Yes, so this is my attempt at working on a tablet. No, the piccie is not complete, and yes, her neck is too long (lol), but its still a work in progress.

Tellz me what you think perease? XD

As far as coloring and line art go it looks good to me but your portions, beyond the neck, look off. The eye's too big and doesn't look like itis exactly in the right spot and the shoulders are too narrow for the size of her head.

*proportions, Ko, her proportions are off.

Though I will say he has a good point, I'm still going to throw it out there and say this is far better than anything I could accomplish, given the same materials. As for the coloring...I don't know that I would have gone with such a simple effect on the hair. At least to me, "I see what you did there."

The rest of what you've colored looks good so far, though. Keep it up. ^_^

Thanks for the compliments and the advice! =] she does have a lot of work left, but I'm happy with it so far! I'm a little too far in to fix the eye and such, but I'm not going to stress about it! I'll just keep that in mind for the next piece!

lineart tut

Hey Rin I found this tutorial to be pretty damn amazing , I know your doing portrait but I never even thought about add as many guidelines and to this extend when drawing with my tablet... when it works... anyways this is a pretty good way to increase your skill, there's also a tutorial on doing flats, and coloring by the same author just look in their previous works stuff.

As for my opinion, I like the coloring but I hate the lines, they look extremely weak and messy, go get solid black lines in after your done drawing it before you start doing the colors... the right shoulder needs to be slightly more slanted... actually the more I look at it, you got a 3/4th face and a portrait torso... you got to change either the necks form and positioning or switch the torso and shoulders a bit more, either way the neck looks like it needs work as we all hear ya...

I enjoy the fact you didn't use pure black for the facial tattoo.. keep it up, I need practice as well.. now only if my tablet wasn't broken XD

Thanks for the tutorial Isato! I'll check it out! ^_^

Yeah, the overall piccie needs a lot of work, but it was just a test run. I'll probably be drawing more images here soon and working on them on the tablet. I think I was more excited about my coloring of the face than anything else. That is the strongest part (in my opinion). Lol
