Tsurugi - July 1, 2003 03:46 PM (GMT)
In the distance a shadowy figure is seen approaching. As it becomes closer more defenition to the person is beginning to become more clear. Tsurugi approaches in the distance a foot step lead by another one following by the bottom end of his spear. The field around was vast and open and only a clear day was in the sky. The lighting was perfect everywhere and there were no structures or trees anywhere. Every spot looked the same but finally he reached a spot where he stopped. For onlookers they could now see that this person was Tsurugi and that he was showing up for his match. Tsurugi paid not much attention but to infront of him. He plants his spears end firmly into the ground piercing it somewhat his fingertips curling firmer around the cylinder shaped staff.
"Hmmm...I like this place..." Tsurugi says quietly to himself.
Tsurugi keeps his composure straight and leans to the right a little pushing his spear into the ground a little more. He awaits for his opponents arrival was none other then his good friend Kiwi. Suddenly a small grin curled his lips as he thought again for a second.
Kiwi's my opponent...
Tsurugi shakes his head his face returning to his normal emotionless glare as he awaits for Kiwi to arrive. He just stood there as every once in awhile a small breeze would blow across and his cloths would ripple and shake in the wind along with his bangs shifting over to the right side of his face the tips sliding back and forth over his cheek bones.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 1, 2003 04:00 PM (GMT)
As is usual for The World, three rings fly up on their own while materializing a body onto a field. This, however, is no ordinary field. This is a field of destiny, as Kiwi's body appears calmly. Waiting till he was loaded completely into the area, he finally opens his eyes to view the arena his opponent had chosen. A flat grassy field surrounding him for as far as he could tell, there would probably be no dungeon or structures in this locale. Kiwi was there to face Tsurugi in an honorable match to test both their strengths and their tactical abilities. Since there were no obstacles around path, it was a simple matter for Tsurugi to detect Kiwi the moment he entered. A moment of deafening silence grips the arena, a small grin crawling across Kiwi's lips at the sight of Tsurugi. None of the onlookers mattered, as they were not opponents. Forming his hands into tight fists, his knuckles cracked in anticipation. Unlike Tsurugi, Kiwi had not drawn his weapon as the sword slept peacefully his back. Maintaining a safe distance from Tsurugi he finally spoke.
"En garde," Kiwi shouts.
He maintained a firm stance and stood with his hands clapped together.
Tsurugi - July 1, 2003 04:28 PM (GMT)
Tsurugi's eyes meet with Kiwi's as he gated into the field. His lips curled into another grin as he stood there. His hand lightened it's grip on his spear as he stood up firmly. Tsurugi's body turned slightly and faced directly infront of Kiwi alligned perfect so that they could start out exactly. Tsurugi's face then become emotionless as he stood there.
"My pleasure.."
Tsurugi's left arm unlocked from his side and faced outwards as his fingers extended and then balled into a small fist the sound of knuckles being heard cracking echoing in the wind. Tsurugi pullled his spear from the ground it uprooting some of the ground the dirt falling from the end of his spear. He curls his wrist and his spear begins to spin foward slowly, Tsurugi's eyes narrowed as his arm jerked backwards the spear twirling behind him backwards before spinning it to his side and then infront of him. He curls his free arm inwards and his fingers slightly feel the motion of the spear as it shifts and takes it into his own hand. He twirls it around as his body leans foward the spear rotating across his back. He then taps it with his foot as his body leans back the spear spinning high into the air. Tsurugi stood there and stared at Kiwi as his foot extending somewhat his body getting into a small stance his body still upright though. The whistling sound of his spear heard falling straight to the ground spear tip faced down. Tsurugi's hands slowly curl into the perfect fitting of the staff as the spear skims through his fingers barely missing the skin and sliding down more. Instantly the spear tip stops an inch from the ground as his fingers tightened hard around the staff catching it in his hand. He twirled it upwards slowly and stood there in his stance.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 1, 2003 05:14 PM (GMT)
As Tsurugi spins his lance, Kiwi fears he may be readying himself for an assault shortly. In preparation for such a moment, he holds his hands together firmly and intertwines his first 3 pairs of fingers. They clamp down tightly, holding his hands together like cement. His index fingers stick out and meet at their tips, forming a sort of triangle. His thumbs cross together and end at the knuckle beginning the index finger of the opposite hand.
