Title: Hidden Forbidden Idiot’s Pea Sized Brain
Description: Taking stupidity to a new level.

Adaron - July 24, 2003 09:03 PM (GMT)
If anyone wants to we can go on a quest to fight against Balmung and win and meet Helba and get amazing powers that drain something! After that we can all exchange insults over which Guild is better than the other, and shove our heads up our butts to try to find something worth being childish about. When we're finished there we can take a stroll down Arrogance Lane and talk highly of ourselves while looking like complete idiots. Once we get through doing that we can go to Mc Wannabes to have our characters act really powerful and have extraordinary powers. After all of that is done we can go to Club Brown Nose and kiss all the (Edited by me for fear of actually saying a naughty word. ^.^) we can!

Of course what trip through the great state of Stupidity would be complete without going to see the great sights of its national park. When we get there we will have a picnic and discuss how cool and powerful we after we get done devouring the bullcrap that seems to flow from our mouths. Then we'll stop for a moment to search for the meaning of life and find it has been in our dictionary all along.

Ahem the point I'm trying to make is people tend to go overboard. We know you're big and bad and have the mouth of a crazed 11 year old high on pixie stix. The real problem I have is with the complete and utter lack of imagination, effort, and just the complete ignorance of some people. There are steps you can take to cure the dreaded disease known as Jerkphobia. Jerkphobia was discovered a year ago and seems to infect people from the age of 8-18 who have access to the internet. When they manage to catch Jerkphobia which is in fact contagious there are a few warning signs to indicate they have this dreaded disease.

A. They use really bad language, a lot and their only defense to "Yo mamma!" seems to be that their mother is dead.

B. Upon noticing the alarmingly large rate of mothers of Jerkphobians dying there can be only one excuse. The little brats are annoying their mothers to death as they do many of us who have to share chat rooms/forums/MMORPGs with these little >>Insert random word here.<<.

C. They tend to be childish and instead of accepting the fact they're idiots their normal defense will be "Whatever *Rolls eyes.*" or "*@&*$ you *&(##%&(* stupid ()*%# dumb #%()* I hat (Did that on purpose.) yew!(And that one too.) Go to hel!(Did that one on purpose to point out the idiots tend to make a lot of errr errors...)

With all that said. *Strangles every random idiot he comes across.* If this gets deleted fine, I'm just stating my opinion. This growing number of jerks must stop!

I'll agree with you on the subject except for one thing you got wrong. The illness can't be called Jerkphobia because that would simply indicate a fear of jerks. I propose calling it Jerk's Syndrome, as in being afflicted of being a jerk. Otherwise I agree with you. ^_^

Tsurugi - July 24, 2003 09:52 PM (GMT)
Hats off to you Adaron you named it perfect, all I can do is clap. You've left me pretty speechless on how you deplict every little S*** that has the symptoms you spoke about above. And I for one will join you in your quest to not only find a cure but to make sure we wipe every person that's seemed to come down with this annoying sickness off the face of the boards. I'm really grateful you pointed this out directly instead of dropping little hints on those diseased persons every post.

Adaron - July 24, 2003 09:57 PM (GMT)
Bah I know, I was watching Initial D and was thinking that. I came on to fix it but. O.o Screw it. Ahem it shall now be known as Jerk's Syndrome!! (Had to turn Initial D off to come post this Y_Y how evil.)

Matsuei - July 24, 2003 10:13 PM (GMT)
I agree Adaron. You hit every point XD.( actually i didn't read, i just skimmed) Anyway, I do agree with you on this. People like that have no imagination. Thats why people say RPGs are stupid. They do not understand the concepts and stratagy that take place in these games. That's why they say they're stupid.(by my point of view) They're just low life people that wouldn't understand anything XD!! And calling it Jerk Syndrome is pure genius.(not really, i just like the sound of it.) BTW, Initial D R0X0R5!!

Hayabusa - July 24, 2003 11:52 PM (GMT)
Wow...Adaron, I have never seen a statement so truthful and yet so devilishly sarcastic in my life. I really respect that you've posted this. you my friend have made a lot of excellent points that I have sadly noticed in some members as of late (because I'm still sort of new...). It's unfortunate, but every RPG is plagued with at least a few people such as you have mentioned, and it really can't be helped. Hate to be the pessimist here, but it's fact. Even if you do weed some of them out (which I'm not really sure how to do so), more will come. What we must do is embrace the good, realistic writers (by realistic I don't mean unimaginative, but just...realistic. Keeping within reason, you know...Originality is great, but some people can just get way out of hand). Some players here are just developing writers, and that's ok, but there are those that are completely guilty of what Adaron has mentioned, and that's no good.

Playing god = BAD

Thanks for expressing your views. This shouldn't get deleted, but who knows?

ronin - July 25, 2003 12:57 AM (GMT)
Close call. I thought I had it for a sec (Symptoms A-first half) but luckilly I didn't fit the rest. If nothing else I don't fall within the age limit. Thanks for the ground breaking medical coverage (I think it is anyway). Keep up the good work. (If I'm one of those that brought this to your attention I'm going to feel like such a shmuck)Thank you for the good news pheonix512.

Phoenix512 - July 25, 2003 12:59 AM (GMT)
No, I think I know who that Adaron is talking about.

The_End_Cypher - July 25, 2003 01:26 PM (GMT)
Well, Adaron, you have done you're homewrok. Good job. While it was funny on one hand, I could see a bit of myself onWell, Adaron, you have done you're homework. Good job. While it was funny on one hand, I could see a bit of myself on the other. I did not like it a first, but I have to face the facts. I HAVE JERKOPHOBIA!!!!

