SCHEDULED CHATS

Now as some of you may know I had a chat going with a number of the Radical Dreamers in it. But there are a few problems that we'll need to discuss so that we can get as many possible members on and arrange times for meetings with the whole clan involved.

So I ask that you all post here whether or not you have anything to say about the questions I'll be asking or bringing up and offer any AIM or MSN account screenames if you have them. If you don't have one or the other than say so. I'll create a list here with the ones I know and as you guys respond I'll add more or will change them if you use a sn more than another.

Now to the questions or things I want to point out...

-We need to decide whether or not to hold the chats in AIM or MSN. AIM is the obvious answer but both Ezekial and Rude do not have AIM accounts. I'd like to know whether or not they'd be willing to get one and if at all just use it for scheduled chats.

-When should we hold the chats? I can always have a chat room open at all time but we need to have a date/time that is scheduled for all members to discuss anything of importance and recent Divvy happenings. I'd like us to discuss this here and agree on finding one day during the week and a time period of two or three hours for scheduled chats.

-Kulotsuki uses a messenger program that for some reason isn't completely combatible with Gaim, which is what I use. Last night I tried to send him an invite repeatedly yet he never recieved a single one. Eventually we just shifted to a chat room he created.

I'll add more things when I come up with them unless there are responses made before then.

I can be on basically any day, any time, as long as its 4:00-10:00 on weekdays (excluding Friday), and 9:00-? on weekends (including Friday). I don't have an MSN account as of yet, but if it needs to be done, I shall allocate one.

But AIM is the devil...

Essentially, I can be online anytime after 3pm, except on Tuesdays. Never on Tuesdays...

And yeah. I guess I can get an AIM account, though it goes against everything that I believe in and hold dear. But for you, The Radical Dreamers, I shall make that sacrifice. I will commit this blasphemous, heretical act. For you.

I have msn, I just never bother with it. In fact...*checks HD* I haven't even installed it since my udgrade.

Since Ezekial is willing to go with AIM I see no reason to use MSN for the chats. I'll await Rude's response here before making that final but I'm hoping that he'd be willing to get an AIM account just for the scheduled chats. Though with him being in a very different time zone then any of us he may not even be able to take part in them. *shrug* Can't really add anymore until we get some more responses.

So right now the main thing is coming up with a date and time. I know I'd be available 95% of the time during Sunday through Thursday during the night. Friday and Saturday however, it's pretty iffy because when I go out for the night those are the two nights I do so. And so it'd be only like 75% of the time I'd be available.

I'm good whenever for it. If i'm not on AIM when your planning to have a chat, PM or email me and i'll hop on.

Minor change to when I can be on for scheduled clan chats: Not Friday. Possibly not Saturday.

Saturday is only a maybe because I never make plans for Saturday. They just sorta happen. And Friday's a no because I have school, and then I go out for the rest of the day.

...*cough* Anyway, maybe post up times for a chat a week in advance, and hold one on both MSN and AIM at the same time. That way people can debate the time until we find the best time, and cover all people who don't have either MSN or AIM.

Anywho. I have MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Integrity, and ICQ. As for the times when I'll be available.... That's pretty difficult to say. I'm not available at any specific time from day to day. It'd probably be easier just to schedule the chats without considering me, and then invite me if I should happen to be on. *nodnod* That's what I'm going with. And also. *coughpiesuckscough*

Okay. Let's start trying out some various times and days. I'm going to request that everyone who can, attend the scheduled chat. It will be for Wednesday, October 12, 9-10PM eastern time. Be logged into AIM by 9 and from there you'll be invited to the chat. This is because I have to figure out some things, like who will be hosting the chat and whether or not it should be created in Gaim or in AIM, etc.

EDIT: So to Ezekial and Rude, if you plan to attend then post here with the AIM sn you'll be using.

I'm not gonna be there. Wed and Thurs are my babysitting nights. Weekends I'm usually out with my friends or family until who knows what time.

One of my friend's is coming over that day. Depending on how late he gets out of my house depends on whether or not I'll come. As of now I can probably make it, but I'm writhing between being social and being a couch leech like an elephant on a tightrope...

...Maybe not the best metophor, but I was never good with 'em. Totally failed that part in english. In short, I'm playing by ear, but I'll be on if I can. :blink:

Nothing much of importance was discussed. We talked about Divvy things, short people vs. tall people, and Reiko's witch hunt.

So to continue with the testing I'm scheduling a chat for this Monday, from 8-9PM eastern time. I'm hoping that more of you will be available and I've moved the time back an hour to see if it works out a little better. Again, any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome.
