6 months ago got a postion in the New Bedford Police Department in MA. You applied on a whim, seeking new challenges. You were got the job for a number of reason mainly having to do with your expertise in gangs, and experience within the drug trade.

You have fit in well in the department, politics, and business of the city but not as well in the people. The immigrant population of the city trust you very little.

On the postive side, crime, especially gang violence has decreased slightly in the past 3 months, and you have gotten onto several community taks forces to combat the ills of the city.

You get home one evening to your apartment on 556 Orchard Avenue. This is a Beautiful 2 family, located in an old Whaling Mansion. It even has a Copper roof. You begin to go through you mail and a large ornate envelope immediately catches your eye. You open it and read:

It is the distinct pleasure of Dr. Phineus World to invite you to a formal party on (weekend date for the coming weekend), at his estate, Ry'leth Manor. RSVPs are required (Information about RSVP'ing follows). The purpose of the praty is for Mr. World to choose his heir. It is invitation only. We expect you there.

I recieved the letter

You think it might be wise to call the number in the letter to RSVP first.

After im done packing, I call ther number and wait for response

Some cloths, my usual outfit, some doubles, and a formal suit for the heck of it.
I bring a camera, my laptop and my nice Uzi, never go without it, and thats it.

You call, and man with a British Accent answers the phone "Dr. World;s residence, may I help you?"

"AH, Yes, I just recieved an invite to MR. Worlds party,Wil Maverick of New Bedford, just called to confirm my arrival. Can you tell me anything I might need before I leave and would you be kind to tell me who else will be there?"

"I will mark you on the list. It is a formal party, and bring your invitation. As for the guest list, that is private. Would you need anything else sir?"

I hang up the phone and call my police depo.
"Yes, This is Lt. Maverick and Id like to have a computer set aside and get ready for a warrent soon ,ill fill in more detial when I arrive in the next hour...Thanks"

I get ready to leave, I have aa weird feeling bout this

" Just get preparation ready for either house search and/or a permit for weapon carriage, Ill give you the evidence when I arrive but please make sure that computers ready and tell Jackson( some high ranked computer nerd cop) to search Mr. World before I arrive, thanks."

I hang up the phone immediatly and grab my camera cell phone, my wallet with cash/ID, and my Badge and stuff them in diffeerent packets in my big Tan jacket and get onto my Sazuke Motorcyle and put my helmet on a depart for the station.

It takse you 5 minutes to get there.

I park my bike in my preserved garage,I walk in, show my ID and go straight to the files room where Jackson should be waiting

You head up there. . .Jackson is there along with Cheif Kelley.

" What? I cant look up records on the mainframe. OOOOH, the permet, I was just selcted into Mr. Worlds contest and would like to have some protection because the guys a qwack and i dont like him. As for the warrent, thats just so no one will disturb the party, Theres going to be alot of strange people in that building and I dont feel like going threw a gangwar tonight so... whats the records JAckson?"

"You know that you can't so this without a motive! And Dr. World is a very respected man, you'll have a hard time getting a warrant on him."

" Fine, forget the warrent, the permet is all I came for and check some records, who knows what crazy people he's invited to the party and knowing the FBI and other organization, they want in on this to, I just want to prevent a massacure and I came to tell you all Im invited but you no already. So cheif, can you print a permet out and ill be on my way, I wont kill civilians, you no I dont get trigger happy."

You make up some excuse about staking out some gang activity and they give you the permit reluctantly. Luckily you have been a very good cop in the past and that is giving you some credibility.

Jackson could find nothing about the guest list for the party.

I go back to my bike and go back home

You drive to the South Dartmouth Area of Russel Mills Rd. You do know the following about it. It is very Upper Class to Rich. And very old time wooden and farmlike. You get to the area where the mansion is located and it is crowded with people and news media.