"Ap Do," Kiwi mutters.
His breath holds for a moment, a small ball of yellow light forming within the triangle of his index fingers. He stares carefully at Tsurugi's spear movements, on his guard for sudden attacks. A yellow aura emerges from his hands, summoning forth lighting speed. It slowly consumes him, using 10 of his SP yet granting him double the speed he would normally have. As the whistling spear movement approaches a peaceful cease, Kiwi maintains his hands bound together. The breath he held back emerges silently once the spell has completed its effect, hovering out into the field. He has yet to awaken his sleeping sword, which awaits battle upon his back. Although he now has a higher velocity than his opponent, Kiwi does not attack or even move from the spot at which he has stood from the beginning of the match.
Tokkis Pet 3 - July 1, 2003 11:17 PM (GMT)
Tsurugi - July 2, 2003 05:43 AM (GMT)
"Increased speed?...didn't know you had that...but that's my fault" Tsurugi says calmly.
Tsurugi's eyes narrowed those crystal hues of his locking directly with Kiwis. For Tsurugi this fight was the main event and all he could focus on. Not wanting to give away any potentiel of what his abilities might hold he decides to start this match and give the people what they wanted to see, a good fight. Tsurugi twirls his spear unlocking his lance and breaks his stance as his knees bend. He pushes off hard the ground sort of bursting from the wind given off by his speed as he dashes quickly to Kiwi. Upon approaching towards Kiwi he figured he would have increased speed as well as attacks and movements. He stops directly infront of him his knees bending and causing him to take to the air in a springed jump. His body tightly tucked into a long slender form as he spirals in the air his body outlined by the sun and his bodies description just a shadow now if Kiwi happened to look up. Though it seemed forever to Tsurugi this action was quite quick as his knees bended his feet slamming hard onto the ground behind Kiwi's body. His body turned allowing easy manueverment incase of a blow that would be directed towards his body knowing it would be either high or low seeing as Kiwi couldn't turn fast enough to see his body's position. Tsurugi's arm hanging low and loosley so that he could use it when needed for a quick reaction his arm twirling his spear the sound of it whistling behind Kiwi whistling through the wind heading down towards his shoulder.
"Over here.." Tsurugi said durring this action calmly.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 2, 2003 06:56 AM (GMT)
With the dark shadow of Tsurugi flying through the air, Kiwi has little time to formulate a counterattack. Using his previously untested speed, he takes his left hand up to the hilt of his sword, which sticks out over his right shoulder. A powerful dash forward and away from his opponent is stronger than what he expected, putting a small distance between the two as the words 'Over here...' came into contact with his ears. The distance he gained from Tsurugi would keep him safe from any physical attacks that he may have planned. His sword is unsheathed, glimmering under the light of the digital sun and swinging diagonally. It comes down from the right, heading towards the left as if Kiwi plans to strike the floor. His left hand opens a moment, still guiding the sword along with a few fingers, the hilt spins between his digits adding a strange twist to the swing. As the tip of the blade speeds towards the floor, the odd movement of the hilt causes it to stab into the ground firmly. The force of his left arm makes sure it digs into the earth. His quick movement is abruptly broken, his feet tearing into the ground while his left hand holds on hard to the sword. He uses the sword as a break, pulling himself back hard and completing a rough 180 degree turn. He now faced Tsurugi who remained about 3 meters away. As he pulled through the harsh curve, his right hand slid into his jacket and remained cozily there.
“Lets make this a spectacular opening match,” Kiwi thinks, holding back the grin that tries to emerge.
No time to waste, he dashes off again with a hard push against the ground that crushes the innocent grass under his feet. His current course leads straight towards Tsurugi, breath held back by the tension of battle. Although Kiwi's steps were in reality agile and nimble, he perceived everything as slow and heavy. His sword turned hard under the steel grip of his left hand into an angle that reflected the sun. Kiwi turned it just right as he ran, reflecting the suns rays into Tsurugi's watchful eyes. He scrutinized his opponent carefully while on the approach, trying to predict the movements of the probably blinded player. Now that the heat of battle had made him draw his blade, things would become serious.
