened to newbies (like me), I think it has a level requirement because the mods don't want to give newbies the privelage of a new class. Kind of like, showing your worthy enough to use it........ in the form of a level requirement, because if your lv. 17, you are a good poster :)

Oh, by the way, sorry for reviving an old topic. I kinda just heard about it.....

Kiara - July 24, 2004 04:20 AM (GMT)
Eh, levels only mean you're good enough to not be a level 1 anymore. They really don't dictate who deserves what unless you want people to look at you and take you seriously for what you do. Honestly, I used to get 2 levels on my solos, but recently (since my restart as Kiara), I've only managed one per quest. Gotta figure out the long ways through the dungeons and fight more critters I suppose. ^^"

((OOC: By the way, need I remind you, reaper, that this is an IC forum and talks about posting should be phrased differently as you don't post to gain levels in an actual RPG.))

Neju - July 25, 2004 01:53 AM (GMT)
Come on LVL17. I'm wanting to become a fist fighter. When I do it would be easy to fight. I won't have to weild a heady lance anymore :woot:
