Born and raised in the city of New Bedford, you long to leave it's somewhat mean streets. You are curretnly a student at UMASS - Dartmouth, the first of your family to attend.

Your family is typical New Bedford. Your Pa split when you were 3. You were raised with 6 brothers and sisters. 1 is dead from a driveby. You live in public housing (United Front Projects). You can't wait to to get your break and make the big money.

Speaking of big money, you are surprised on afternoon, when you return home from school (just before your part time job at Best Buy) to find a letter from the estate of Dr. Phineus World. You saw a ad in the UMASS newpaper, the Torch, about a month ago looking for people to enter a contest to win Dr. Worlds Billions. You entered, never expceting to hear back. But hear is the envelope:

Mr. Henderson,

It is the distinct pleasure of Dr. Phineus World to invite you to a formal party on (weekend date for the coming weekend), at his estate, Ry'leth Manor. RSVPs are required (Information about RSVP'ing follows). The purpose of the praty is for Mr. World to choose his heir. It is invitation only. We expect you there.

UMASS Dartmouth - Ampitheater and Library, like the architecture?

You have a week before the contest. You must at least RSVP. You may do whatever else you please. You have a full slate of classes for this week.

I go see if I can get time off from class if I can I will send a letter saying that I will come.

All you need to do is call to RSVP. You make something up about needind the week off and your Profs give you some work for the next week.

I pick up the phone and look for the number.

You call and a man with a British accent answers the phone. "Dr. World's residence how may I be of assistance?"

Uh, hi. My name is Michael Henderson and I got a letter about a contest.

"yes, will you be attending?"

"Yes, I will."

"Very Good, there will be a formal party this Saturday at 7PM sharp, don't be late. Bring you invitation. Do you need any further assitance?"

"Is their a dress code?"

"Yes, Formal" (sorry I missed that)

"Thank you sir, bye"

*Looks around the place to find a suit.*

You have a very old one that belonged to your father.

The week flies by and you go about your business. It is now Saturday several hours before the party. Is there anything you need to do to prepare for the event? If not what are you wearing to the event, and what are you bringing?

I get the suit cleaned up, and see if their is another business to attend to.

The suit you get cleaned, and no business other than the usual. Are you ready for the party?

Notifies friends and family of being gone. Then gets ready to leave.

So you wear the suit, what do you bring with you?

Is their a list of requierd items?

No, just the invitation

Um...exactly what stuff does my character owns?

Make a list of what you want, and based upon your wealth scores will determine wether or not you own/have access to it.

Suppose that my character is in a journalism class? Then can I bring a notepad, pencil, and a camera?

Yes, you have access to all of that.

Okay then, I put the stuff in a backpack, inuding a wallet,. Head out to the door and...er....does my character at least have a car?

Goes back in and grabs: keys, glasses, and invitation (forgot to add that) then goes into car and drives to the address on envelope.

You get in the old Sh*tbox and head for the adress listed on the invite. Te manor is located off of Russels Mills Rd., in a section of Dartmouth colloquially named Padanaram. Padanaram is the very rich area of Greater New Bedford. The famous come here for summers.

You head into the very wooded neighborhood, and get to within a mile of the manor, and you are shocked to see the streets lined with police, well wishers, and media. You galnce over at the clock, it is 6:52PM, you should have just enough time to make it for 7. You drive past the throngs and see the driveway that the manor is located, you turn down the long driveway and imediately notice media, line both sides. TV cameras and flashbulbs light up. You drive for a pretty good distance and see the hge mansion up ahead. A well dressed man directs your vehicle to a parking area where dozens of veru expensive cars and trucks are parked. An Usher opens you door, and leads you toward the front door. Imediately you are surrounded by cameras, and reporters with microphones . . .

"SIR! CARE TO COMMENT SIR! YOUR NAME FOR OUR VIEWERS AT HOME! HOW ARE YOU FEELING!

"My name is Michael Henderson and I feel like punching some of you if you take pictures and put them in the papers without my permission."

The usher ushers you through the front door, into a huge foyer, you immediately take a left, and enter a large library. There are 10 - 15 other contestants here, and several sevants. You look at you watch it is 6:58PM.

You wake up in a dark 10 x 10' room, on a bed. You are dressed in a Black T-Shirt, camouflaged cargo pants, and military style boots. There is a back pack at the base of the bed. There is a door, directly across form the bed, with a large manilla envelope tacked to it.

(Oh by the way, you can raise you level)

- A Gerber Multi-tool and case (Pliers, several screwdrivers, a knife, saw, can opener, and bottle open, in one tool)
- 20 Power Bars
- A full 1 gal Canteen
- A bottle of Water Purification Pills
- A Pen
- A Small Pad
- A wind/water resistant fleece lined jacket (Camouflage)
- Water resitant gloves
- Compass
- Watch (it is 3:00AM)