Tsurugi - July 2, 2003 11:53 PM (GMT)
Tsurugi's eyes wince as he catches the light directly into his pupils. He takes a half step back his eyes narrowing and wincing trying to redirect the light to see even the slightest shadow of Kiwi. It was no use though and nothing could be seen just the bright light, though a fake sun it still burned his retnas slightly. If Kiwi could see Tsurugi's face then he would notice that it was calm now, and that his lips curled into a grin. This grin was no ordinary grin but the grin of a person who knows what's going to happen. Tsurugi's eyelids close to force out the sun from hurting them any longer, his hand curling slowly behind his back and grabbing something from his little sash pouch. He pulled out two small vials as they twirled slightly inside the middles of his fingers.
"Watch this closely or you might miss it..." Tsurugi says silently not audible enough for Kiwi to hear.
Tsurugi pops one of the vials and dumps it in his mouth immediately dropping it and popping the other into his mouth. A small aura swirled around his body as it serged around his feet and then up his body before bursting into a small shower of energy it slowly fading into the ground.
"A hermits blood and a wizards blood" He said it loud enough for Kiwi to hear.
Tsurugi's finger curl around his spear and twirls it holding it infront of him his eyes still closed avoiding the blinding light. He heard Kiwi's steps become louder as he approached, a yellow aura forming underneath his feet and then up his legs hearing the footsteps getting louder.
"RAI ROM!" Tsurugi shouted knowing the spell would stop Kiwi in his tracks.
The yellow aura bursted from around his feet his arms pushing outwards the spear facing towards the direction of the now stuck Kiwi. And with the hermits blood and wizards blood this attack was sure fire since it raised the attack of magical attacks and the accuracy. A small little funnel formed underneath the feet of Kiwi as another formed down them both slowly swirling and finally collecting into the middle. A large funnel tornadoe formed now Kiwi trapped inside as it violently swirled around his body finally a loud roar heard as lightening struck numerous times into the tornadoe electricity serging all around the tornadoe as it spins. Small little shocks echoing through Tsurugi's ears his eyes still closed. The wind whistling hard.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 2, 2003 11:59 PM (GMT)
Watching as Tsurugi utters the words 'Rai Rom', Kiwi immediately puts his backup plan into action. He calmly lowers his sword, the tip resting upon the grass as the hilt is firmly held by his left hand. His right hand still in the interior of his jacket scours for an object as he kneels to the ground. His blue jeans poked by short grass, Kiwi slowly draws his right hand out into the open again. A card only slightly larger than a playing card is pinch between an index finger and a middle finger, hovering just a few inches from Kiwi's face. A dark image of a dead hand emerging from the earth is imprinted within a golden frame, the words Dark Night engraved below the image. The ground around him begins to light up with an intricate yellow crest, signaling that he must hurry.
"Dark Night," he shouts.
