Title: Santaria's Court
Description: Come here to visit Santaria

Santaria - July 4, 2003 07:10 AM (GMT)
Hey all! I spiffy new board for me to play in! Weeee! Well, I have big news
going on in my life! I got a job as assistant manager at a group home for people
with disabilities. It is not my dream job, but I'm happy with it for now! It will
be nice to just sit tight and make some money for awhile! Yeah!

Merin Sun - July 4, 2003 03:51 PM (GMT)
Congratulations!!!

Do you like the people at least???

what are your duties???

Santaria - July 5, 2003 06:46 AM (GMT)
Well, I have yet to be fully orientated into the job, but I will be doing some basic management of the group home, including budgeting, running day programs, meals, staffing as well as record keeping. One of the major things will be mediating staff issues. Anyway, I think I can do it (or I hope I can since they hired me).

Today I got a sunburn :( It's hurting. I was planning on having fun with this new board tonight, but now I'm tired from too much sun, so I might not be able to.

I'm mad tonight because my sister who has been in Taiwan for the past year is not going to be there this weekend when I go to visit my family. Actually she is coming to my town but couldn't even phone to tell me. Actually, she is here right now, visiting friends!! I'm offended. She should at least call! What do you guys think??

Matrim Cauthon - July 5, 2003 07:17 AM (GMT)
I think we should cut off the more disreputable parts of the body and use the surface as playing fields.

Merin Sun - July 6, 2003 08:39 PM (GMT)
what???

:hmm:

Matrim Cauthon - July 6, 2003 10:39 PM (GMT)
Monty Python.............sorry.

Merin Sun - July 7, 2003 04:28 AM (GMT)
oooh...

all my Monty Python knowledge is limited to the Holy Graile, a bit of The Life of Brian and a couple of Flying Circus skits.

Matrim Cauthon - July 7, 2003 05:10 AM (GMT)
If it's Python I know it. Seriously. The above quote was just a random quote from one of the Flying Circus episodes.

Susan - July 7, 2003 07:03 AM (GMT)
Yay, a site specifically for women!

Santaria - July 8, 2003 05:19 AM (GMT)
Hey, are you the same Susan whose board I visited the other day? About the books? Monty Python seems like funny stuff, but I've never watched much of it, I should do that sometime!

Matrim Cauthon - July 8, 2003 06:42 AM (GMT)
Yes, you should. Make it a priority.....NOW!

*Looks at Susan's 'Just for Women' comment* What the...............

Ghostdriver5 - July 8, 2003 06:51 PM (GMT)
Yep, Santy - that is indeed the same Susan/Susie - who was, incidentally, one of the like 5 first posters at Stonedog's waaaay back when.

Now, as for the important stuff - "Everyone" *Points to Santaria* One Word: 'Stunning'

Susan - July 9, 2003 02:20 AM (GMT)
yep its me...

and I began on January 9, the year 2000

Ghostdriver5 - July 9, 2003 03:47 AM (GMT)
I know - I remember:D But I was just a sad, lonely lurker back then. :pooryou

Susan - July 9, 2003 04:33 AM (GMT)
that is said ;)

Merin Sun - July 12, 2003 07:13 PM (GMT)
Not SOOOOOOOO sad...

lol...

I mean, I lurked AND sent off terrible emails to Stonedog...

Ghostdriver5 - July 14, 2003 02:48 AM (GMT)
You got that right - I read one of those emails and I'm STILL wincing!!! :P

Susan - July 14, 2003 07:39 AM (GMT)
Whats so wrong with that??

Merin Sun - July 15, 2003 01:13 AM (GMT)
sending terrible emails???

Well...for one thing certain ppl never let you live it down ;)

and that they really were terrible :|

Susan - July 15, 2003 03:12 AM (GMT)
You have my admiration!

Santaria - July 15, 2003 05:38 AM (GMT)
Oh I remember Susan! I don't think I was a member yet though, not even a lurker! I was still finishing the series! I remember when you posted those e-mails Merin! They were quite hilarious! Suddenly Stonedogs attempts to cut down on his e-mails made sense! It's only because you are a brave woman though!

Santaria - July 15, 2003 05:54 AM (GMT)
Oh, I almost forgot my hiking story.
So me and my bf want to do something special to celebrate being together for 5 years, so we decide to hike Cape Scott which is at the very northern tip of Vancouver Island. I had never done such a long overnight hike before and it was grueling near the end. 5 1/2 hours! But then we camped on the beach for 2 nights! The worse part was on the way back because it was raining and the mud almost sucked me up! I swear! I slipped and I was up to my shins in mud. The first foot came out okay, but then I couldn't pull out the second one! I tried and tried and the mud just kept making squelchy noises at me! Finally it release me!

