umm...how come you guys stuck to the defult. you would get more members if you changed the skin to comething better no offence

Well, I like this skin best. It doesn't hurt my eyes, like so many of the flashy 'cool' ones tend to do...
I don't think our skin affects how many new members we get. This site is about RPing and having fun. Not about looks.

Invision does not currently support the use of custom skins on the board. It's not compatible with their CSS-driven way of determining the appearances of boards. They expect to enable custom skins in a future upgrade. Until then everyone on the site shares the same skin. I would much rather have the default than roll around in agony at the sight of someone's bright-yellow and dark-grey layout. *coughs*

Actually Kiwi, [MMMMM....Kiwi..] one of my friends sites has multiple custom skins, and its an invisionfree site.

It's not like a different skin color would make the people's writting any different. Still the same writters, still the same writting.

You can write JavaScript to have lots of different CSS files loaded, but there would still have to be a main skin as the default. It might not work on all browsers. Finally, you can't apply your own skin anyways. I think messing with the board that way is asking for it not to work, not to mention ugly (do you want a drop-down box hanging around all the time?). However, the board has a skin section in everyone's personal settings. As the support board says, it's a dud. Skins and some other features were deactivated for various reasons.

Besides, I like the skin as it is now. I've been coming here for over a year now and if it hasn't changed yet, I hope it never does.