He quickly lowers the card to the ground and lays it flatly there, its image facing up. With little time left, Kiwi remains kneeled but carries his sword towards the right with his left hand still holding the hilt. His right hand joins its partner in carrying the sword, allowing him to lift it over the card. A quick glance to the side detects yellow orbs rising around him rapidly. He thrusts the sword down into the card, watching it fade away once the blade has pierced into the grass. Turn to his side, a large orb of light hovers a bit higher than his head and just few feet away. It shines brightly, ready to fry Kiwi with the aid of other orbs that have surrounded him. The ground shakes under his feet from the spell he just summoned, though it may be too late. An orb suddenly brightens up, about to release a lightning bolt, when a large finger tears out through the grass. Its surface is dark, like the hand of a restless human soul, tipped with a long razor-sharp fingernail. The electricity surges through the finger as it rises, its true form revealed. A large hand has risen, curling its cold dead fingers around Kiwi to absorb the onslaught of Rai Rom. He momentarily rests in the safety of the hand's palm. In the end, both spells cancel each other out due to the fact that they are of the opposing elements, Darkness and Thunder. He remains unscathed from the burning hand, looking around for his opponent once again.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 12:29 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi's eyes open slowly seeing that no light was illuminating over his closed eye lids. He watched in horror as the hand was gripped around Kiwi's body and countering all of his attacks. Tsurugi's eyes narrowed watching the hand covering all of Kiwi's body. He figured Kiwi had more of these and that another magick attack would prove useless, he breathed slowly as the tornadoe faded away from vision but the hand still clenched slowly going to sink into the ground anytime. Tsurugi's eyes opened widely as he got an idea, his hand reaching behind him his fingers skimming inside of his sash grabbing two more vials. He clenched them into his hand deciding to take advantage of the large hand holding Kiwi in position for him and keeping him sightless for the short while. Adjustments were made inside of Tsurugi's head as he tossed the one vial into the air sort of hard but not as far his knees bending. That last attack only using 10 sp he had plenty more to spend for this next onslaught. The vial still seemed to skim through the air in the direction of Kiwi the hand slowly beginning to part and open still covering Kiwi's body, the grass blades swaying from the gust of wind Tsurugi caused as he pushed off dashing with all his might at Kiwi. Barely passing the vial the hand slowly lowering more and more into the ground reavling Kiwi slowly but not enough for him to catch this move as his body sort of sprang to the side in an akward side flip his body lunged to the side away from Kiwi's vision breaking the other vial over him the reddish aura serging over his body as his feet firmly connected with the ground in a soft pat now directly to an angle with Kiwi somewhat behind him just as the other vial he threw fell and hit Kiwi shattering over him a akward color aura surrounding him but in more of a mist then an aura. He had hit Kiwi with a Knights Bane causing his defense to drop and the vial that he shattered over himself being a Warriors Blood tremendously bringing up his already great strength. Before Kiwi could understand what had happened Tsurugi dashed behind Kiwi at the angle he was in. The angle not giving any error to Tsurugi's attack diminishing any possibility for Kiwi's movement. The angling was perfect and the length of his spear would assure a hit for Tsurugi.
"Triple..." The aura exploding in a trail from Tsurugi's feet.
"Doom!" He yelled now right behind Kiwi.
His arm cocked back with his Spear to get all his strength into this attack as he began to swing it hard and heavy it cutting through the air like nothing. No resistence pushing back against his spear whatsoever.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 01:03 AM (GMT)
The vile having nailed Kiwi in the confusion, he was now tainted with the dreaded substance that lowered his defense. He takes a deep breath, thinking that Tsurugi can't be too far behind that bottle and must be planning an assault. Still kneeled on the floor, he'd be a vulnerable target. His right hand digs into his jacket of tricks once more, frantically searching for a new trick. Sweat slides down his forehead, his heart pounding with the footsteps of his incoming opponent. As he drags his sword to his left with his left hand, he catches sight of a horror. Tsurugi's shadow looms over him, spear pulled back while his powerful Triple Doom attack charges. With only seconds to make a move, he formulates a new plan to use. Since movement in any direction away from Tsurugi would mean taking a few hits, the best option was to do the opposite. Kiwi's right hand comes out of his jacket while wielding a new trick. He uses his high speed and kneeled position on the floor to spring towards Tsurugi. His right arm stretched out, holding onto a new card. This one is the same size as the Dark Night card, yet looked different. Its image was that of a hooded man who holds a scythe, with the words 'The Death' imprinted below this image. Kiwi's attack would be probably unavoidable, as Tsurugi was poised to strike him and not escape. His spring sends him into his opponent, scoring a headbutt in hiss stomach. As he impacts, he feels a spear slice at his left arm and winces in pain.
"THE DEATH," he shouts in pain.
