We here at Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide have learned many things as this forum has grown and progressed. This board has septupled in size in less than a year. It has expanded to other things beside Cartoon Orbit. It has a extremely good core membership.

From this knowledge we will be making changes and improvements to the forums in the new year. In order to implement new systems and benfits to members we are working on, we will be dissolving the old systems that are already in place.

What does this mean for you? At the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve we will begin the new year by removing the VIP and Premium Member status tags from all forum members. We will then, in the coming days, announce a revamped system and begin the process of reconstructing both groups in this new image. Hang on tight, kiddies. This is going to be a fun year.

We welcome questions and comments below, but we are leaving much of what will be happening, the details, as a surprise. Have a happy and safe holiday season.

are we still gonna be able to have our own member title under our ava's?

That benefit I am assuming will disappear as the titles do. But this will be a feature again for Premium Status when we revamp it, more details to follow.

The VIP and PM groups. We are not changing the atmophere of the board, we are better organizing the forums, adding features, and making title status more of a benefit.

But how do you know you're going to get it back? How does anyone but the mods and admin know who is going to get what? You may not BECOME a premium member again, although I think custom titles can only be determined by number of posts anyway, so nevermind.

Baby Steps here people. 1st we revamp the VIP/PM sections and then we can look at other options. The Mods are not on trial here. As for the post count resetting, post counts are for the most part nothing more than just a count of how many posts you have made. We will not be resetting them at this time because there isn't any real reason to do so. They don't serve any real purpose except to show how many posts a person has made on these forums.

I've chimed in on this subject more than once and those of you who have read my posts in the past know where I am coming from on this one. You can stop asking for details on the new VIP and PM stuff now because we're not going to be giving that kind of information out now. You'll have to wait for New Years for those details....and we might not even give them out then.

I, personally, think those of you who gain the new VIP/PM titles will like what you see. This is not something we cooked up in a few hours, but more the product of much work. The intention here is to make the two titles into someting special. Nothing against people who are VIPs...but anyone can get that here because it was too easy to get. VIP stands for Very Important Person and it should reflect as such in that sense. Along with that, PM stands for Premium Member. The PMs should represent the actual Premium Members of this forum and be a celebrated title to those who are awarded it for their contributions to the betterment and furtherment of these forums.

In a nutshell, the days of post post post post title post post post title are going to die and we will usher in a new age where members are held to higher standards...but given better rewards for their outstanding service to helping this forum grow into something better than the sum of it's posts. ;)

So strap in, hang on tight, and be ready for a ride...because 2005 will shape up to be an interesting year on Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide. :angel:

Yay, I think there should be no post count period... I there any way to make it dissapear? I think seeing who you guys think are really premuim members should be VERY interesting, I cannot wait. I think this is all good lol. But really... The mods should be reconsidered also, putting the members on trial=putting the mods on trial. I mean really, recruit two people that can do a better job then Inuyasa or Gogeta, they just plain out arent on enough, people could be doing a better job than them
