Title: Registration: Anrui

Anrui - May 27, 2003 03:56 PM (GMT)
Hope she checks out okay! ^_^;;

Name: Anrui
Real world player: Lauren
Age: 18
Class: Heavy Axeman
Level: 1
Eyes: Blood-red, big, round and long-lashed, oddly countering her otherwise morbid appearance. Slit-pupiled as well, almost like a cat's eyes.
Hair: Jet-black and mid-back length, kept in a pair of pigtails secured with gauzy red ribbons. Her bangs are just past chin-length, framing her face and fading to red at the ends.
Weapon: Hatchet
Height: 5'4
Clothing: A sleeveless, body-hugging mid-thigh length black dress. A pair of slightly tarnished-looking armor plates rest on the shoulders. In addition to this, she wears armor-plated gloves that come up to her elbows, the knuckles spike-studded and the fingertips clawlike and similarly-plated knee-high boots. A black spiked collar encircles her throat.
Distinctive Characteristics: Anrui's chalk-pale, with a red teardrop marking under each eye and lips blackened. A bit of character editing has given her a pair of stubby silver horns atop her head, a pair of vestigial black bat's wings protruding from her shoulderblades, pointed elflike ears and a long, black spade-tipped tail with a red bow tied around it. Thus she's somewhere between scary and cute, which fits her impish demeanor nicely.
Personality: Anrui's very, *very* quiet around strangers. She's not the type to initiate a conversation, but she *will* gladly reciprocate if someone were to approach her and strike one up. This is provided you don't approach her just to ask something inane like "Do you have a boyfriend?", in which case she'll simply turn around and walk off, disgusted. With people she's familiar with, she's got a very warped sense of humor and loves to tease. All in good fun of course, never malicious teasing. A bit of a smartass too, which can get her into trouble. She can't always tell how far is too far, and she's bound to push at least *one* person too far sooner or later. She'll learn her lesson then, but probably *only* then. Try to insult her and she'll laugh it off. Go after a friend however and prepare to die. Anrui'll be up in your face with an angry verbal barrage as soon as she finds out about it. Doesn't matter how much bigger or stronger than her you are, she'll chastize you all the same. She also tends to curse a bit when she's that angry, but usually won't otherwise. In a combat situation she's much quieter and simply gives the task at hand her full attention until it's over. She'll also likely be aggressive in a fight, not one to hang back and be defensive unless she's really getting smacked around.

Sample:
Lauren hadn't ever played an MMORPG like The World before, but she'd been meaning to try one out for a while now. She'd played many a console RPG of course, but that wasn't the same at all as you weren't interacting with real people. She'd also done a bit of chatroom RPing, which was a *bit* closer but still not the same, since that was all text-based. Plus, she had some friends who played The World, and she was a wee bit tired of constantly being left behind when a conversation concerning the game started. It's annoying when you're constantly lost, you know. Thus, she purchased the game that weekend, tearing into the box with the kind of rabid glee she reserved only for new games once she got it home, wasting no time in popping it into her computer.

"Let's see here..", she mused, looking through all the available classes. "No, no, no...", she paused a moment at Wavemaster, considering. She *did* like playing a mage, after all. After a moment, she shook her head. She was ALWAYS a mage. Time to try something different. Moving right along, then. "No...eh? Heavy Axeman, huh?", here her lips twitched into a slight smirk. It was *certainly* different than what she usually played, to be sure. "Right. Let's try this.."