He tries sticking the card onto Tsurugi's body, but is unsure of it making contact since his opponent is probably falling back from the headbutt. Should it hit, the card would inflict Tsurugi with painful poison. Should it miss, the card should remain in his hand without fading. Wasting no time, Kiwi tells himself within his own mind to run off to the right the moment he can.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 01:45 AM (GMT)
Feeling a push on the end of his spear from the hits that he was dealing to Kiwi. Suddenly feeling the blow from Kiwi's headbutt hitting into his chest inclined his feet backwards almost causing his body to giveway from the ground. Tsurugi's teeth clenching together trying his hardest to hold himself straight and balanced. Instantly he feels something, his eyes moving down seeing the card that was now attached to his chest. The card stuck on his armor and slowly began to glow, Tsurugi let somewhat of a yell out still managing to keep to his feet. As the card expanded and glew his armor began to glow as well. To the eye it seemed to be as if the card was causing a spread of poison over his body. The armor on Tsurugi's chest illuminating now all the way the card flapping violently from the pure magick. Though for some reason like the last card this one wasn't disappearing annd nothing was summoning. Now his armors illumination was beginning to change color and the serene color skimmed down his whole armor and the card Kiwi placed on his chest. In a sudden slash a noise is heard and the card breaks from his chest and disentegrates into little pixels. Tsurugi forgot that his Kagayuzen brought up his body and spirit and also added a no damage effect, and it seemed Tsurugi lucked out this time and watching as Kiwi was still forced back from Tsurugi's own blow obvious his next action would be to run away, Tsurugi immediately leaned his body foward keeping his balance immediately weaving his body to the left and right leaving it impossible to predict his next attack. Tsurugi's body slowly lanked downwards before his knees bent and his body gave a half spring lifting him barely off the ground one foot pushing onto Kiwi's chest half leaned back from his kneeling position. Tsurugi then pushed back onto Kiwi hoping the force send him into the ground as he managed to pull off a backflip his body twisting backwards his back arching all the wall almost touching his head as he brought his spear along with him managing a slash though not sure if it hit or not from his eyes staring at the ground seeing as he was in the middle of a backflip. Not really caring as his feet managed to pad to the ground in a kneeling position his body turning quickly his hand jolting out from behind him with a small bottle in his hand. His eyes skimming over Kiwi's kneeled position as he drank the substance in the bottle. It being a mages soul and instantly feeling a serge run over his body and a blue aura shine and glimmer off him. His sp fully returned now his eyes narrowing at Kiwi noticing his hands to his side, a purple aura immediately trailing right after the blue one almost blending in before it takes over completely as it spreads around like blood rushing through veins.
"Miu Lei" Tsurugi says sturnly.
A purplish gas swirls around Kiwi's knelt body and almost seems to run into his nose as it surrounds his body in a cloudy mess leaving only a shadow of him for Tsurugi to see any of his movements.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 02:16 AM (GMT)
"Damn, the poison failed to take effect," Kiwi thinks.
Realizing that Tsurugi plans to get him high on Miu Lei, Kiwi whips his right hand up quickly to draw out his secret stash. Though his opponent is still drinking a Mage's Soul, he already knows what's going to happen. The abrupt motion of his right hand causes a Health Potion to stick out through the jacket's right sleeve.
"Emergency reserve," says Kiwi to himself.
He flings it up high into the air, the purple smoke already snaking up his body. To Tsurugi, the flying Health Potion must seem like a crazy idea from a desperate player. Since he cannot escape the smoke in time, Kiwi breathes it in purposely. It only takes a few moments before he stands up before his opponent, the charm effect making him a brainless zombie. As he stood, a Dark Night card fell from his jacket and remained on the grass. His left holds onto his sword firmly, but does not point it at Tsurugi. The silence that enveloped the area while Kiwi was being charmed is broken by the falling Health Potion. Coming back from its trip into the air, the potion shatters on Kiwi's head. It manages to heal his previous wounds, yet he does not flinch.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 02:34 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi tilted his head watching Kiwi toss the bottle into the air. His eyes followed it completely, realizing that he left himself vulnerable he looked back to Kiwi. He stared as Kiwi was acting funny and instead of attack he just walked around aimlessly. He realized that his attack must of worked and caused charm on him and now he was just a sitting duck, and without anyone around to heal him it was over. Tsurugi used up most of his sp on the last spell he cast, he used 40 and now only had about 5 left, he figured he needed atleast another 5 before he could finish off Kiwi for good. Tsurugi's eyes shift downwards following the card that fell to the ground, his eyes narrowed and the glow in them seemed to die down just slightly. Tsurugi walked slowly over to Kiwi and knealt down and picked up the card, he looked back up to Kiwi as he was just staring aimlessly looking around. He stood back slowly and held onto the card figuring he'll return it after the match.