So there's my story! Anybody have a camping or adventure type story to share? It doesn't even have to be that adventurous, just share a story!

Ghostdriver5 - July 15, 2003 07:26 PM (GMT)
I watch the discovery channel alot. Does that count???

Santaria - July 16, 2003 07:41 AM (GMT)
Hey look, your my fantastic fellow! Anyway, Ghostie you didn't even post a story! You can talk about the hurricane that's raging around you! Come on, someone tell a story! You'll get a special kiss from me!

Santaria - July 20, 2003 01:54 AM (GMT)
What, no stories? Come one, you'll get a Santaria kiss!

Faeble - July 20, 2003 02:44 AM (GMT)
Hey Santaria! :hail:

Hehe....I'd tell a camping story, but I don't have any. *lol* I've only been, I think, maybe twice. ;)

Santaria - August 16, 2003 03:52 AM (GMT)
Hey Merin, why do I keep posting but it always says that I have 169 posts??

Why wouldn't they be cool with it, your not that young are you? How old are you again? If your old enough, then what can you do? And you can always say your out spendign the night at a friends house, unless of course you parents call that friend like mine did. Biches! So glad I am out of the power grip!

Santaria - July 28, 2003 06:16 AM (GMT)
Hey, you do have a sexy avatar, maybe I'll give you a kiss anyway!

*smooch*

Merin Sun - July 28, 2003 05:29 PM (GMT)
Oorla has a camping story but she won't share it :(

Santaria - July 29, 2003 05:07 PM (GMT)
Aww, come on. Share Oorla!!

KaneDragon - July 29, 2003 07:50 PM (GMT)
I don't really have a camping story to tell... I'm just here for the snuggles. :ohwell:

Merin Sun - July 30, 2003 02:10 AM (GMT)
I don't do snuggles...I just do huggles :yeah:

Anyway...I have a camping story!!!

My family and I went camping in these woods but it was raining really badly. I remember sleeping in the puddle in the middle of the tent b/c my siblings tricked me into sleeping there :(. It was bad...there were soggy crackers in there too :(.

Anyway...it rained a really long time and then my parents packed us up to leave and that's when we found out that there was a tornado ripping through the area :P

I remember watching the lake's waves crash up near the road.

It was terrifying yet really cool. B)

Santaria - August 4, 2003 02:26 AM (GMT)
Wow, that's probably the scariest camping story that I've ever heard off. And I've been there about the puddle thing. That happened to me once and we had biked into the campsite and didn't have a dry car to go into. We had to bike up home! Thankfully, it stopped raining!

Well, my summer's pretty much over now that I have this full time job, but I think I did well since I went camping about 4 times. Maybe I'll even go for one more night soon.

Merin Sun - August 4, 2003 04:11 AM (GMT)
I haven't camped this year :(

But I really really really want to!!!

I wonder if my parents would be cool with the idea of Kundor and I spending the night at a camp ground :P

Merin Sun - August 16, 2003 05:30 AM (GMT)
Well...they could a lot...like kick me out of the house :\

And your post count says 173...???

And I'm 19, so is Kundor...still...they could kick me out of the house or refuse to help pay my college tuition or any number of things, really :P

Santaria - August 18, 2003 12:07 AM (GMT)
Oh, I get the post thing now. Ermm, right, I can be smart sometimes, really people!

True, it is never good to alienate your family, but you are 19, so from my perspective, it's hard to see why not? they would have a problem with you spending the night with your boyfriend. But I guess all families are different.

omichyron - August 18, 2003 03:35 AM (GMT)
this is why not? I'm glad I won't be living with my parents anymore, starting this Thursday :D

Merin Sun - August 19, 2003 03:04 AM (GMT)
Well...seeing as how my parents pay for a bunch of my crap and don't expect me to pay them back...I think I'll stick with them :D

Especially since I am so terrible at paying bills :hmm2: I'd never survive out on my own...lol...

Santaria - August 22, 2003 09:09 PM (GMT)
I was so happy when I moved out of home to go to school. I couldn't take my parents telling me what to do anymore!! Drive me crazy! But now I realize that there are a lot of advantages to staying at home. You basically have it made with them paying for stuff, making food a fridge full of food all the time! Sweet! Yes, appreciate it while you have it.

Santaria - November 17, 2003 06:44 AM (GMT)
Wow, I haven't been here in awhile! I've been really busy, I'm thiking about
going to law school so I'm studying for the LSAT, which is really hard. I just want
to get it over and done with! I just had some much needed time off! I visited some friends and also spent two nights at a private cabin with my significant other. It was very nice and also explored the Island we were on called Galiano. Now I'm sad that I have to return to work already tomorow:( but you can't be on holiday forever! Now I'm here to catch up with all of you guys!
