Let's say I'm getting chased by those knights or whatever you mentioned in my last question, because I have hacks or something. And let's say it's in the field and they are trying to attack me. Since they would be npc's, would I be allowed to PK them?

Do realize it'll be hard for you to PK them unless your hacks are good. Also realize that by PKing it, you'd be forfeiting your account because I'm sure they won't waste time deleting you.

Now, on the other hand, if some random player sees you and thinks, "ooo, bounty" and you PK them... fine. Or they could PK you. Happy days.

I'd just reccomend doing everything in your power to avoid the Knights.

You do remember that they also arrest people over 'The World', right?

It was proven in .Hack//LoTB, the show, when that group of hackers attacked the knights.