"Sorry my friend..." Tsurugi said calmly.
After that Tsurugi raised his arm in the air and brought down his spear across his chest ripping part of his clothing. He then arched his join where his elbow is and let the bottom end come up slamming under his jaw sending him stumbling backwards. Tsurugi realized slowly his sp was raising slowly and his lips curled into a grin once more as he walked over to him once more turning his arm to the side and slashed diagonlly downwards over his shoulder and then the other way across his legs knowing though this is painful to watch Tsurugi is so out of it he wouldn't feel it till it was over. Tsurugi continued his onslaught for about another 40 seconds before his sp recharged to about 13. Realizing this went on for too long he cocked back his body his legs seperating slowly as he got into a stance and the aura slowly swirled from his feet the intriqute design widening and then fading into the ground slowly.
"Triple Doom..." He almost said regretfully..
His arm flexed and the muscle in his arm become more apparent as his arm folded close to each other bringing his spear downwards hard and then back the other way his eyes slowly closing not wanting to see this for too long. He finished off his blows and just stood there his eyes still closed and everything seemed to be in total silence.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 02:54 AM (GMT)
The mindless zombie act had been a facade all along, as Kiwi had taken a small precaution against being charmed. He was taught that one who is charmed will be released from the ailment's seductive grip if he is hit by something other than a spell. When he threw his potion into the air, his plan had always been to cause this without attracting attention. Unfortunately, the potion had failed to jolt him out of his stupefied state. By dumb luck, Tsurugi seemed to be unfamiliar with this rule though. When his opponent stabbed him a few times, Kiwi was shoved abruptly out of his charm state. Not willing to reveal this, he let his jaw be smacked painfully and stumbled back like a good zombie. He was rather irritated that his red shirt was torn and a button had been blown of his jacket.
"Repth," Kiwi whispered.
Once Tsurugi began summoning Triple Doom, he quickly held his breath and concentrated. His SP diminished by 10, leaving him with 28 SP. The effects of Repth spread from his hands, which had joined together to hold his sword, to the rest of his body in a warm white wave. Tsurugi's onslaught about to begin, Kiwi's hands quickly turn the sword so that he holds it by the blade. The hilt now like the tip of the sword, he tediously blocks Tsurugi's blows as quietly as he can. Even with his heightened speed, it's difficult to handle the sword by its edge and try not to be cut. Once the attack ends, a grin moves across Kiwi's lips.
"DARK NIGHT," he shouts.
The shout shatters Tsurugi's silence and surprises him, since up until now Kiwi had managed to keep him under a false sense of security. He almost felt guilty for using this tactic. He hops back and brings his sword down, slashing the Dark Night card that Tsurugi had so predictably picked up from the floor. It fades into dust, Kiwi having succesfully summoned it. Now the ground would shake, signaling the coming of a large restless hand.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 03:22 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi's lips curled into a grin, an almost wry one as he began to laugh as the hand emerged from the ground curling around Tsurugi's body.
"Kiwi my friend...I can't believe you let me hit you." Tsurugi chuckled as it became muffled from the hand closing around his body.
