Whether it is forest or Hell...enjoy your battlefield.
Taro ground his teeth as he glanced around at the battlefield. The entire place was exactly how he wanted it to be: nice and gloomy. Taro fingered the hilt of his Earth sword eagerly as he waited for his opponent. This was just a friendly battle, but Taro was going to have to push himself to keep up with his opponent. Taro started to sweat as he thought about the coming battle. Maybe I shouldn't have done this. The heavy blade shook off his anxiety quickly and smacked himself in the face to hype himself up a bit. Without thinking Taro unsheathed his sword and began slashing wildly around himself. He had to struggle to calm down and he sat down on a fallen tree nearby and continued his wait for beginning of the battle.
Ryu stood there, knee’s flying staring off into the river flowing under the main bridge in Mac Anu; never ceasing, unable to stop; an embodiment of water, but a train stuck to it’s tracks. He opened his legs wide, sliding both his arms on the sides of his leg, brushing upon the brim of his tight blue jeans, so tightly bound to his legs it felt like just another layer of skin veiled over his body. He gently and softly touched the frigid metal railing he sat upon, hooking his index and middle fingers upon that railing, fingers from both hands clasping it ever so tightly; his hooking so well bound the little rust residing on the elderly railing smeared onto those same fingers.
…So, today I’m going at another duel… and another new one amongst “The World it is.” Heh, though the last one, Vahn Iceblade was it? I stood up…ha-ha. Well, now that I think about it, I did that to my last opponent as well. Is there a record for most deserted duels?
Duels? Hm, surprised I never heard about them in “The World” before. How can you pass up the opportunity to slice and dice players into bowls of soup? Man, that’d be fun, not to mention tasty.
I really don’t know. Duels…just never appealed to me that much I guess…
More like you’re too lazy to get to them…or your scared.
Kageryu squinted his eyes slightly, a blank expression taking control over his face. The silent and stealthy winds blew it’s warm breathe in his face, raising each and every strand of snow white hair flowing over his cocoanut colored forehead raising upwards, flowing to the side gently and slowly, nearing to that of a flag squirming like a worm through the air in the mid-summer breeze. He watched each wave of water topple over one another, over and over, the bigger waves merely pouncing like lions upon its prey.
Scared…maybe I am, just a little bit. Scared of…scared of actually hurting someone ya know? Even if it was intended to be fun and games…many things can get into ones head on the battle field.
…If that isn’t the biggest pile of bull I’ve ever heard in my goddamn life. If you don’t want to fight then don’t, but you shouldn’t sit here speaking about something you know nothing about. You’re still new to the field of battle, I know for a fact you haven’t been to a field in a long time.
You know what, your right…however; you have no life…Just to clarify things…
A smile was sewed across Ryu’s face, carefully stitched in; the Blademaster a newly made doll ready to go on sale. He stretched his dragon wings outwards, raising them upwards slowly, stroking them to the side slowly like a black crow laying rest on a tree branch. He squinted his eyes even more, so much so one might think he was staring into the sun as if daring for it to blind him. But, the sun was setting, it drowning Mac Anu into a series of shadows, the sky burning an orange colored dim lit flare; as if a Phoenix took flight through sky dark, leaving the midst of that sky, letting it blemish that same darkness once more.
“Maybe he’s right…maybe I am being a hypocrite. Heh, haven’t even finished a single one of the duels I agreed to.” Slowly, closing his ever so slowly the Blademaster let his flame for a smile die quietly, dying into nothing other then a low devious smirk.
“This’ll be different…”
Letting himself fall forward easily, his entire body falling forward pushed the wind flying ever so freely around to the side. The passing air came seeping into his clothing, past his vest, through the white fluffy material binding around the brim of his vest; the wind tickling his wings etched out, like a parent it’s new born baby, lightly touching under it’s chin, skin soft and warm.
