Title: >:D Firebanes!
Description: Muahahahaha
Xantos - August 29, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
The bronze bell hanging from the pawn shop door jangled as Xantos wandered inside, half out of boredom, half out of wanting to stock up for the upcoming quest. With a yawn, he moved towards the current stock list and began to read it, scratching his ears in thought.
"Hmm... Lessee... Whaddawegothere? Don't need wands currently... Although some new spells would be nice... All other weapons don't have magic, and are therefore useless... Armor... Too high, regrettably... Items... Oooh. What have we here?" Xantos' eyes settled on a item whose name sounded unfamiliar, although very... interesting. Pulling up the in-game help menu, he did a search for items with the name of "Firebane".

"Ooooh. That's awesome. Okay. I'm buying some." Xantos grinned and tapped on the silver bell that rested on the counter. "Excuse me," he called into the back room. "Anyone back there?"
Pendant - September 2, 2005 04:08 AM (GMT)
Pendant stopped and looked at the customer. The silver penguin was about to waddle back into the shop stock room with a box he was checking. The box held the shop's bane items, including eight Firebanes. The penguin set the box on the counter momentarily as he faced Xantos, awaiting his purchase order.

Xantos gazed at the items, and debated how many he'd be needing.
Hmm... I probably ought to under buy. I can always come back for more if I buy too many, but if I overbuy I could only sell them back for probably half price, if that. That would cost me money.
"Mmm... Let's see... How much would four cost?"
Pendant - October 3, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
The penguin drew the Firebanes from the box and pulled out his notepad. It was a simple calculation which he had to do. He showed the numbers to Xantos once he was done.
"800 GP cost"

((OOC: I'm going to just go ahead and toss out my old level 1 gear that I got better stuff for on my most recent quest/bought, even though I wouldn't have it by now, just so I don't have to waste space in the shop by creating a new thread. Work with me here.//OOC))
Xantos considered the offer for a moment. He had money to burn. Although he probably should be thinking about new body armor sometime soon, just so any of his gears didn't remain too horrible for long. Scanning the stock list one last time, just to make double sure he couldn't use anything there, his eyes came to rest on a light body armor. Oooh. Level six. Finally. Something better than the junk they start you off with I can actually USE. Gasp. And Burning Oils.
"How much would it change the price if I added the Noble Cloak and the two Burning Oils on the list, and gave you my two Leather Coats, one of my Inferno Wands, a pair of Safety Shoes, and my old Bandana? Most of the gear is new, except for one of the coats, and my old Bandana. The Inferno Wand has never been used."
Pendant - October 9, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
Pendant observed the items carefully for signs of abuse or permanent damage. They seemed to be in good shape for the most part. He drew his notepad again and scribbled out his new arrangement with the customer. The Inferno Wand was an item of interest to the bird. He finished crunching numbers and showed Xantos the new price.
"Firebane x4 + Burning Oil x2 + Noble Cloak = Leather Coat x2 + Safety Shoes + Bandana + Inferno Wand + 170 GP"
Xantos - October 11, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
Xantos inspected the transaction carefully, making sure everything he wanted was on there, and also everything he didn't. Satisfied, he pulled 170 GP out of his money bag and handed it to Pendant, along with the aforementioned items he had specified as wanting to get rid of. Collecting the new items, he bowed to the penguin. "My thanks! Now... What to burn..." Smiling and muttering, he walked out of the Pawn shop in search of more adventures.
