Title: Interview with the Dragoon
KamiKazeKiwi3 - October 22, 2003 07:16 AM (GMT)
I've heard uncomfirmed rumors that you (Xeromessia) are the wielder of the power of several types of dragons. I've also heard that some players have engaged your mighty dragons in training combat. Could you, for the record, clear out several doubts that the general population of players have about your abilities?
-Are there actually dragons and how many?
-What do the different dragons do?
-How did you earn their powers?
-What type of environments do they reside in naturally?
-Do you know of any places that we should avoid so as not to meet a terrifying demise?
Being the only one who can wield their untamed powers at this moment you should put our doubts to rest so that we may feel that The Unity will bring good change to the system and not harm us. The people await your reply.
Mirage - October 22, 2003 05:03 PM (GMT)
I haven't heard such rumors myself, but I will say they do sound very intrigining. But chances are these rumors are false. Half of the time rumors tend to be false anyways, so I suggest it's pointless to research such things. But if you want to go right ahead.
Kiekan - October 22, 2003 05:12 PM (GMT)
Dragons in 'The World'? I never new about that.... are they anything like the dragons from D&D or other similar rpgs? Those seem to be the most commonly seen ones....
I might have to take on one of these beasts just to see how tough they really are...
The_End_Cypher - October 22, 2003 09:04 PM (GMT)
Mirage, for not knowing the man at all, or for that matter not seeing them actually, you sure do dismiss it rather quickly.
Mirage - October 23, 2003 12:48 AM (GMT)
Of course, how can I believe in something if there is no proof that it exists and only thrives in rumors.
Shadow_Ryu - October 23, 2003 01:14 AM (GMT)
Ther is proof, just ask any of us (including me) who fought him.
Gojira - October 23, 2003 01:23 AM (GMT)
As Shadow_Ryu wrote, there is proof. I still don't believe it myself, but I know it's true.
Sever - October 23, 2003 03:59 AM (GMT)
Dragons? Well now that sounds cool! Bring them out to play often, Xero?
chaous - October 23, 2003 01:02 PM (GMT)
Hum I think it might be real there is stranger things in the world.
Mirage - October 23, 2003 01:46 PM (GMT)
If those rumors are true, they would have to be in a high level field. Obviously they wouldn't be in the Delta Server.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - October 23, 2003 06:26 PM (GMT)
Incorrect assumption. Since Xeromessia is around level 20 the dragons must be on the Delta Server. No one's going to go into another server's field to commit suicide. Now, I want information from either the dragoon himself or anyone who has fought him. An account of the battle would help. The rest should only read. Commenting on the subject doesn't give answers to the questions.
The_End_Cypher - October 23, 2003 10:26 PM (GMT)
It’s simple. He has the dragon powers contained inside himself. In a battle, he simply accumulates their power, and transforms so to speak. His armoury and weapons are updated. He caries no skills with the transformation; his old ones remain. But his speed and strength are boosted. It is the equivalence of an Ap Do and Ap Corv, only permanent. As for catching them, I assisted in the latest dragon of the water element. The field is not normal, and we went through a series of irregular enemies until we reached a final battle, were the prize was ultimately the dragon spirit.
Hope that helps. If you need anything more, just ask.

stormcloud - October 24, 2003 01:17 AM (GMT)
Well in .Hack//INFECTION, You could optionally fight that dragon on the flying, living boat thing. It was a fire breathing dragon.
Rayo - October 24, 2003 01:23 AM (GMT)
ooc:Stormcloud...infection does not exist. This is the bbs...not general discussion.
stormcloud - October 24, 2003 01:28 AM (GMT)
*coughs* uuhh....I remember a dragon in the manual for the game. it was on this crazy flying, living, ship. *coughs*
Zavier Dragonus - October 24, 2003 03:14 AM (GMT)
Ok, I see that you guys have been discussing this, and I wanted to see what others would say before I posted what actually is and isn't. So, for the record, here is the deal.