A scream was heard as the hand collapsed around Tsurugi's body a glow from the cracks of the large fingers showed a small attack being dealt to Tsurugi inside of it. The yell got louder as it clenched around his body dealing plent of damage to him. Suddenly that silence returned and the hand loosented up acting as a egg with something inside. Though eggs give live and not death...inside the darkness that grin still played on Tsurugi's lips though Kiwi couldn't see it. He reached behind him in the darkness and pulled out a health drink instantly drinking it within the shelter of the hand his wounds instantly healed as he let out a sigh from the relief of the pain. The fingers slowly began to seperate and this egg was finally giving birth to something, life, something that meant alive and not dead, a wonderous thing still hidden within. Tsurugi shook his head as he stood there waiting for the hand to release him, clenching his spear closer to his body, his hand tucked into his sash slightly as the light began to increase through the cracks of the opening hand. With a loud crash the hand instantly opened and with a quick burst almost sending the hand forcefully into the ground Tsurugi flipped high into the air having about 3 sp left and needing it to build up more. He spiraled into the air and his body twisted his body landing landing directly infront of Kiwi's his foot extended between his somewhat allowing it to tuck behind Kiwi's right foot knowing if he was to step back it would cause him to trip and fall to the side leaving his neck open for a devastating blow. His other arm bringing in the spear from the other end it being in the right position to be headed over his chest or if he tried to move his side or neck.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
As the hand held the frizzled Tsurugi within its dark prison, Kiwi readied another attack. He quietly drew out another Dark Night card with his right hand. He observed the image momentarily, then threw is carefully into the air. His right hand joined the left again upon the swords hilt, raising it so that he could slash the descending card. It was unfortunate for Tsurugi to have chosen to land in such a manner, as Kiwi's blade had been pulled back and was ready to slice the card. Compensating for Tsurugi's move, Kiwi turned his sword to its broad side. The innocent card had fluttered between the two fighters, giving Kiwi a great chance.
"Dark Night," he shouted with a grin.
He had taken control of the situation, refusing to succumb to the panic of his opponent being right in front of him. He swung with the broad side of his blade, a powerful force striking the card. It is dragged along the sword's path, striking Tsurugi and bluntly shoving him across the floor. The magical card broke into ashes and disappeared, causing the ground to shake under Tsurugi's fallen body. His heart pounded distractingly, the chance of victory gleeming at him like a light at the end of a tunnel. Concentrating on his spell, Kiwi calmly meditated on bringing forth another hellish grabber.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 03:56 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi feeling the blow from the heavy blade managed to catch it with the metal of his spear so it didn't do any damage just a block was enstowed upon the blow. As he fell back his foot pulled on Kiwi's foot that was locked with Tsurugi's causing it to pull from under his body and Kiwi to somewhat trip as his body flew backwards. As his body hit the ground his ears slightly heard him call out and knew what he was going for. His hand planted slightly on the ground as the hand began to emerge it so fast in an instant it was apparent that Tsurugi was caught in the mighty hand. Though his movements were too fast and in face his hand pushed him back barely dodging the attack and landing behind the might fist that seemed to punch through the ground upearthing the ground. Tsurugi knelt there hiding behind the hand knowing Kiwi pulled that trick with the charm effect and now he would return the favor. His sp was about 7 now as he kept his knelting position just thinking about what he'll do for his next blow. His sp slowly regenerating as he kept silent and just leaned foward hearing the noises from the attack that should of been hitting him. His eyes narrowed as the hand slowly began to rumble as if it was going to open he slowly turned his body and quickly darted from behind it to the side his motion barely visable. His body lanking down and then up bringing his spear up wanting to slash towards his neck to maybe get a critical hit. A small yellow aura glowing around his body as a backup it trailing like the wind behind him fading and disappearing into the air.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 04:17 AM (GMT)
Kiwi was fully concentrated upon the movements of his large grotesque dark hand like a puppeteer and his puppet, even as his Ap Do faded away. He was confident that if he should keep up the pace, victory would be at hand. He made sure to squeeze tightly with the devil digits, though something odd pierced through his concentration. Unlike the last time, there were no screams emerging from the attack zone. The hand bursts open prematurely at his command, only to reveal no prisoner. A droplet of nervous sweat slides down Kiwi's forehead as he looks around frantically for where Tsurugi might have gone.
"Where the hell did he go," he asks himself.
Suddenly, a glimmering metal thrusts out of nowhere and rushes to his neck. He sidesteps quickly, remembering he no longer has his heightened velocity and must be careful. At the other end of the spear that charged in is Tsurugi, suddenly finding himself in a predicament. Kiwi puts his sword up to his opponent's chest, glaring at him.
"One move and I stab you dead. Odds are, I can use my death effect," he says menacingly.