Well it isn’t that bad but, it’s not that good either. OMG Adaron you opened my path for enlightening. Yay!

Lyra - July 26, 2003 01:51 AM (GMT)
Can anyone else sense the sarcasm oooooozing from Cypher's post? Don't worry dude, you've got some of the symptoms but at least you have the creativity and spell check to make up for it. I'm with Adaron though. Posting like that on your first quest is okay, but afterwords it gets annoying. As does trying to read someones post that feels like hucked on fawniks wurked fer them. I admit myself to being a nagging $#@%# about people who forget quotes, even my own husband *guilty* which is annoying in itself (the nagging I mean), but on the other hand I also admit that my plotline involves hackers, though I'm making an effort to use the cliche in new ways and never mention Helba! What would she or any of the other chars be doing here anyway? We're in Delta for crissakes, we max out at what, level 30 for fields? Level 20 in practice? And they're probably around level 80?

I wouldn't mind a random mention of the Knights though... that'd be kind of funny... heh...

Okay, I'm getting (*cough*gotten*cough*) off topic. Rant over, carry on fellow citizens of Idiotsburg.

P.S. my defense is double! Defense A: real mom is dead. Defense B: adoptive mother is exactly what all those jokes say. XD

Echo - July 26, 2003 02:06 AM (GMT)
I don't know..... Adaron's discription of Jerk Syndrome kinda sounds fun!

~Echo's Imagination~

Jerk 1: *Beats the liviing crap out of nearest Jerk* "haha yu be n00bzor! Wow I gained like a bajillion levels! Now I think I should go beat the <enter strange and/or words that don't make sense here> out of Balmung and then i'll like have *counts fingers* 2 -bajillion levels. And while I'm at it, I'll randomly become a hacker and then fly and dodge bullets! I roX0rz your Box0rz!

Jerk 2: Um..... yo mamma?

-----------------------------------------------

You see? Now that's what I'd call a perfect world!

Miyabi - July 26, 2003 02:20 AM (GMT)
You have NO idea how much that just scared me, Echo. I must now weep in the corner, as my poor little mind has been most horribly scarred. Mind-scarification = BAD.

Seriously, if you REALLY want to see Jerk Syndrome at it's best [or worst, as the case may be], go RP in AOL's "Rhydin" chat rooms. You can visit such *wonderful* locales as the "Rhydin Gas Station", "Rhydin Ghetto" and "Rhydin Street Corner"! I kid you not, these rooms have actually existed at one point or another. Along with others that I can't mention here, due to content. ::cough:: >.>

People there will walk into a medieval setting brandishing chainsaws and uzis, have a vocabulary consisting of little beyond "A/S/L?", seem to think that you can breed everything under the sun with Saiya-jins, play infants that can walk and talk at like...four months of age...

...AND REATTACH THEIR DECAPITATED HEAD LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. Seriously. Just pick it up and reattach it. Or say their power level's like...eight trillion times higher than yours and punch you through a mountain. Even if you're a full-grown red dragon, in draconic form no less.

After you've been there a while, you'll either grow utterly desensitized to stupidity, or be driven insane by it.

The_End_Cypher - July 26, 2003 03:54 AM (GMT)
Actually, there was no sarcasm in my post. And if I misspelled, please don't kill me. !'m sorry. <======= that was sarcastic btw.

Dakota - July 26, 2003 12:39 PM (GMT)
The AOL ones are fun to go and mess with the poor role players heads. Try starting a game of "And then you die" there. It's pretty funny to see the reactions of the guys you mentioned.

Plastique - July 26, 2003 04:19 PM (GMT)
LOL!! Oooooh, I so needed to see something like this.

I just left a chat (well, am trying to leave, damn kids won't let me LEAVE!) that had mostly God-mods, whiners, and just sheer stupidity. After a failing attempt to revive proper RP there, I'm leaving the work to everyone else who was willing to give it a shot. They can go crazy trying to tell people to quit bein so damn DUMB!

*ahem* Someone is a little hostile... >_> Couldn't be meeee, nope!

Lyra - July 26, 2003 04:54 PM (GMT)
I first started out in an MSN rpg room... a group thats amazingly still together x.x Everyone's a god-mod in AOL, I'll agree with that, but in MSN its mostly the "A/S/L?" "^%$#^^@%$" variety, who wander in and out of chats. thank goodness for private chats lol that happens to be the best thing about AIM. I occasionally enjoy it when one of those cussing idiots or someone who's clearly high wanders in though... nice thing to vent on. Even if they don't take their hits.

Asura - July 26, 2003 05:10 PM (GMT)
And I couldn't have put it better myself Adaron.

Anyways. About MSN Chat RPing... they're mostly GMs. I've seen one area where people could actually RP on a decent level for the most part, but if it comes to fighting, it goes something like this.

Fight Not Necessarily Quoted
Person 1: *sends wave of energy at Person 2*
Person 1: *this is so*
Person 2: *dodges the energy wave*
Person 2: *this is so*
End Fight Quote

That is why I recommend everyone help the spreading of systems that don't allow that sorta stuff! I personally recommend TRBS, which while its main site is no longer up, TKBS is completely identical. Its located at http://www.tkbs.cjb.net as I remember. Or something like that. Maybe remove the www... I'm not really sure. But help spread TRBS. Its a good system for chat RPing, and removes the nasty godmodding.

Speaking of fights in MSN... I actually fought somebody using fighting like the above quoted fight. Using TRBS. After a while I left though. Mostly because nothing was doing any damage. Reminds me of the VM from the old chat site I used to go to... I'm sure Adaron remembers the GMs there.