My dragon powers were originally created during my first time playing The World. When Rayo, a character named Myk, and I went through this dungeon, we were almost defeated. I found that I was able to reach a "power up" that gave my character extreme power. I went through this transformation once. Keep in mind that at that time, my World name was Zavier Dragonus. Later, when I transformed again, 7 symbols surrounded my body, and each symbol transformed into a dragon. I was given the Wood Dragon symbol first, and I at first did not know why. Later, I found some new information.
There are 7 dragons in all: Wood, Bronze, Iron, Water, Fire, Stone, and Ether. Each dragon gets progressively stronger than the last one, and some, like my Water Dragon, have elemental powers. I won't exactly say what the skills of the different dragons do; that would be giving entirely too much away. But, I will say that the Wood Dragon increases my speed a lot and my strength some, while the Bronze Dragon increases my defense a lot, my attack power a lot, but my speed almost none. So, different dragons have different attributes to them.
As for earning these powers......since it was almost bestowed upon me by whatever, I don't know. I was around level 3 or so when it was given to me. I don't know why I was chosen, and what it has in store for me. But, that's getting ahead a little bit.
The Dragons generally lie in places similar to their attributes, but also to something else. The Water Dragon, as Cypher pointed out, was very difficult to get. There was a Crystal Tower as the dungeon, and while we thought we were going down levels, we were actually going up, to where we almost didn't make it through the fight. However, the reasons the dragons reside in different places are as follows.
Early in playing the game, hackers seemed to make sport of disrupting the flow of things. And they are the ones who have taken control over the different dragons. It's not that I have dragons inside of me; it's more like when I defeat the hacker who is imprisoning the data and using its power, the Dragons place a symbol on my character data and transfer it to me, which gives me a substantial amount of their powers. However, I have exhausted my power in a certain dragon form before and when that happens, my character returns to normal and loses the ability to call that dragon until it regenerates.
Finding the areas where the dragons are located are very hard. I usually have to find an informant, who mails me a place to meet him. When I do, the place is usually crawling with monsters of type and level that shouldn't be there. i guess when I prove myself, the liaison gives me the coordinates of the hacker's place. At present, I have 4 dragons; Wood, Bronze, Iron, and Water. As soon as I get some information about the location of the Fire Dragon, I will probably go to meet the informant. But until then, I will just be in The World.
I only use my powers when my foe is particularly strong, and I would only use it against another player if we were dueling and both agreed to it. So, of that, you can be assured. The Unity wishes for a better "World", and using my dragons' powers, we hope to do just that.
I hope this helped you understand the powers I have.
Xeromessia of the Descending Unified Revolution
(I used to be called Zavier Dragonus of the Descending Dragon Host, but that's...a long story.)
Rayo - October 24, 2003 06:33 PM (GMT)
ooc:Zavier, you can't be posting in the bbs. As all of us in main are in comas...we don't have access to the bbs.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - October 24, 2003 07:11 PM (GMT)
ooc: If Zavier is in Main then why is he in this board at all? Does it just mean that he's not following Main's story while still gaining levels past 20, with the disadvantage of being unable to post in the BBS?
EDIT: They were in the Delta server for a while, but that doesn't have to do with it.
Gojira - October 24, 2003 07:14 PM (GMT)
OOC: Well, I think that even though they might be in a coma and stuck in The World, that doesn't mean they can't come to our Server.
scropion189 - October 24, 2003 11:59 PM (GMT)
hey Xeromessia do you think another player can get them or is it just you that can have the POWER OF THE DRAGONS.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - October 25, 2003 12:10 AM (GMT)
[OOC: He won't be able to answer that, and we have to pretend his post isn't there though the information helps.]
You know... I don't think he checks the BBS much. However, I don't think it's likely that any other person could develope his dragon skills.
scropion189 - October 25, 2003 12:12 AM (GMT)
OOC: that really bites no one else can get them. It would be really cool if you could.