It was as if the cries, laughter, and chatter of all those that rushed throughout the server in their hustle and bustle was never apparent toward the Blademaster, nothing else of existence besides all he witnessed and thought before. The train of a river waves overlapping one another, the sun setting the orange fiery phoenix flame’s as but a glimmer of a reflection at the upper brim of the embodiment of water, and Kageryu; him looking at his reflection in the water, toppling forward quickly yet slow, him and that reflection coming into an unwanted clash…
Suicide…an in game suicide…
He closed his eyes, this time fully, effortlessly unsheathing his Unicorn Blade. He twisted his arm around quickly, bringing the thought that flew through his mind at that second to play, the suicide beckoning hither. After twisting his arm around forward he twisted his wrist upward, there after slightly bringing his fingers to his right only slightly brushing the brim of his neck, yet, that power alone was enough to leave him breathless, his corpse all that was left, falling into the embodiment of water with a splash…
Is that…is that how it really feels, to die…?
His eyes opened quickly, a breathe escaping from his mouth with his mouth opened wide; all that happening not even within his control. His entirely body was trembling, from head to toe, even his eyes on edge, seeing nothing, everything but a blur. “As I thought…rather hoped,” he started, shaking his head vigorously letting a deep sigh jet from between his lips, those lips curving into a smile, him slouching ever so slightly closing his eyes all in the same motion. “A death resulting into a spawning by the Chaos Gate. What a friggin’ life saver from those goddamn senseless newbs packing the streets.” He opened his eyes again, output at a minimum, the whizzing sound of the Chaos Gate swirling around in circles buzzing through his ear like an annoying bee. He turned toward the gate, that devious smirk a spider and his face a wall, that spider crawling onto the wall cradling a silky stringy web from its edges.
And now, the duel…
’Bout friggin’ time. You know, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re like listed to be picked for duels just for a win by default. “Kageryu the sure thing!” Now, that’d be something to see.
…Shut up for once…
Think of a comeback for once. Even an elementary insult will get me all giddy inside.
Brushing off Oniryu’s comment like a bad habit of smoking Ryu looked at the gate even harder, knowing exactly what keywords to announce, those keywords supposedly supposed to bring the golden brimmed gate’s dance to a stop. He opened his mouth carefully and steadily, letting the words ”Dog Dancing Hidden Fertile Land,” jet from the bowls of his throat like fire from a flamethrower.
The three golden rings came out of nowhere, mid-air, hovering over the winged Blademaster’s head. Each ring plummeted downwards magnetically, circling the Blademaster like a lion its prey. That lion pounced, swallowing its prey one and whole; the golden rings swallowing Ryu’s digital body by the molecule, materializing his body bit by bit on the field, his and his opponent’s playground for death.
The lion digested the being he feasted upon beforehand; the golden rings spitting Ryu’s body back out as easily as they each swallowed one section of his body. Toodles…
He eyed his surroundings ever so carefully, him surrounded in a never ending series of tree’s, each tree seeming to slither like snakes, hissing, bringing their fangs in clear view, their demonism clear in the same dim lit gloomy sky that beckoned in Mac Anu. Ryu scanned the area even closer, his eyes in a squint once more, his stare sublime, as if he was in a staring contest. Where the hell…is my opponent… He shook his head moronically, smiling again chuckling to himself silently, in utter disbelief of what he was to do. If ya can’t find him, call him…
“Yoo-hoo! Mr. Duelist! Where art thou? I have the great cheerio’s cereal…yet, I have no milk. It ish veddy
tasty! If you bring the milk I’ll share a bowl!” His voice bounced off each tree and thing standing firm and solid, setting off a ripple like effect; his voice echoing louder instead of softer(even if it isn’t possible XD).
This guy better come out…
What if he doesn’t?
Then I’ll…eat cheerios without milk.
…Um, I was expecting more towards the lines of seeking him out, or just maybe using a Fairy’s Orb…
Or, I could have a DANCE PARTY!
…Or not…
