biography: Born in Guadalajara Mexico and raised there on up until the age of 5, where her parents decided to let her wealth aunt and uncle, in Stockton, California took her in as her guardians, in order to give her a better life and more opportunities. At first when she got there, all she could speak was Spanish and knew only a few English words. Her aunt and uncle taught her as best as they could in English. At the same time, they enrolled her in a normal kinder garden class, hoping she would pick it up faster instead of putting her in a class for children like her. She was teased about her accent a little and unable to comphrend some English words normal USA children would know. But with her Aunt and Uncle helping her she was able to pick up English at the age of 8 very well. At the same time, her little brother came to join her in America. Maria helped her little brother speak perfect English at the age of 5 right away.

By the time she got in high school her cousin from Los Angeles came, he decided to visit Maria for the first time in her life. He told her every thing about himself, what college was like on up to his views on life. Maria didn’t mind and listen intently. After a whole week, her cousin showed her new skills; one would be hacking along with that a game called The World. He told her that The World was the best pc game ever and gave her a copy and everything. By the time she finished registering, her family received a phone call, saying her cousin went into a coma. But She wasn’t told the full details how or why he went into one. Maria continued to go on The World and to find her cousin’s friends on there to see if they knew what happened to him.

character’s personality: Very rude and way to over confidant. Her sarcasm and responds to other people are rather unruly and intorlebal at times. But deep down inside this character lies its player’s true personality. Its up to the player if she wants people to know who she really is. You can say this is a way Maria is taking out her anger and frustration on her cousin getting into a coma.

The day Maria went into The World as Ruri

“Well, I finally finished registering for The World. I can’t wait to surprise my cousin with this character. I’m sure he’ll never guess its me.” Maria said giggling to herself. soon as she began to start up the program of The World on her computer, the phone rang from the living room. She waited to hear who it was when her aunt picked up. Since her aunt always talked to loud. She leaned back on her computer chair thinking, until she heard her aunt cry as if some one died in their family. Maria got out of her computer chair and walked to her aunts’ side along with her brother and uncle. “Tia Rita, what’s wrong? Why do you cry so?” She asked her aunt concerned.

Her aunt looked at all three of them and told them what had happen to her cousin in Los Angeles, but not everything. Maria began to cry a bit and shook her head, not wanting to believe it. For 3 hours straight her aunt had been calling back and forth to Los Angeles, to her other aunt and then her mother, who was going to come from Mexico soon along with her father. That whole time Maria sat in her computer chair staring off in space, looking at the computer screen blankly. It made her furious to a certain degree she couldn’t help her cousin, but depressed at the same time. Out of no were she forced enough strength in her to click on the game, The World on her computer screen.

Soon as she logged on, Maria took on a whole new personality only seen on the internet, like her emotions about this whole ordeal took over her, making a life for itself. Soon as she got on, she wasn’t pleasant to other users and at the same time asked others rudely in a way if they knew her cousin. Thus started her adventure into The World as Ruri.