They remain still a moment, the threat of mutual annihilation keeping them tense. He believed that maybe he could spare Tsurugi the trouble of being stabbed.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 04:29 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi stopped his arm and just stood there the tip of his spears blade to Kiwi's throat and pushing slightly. Though he felt the heavy tip of Kiw's blade as well against his chest.
"I'd already slit your throat by the time you stabbed me.." Tsurugi says standing there quietly.
He wonders if Kiwi caught notice to the yellow trail he had left and wondered if he had even understood that he had enough time to regain his sp. Tsurugi looked down and then back up to Kiwi keeping the spear to his neck holding his position as he soft spoke.
"Rai..." His voice echoed somewhat as he spoke.
Tsurugi stood there getting ready to summon his spell. As he made sure he wouldn't go anywhere without being run through by his spear. The ground began to turn yellow once more the archaic symbol surrounding underneath both their bodies as his he could notice Kiwi getting a little nervous. He kept him at bay and still as the yellow aura began to swirl around both there bodies that yellow glittery light swaying majestically across the ground blending in with the dirt somewhat. They both stood there motionless as the acrylic type symbol imbedded slowly into the ground and began to disappear the only thing next was what's worse to come.

Maintaining his cool, Kiwi removes his left hand from his sword while gripping it tightly with his right hand. He brings his left hand up a moment, then swings it down hard and forces a card to stick out from his sleeve. Calmly but urgently drawing it out from his sleeve, he gets a final glance at his last Dark Night card. In the name of self-preservation, he slowly carries it between his index finger and middle finger towards his blade. Since he cannot bring the blade to the card, he will bring the card to the blade.
"Dark Night," he says while watching Tsurugi carefully for any chance of him having a death wish.
He drags the card along the sword's edge, tearing it in two. The pieces fall and quickly become ashes, causing the ground to shake. As the golden crest of Rai Rom shines under his feet, its intricate patterns spinning and releasing shining orbs, a last dark hand tears through the earth. It emerges with the thunderous rupturing of the ground, wrapping its hideous digits around the two fighters while lighting bolts zip around chaotically in a tornado. The hand's skin sizzles and crumbles as the thunder spell comes to a close. Both fighters emerge unharmed, still locked in their stalemate with blades keeping each other from even sneezing.
"I'm out of card tricks. I believe at this point that a truce would prevent our mutual extinction," Kiwi admits quietly.
His hand shakes softly from nervousness, though he seems honestly willing to do as he said and slowly pulls back his sword.
Tsurugi - July 3, 2003 05:03 AM (GMT)
Tsurugi's eyes narrowed watching him summon the card. He knew it was his last one and closed his eyes knowing his Rai Rom would be canceled out by this dark hand of his. He stood there in horror as it grabbed them both but instantly was disentagrated into dust both spells countering each other. Their bodies both in the same position Tsurugi's breath shallow so it does not pertrude his chest out any further as to be stabbed into the blade.
"I think your right...." Tsurugi said calmly.
Tsurugi slowly became less tense as he stood there his eyes staying locked on Kiwi's incase anything might change this outcome. He slowly began to lower he free arm as to not cause a distraction.
"I'm going to pull away slowly.." Tsurugi said his arm shifting down to his side.
Slowly the tip of the spears blade lowered from Kiwi's skin leaving it untainted by his blood but a small red mark from the pressure he was applying. Tsurugi then slowly stepped back his feet padding agains the ground softly his footsteps barely heard as he stood there infront of Kiwi just watching him. His right arm free dangling to his side and his left curled around his spear just standing there in the wonderous silence.
"A draw then..?" Tsurugi asks calmly.
KamiKazeKiwi3 - July 3, 2003 05:19 AM (GMT)
Kiwi bows out of respect and then nods in agreement.
"Yes, a draw," he calmly confirms.
He sheathes his sword, no longer needing it and effectively allowing it to go back to sleep. Looking around, he has a last view of the simple grassy plain which the two fighters single-handedly churned apart with their attacks. A few large holes are around, the result of their Rai Rom and Dark Night spells.
