Title: Enigmatic as Ever
Description: aka Where did Enigma vanish off to?

Enigma Zero - October 15, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
I'm afraid the reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Allow me to ellaborate as much as I am able to in this thread...

I was called into work for an assignment. For those of you who do not know I work for the US GOV. I can't say anymore than that so please do not ask. Suffice it to say sometimes I get notice and other times....I have to pack my crap(hope that it's not the day before laundry day) and head out the door in no time. This time, however, I did not have the luxury of the internet.

On some positive notes...
1) I'm back.
2) This only happens a few times a year(knocks on wood)
3) I beat Kingdom Hearts again.
4) I 'think' I am almost finished with Magic Pengel.

Ok, now you know. We now return you to your previously scheduled forum....already in progress.

Actually, this will have been my 3rd time through this game. The secret is to leave it on a shelf to collect dust until you forget most of the content. As for the 4 days comment? On a dare, the second time, I beat the game in 34 hours....without the ability to save until "Final Save". This time, however, I took it easy. I've done 98% of the content. The only thing left.....Sephiroth.

Oh, and about the modding powers and dosage comments. I'm in a quote mood so...

"Look out kids! Joker's back in town and I'm ready to give this old town such a wedgie!" - Joker, Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker Uncut.

Retrogrademotion-/+ - October 19, 2004 10:32 PM (GMT)

gymnast22 - October 19, 2004 10:46 PM (GMT)

^o^ Sherry ^o^ - October 19, 2004 10:52 PM (GMT)
LOL...what is that mean anyway?

gymnast22 - October 19, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
Um, I think it means playa or something

metaspy - October 21, 2004 01:09 PM (GMT)
I played Kingdom Hearts only once before.
I stayed up all night playing, but only made it as far as the first part that allows you to fly to a different section of the space map.
I am not a gamer at all. :(

Crystal Velvet - October 22, 2004 03:43 AM (GMT)
^ Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. Enigma is abnormal when it comes to a lot of things. ;)

Besides, Kingdom Hearts is just one game. The definition of a gamer changes from person to person, but I find that being a gamer means that you like to play lots of games on different consoles. Give more games a try, and don't get knocked down just because one game was a bit tough. I think anyone who just enjoys trying out all kinds of new games is what makes a gamer - it doesn't necessarily mean that you're an ace in all of those games, but that you really enjoy the gaming experience.

Pilaf - October 22, 2004 04:04 AM (GMT)
*gasp* C.V. knows our secret!

I haven't beaten half the games I've played(well, if I owned them I beat them [there are a few exceptions]). Anyway, if you're a gamer you usually have four traits:

1.You are eager to try new games, even if you heard it was bad.

2.You often have a knack for games, you can beat people who own the game even if you've never played it before(Tekken four, anyone?)

3.If given the time, you will try and get every easter egg and bonus in the game. I'm not talking about getting 100% etc., but more like little things that the programmers threw in that aren't part of the game(metal gear solid had a lot of these), or extra story based elements.

4.You will play a game again, after it's been enough time for you to not remember every twist and turn.

Even if you aren't the best at games, the list goes in order...
Practice number one, number two will come along from practice at so many games. Practice number two, and number three will come along because you want to see more of the games that you can play. Practice number three, and number four will come along, because you want to see number three again.

or maybe it's just a gift.

Voltei - October 22, 2004 04:19 AM (GMT)
I think I have Number One. ((I SO want to play Final Fantasy X-2! ><))

Number Two kinda. ((I can figure things out fairly quickly, but it'll take at least 5 tries to get it perfect))

Number Three yeah. ((I've beaten all my games with as perfect as possible and even talked to every character in my RPGs. XD ))

Number Four yep ((I LOVE playing games after a set period of time. ^_^ It's like watching an old movie. ))

eeeew.... x-2. Nothing against the game itself, but:
only three characters
voice acting
All female cast
first real sequel
bad battle system

I just didn't think I'd like it, and it turns out I didn't.

Voltei - October 22, 2004 04:39 AM (GMT)
I'm still pretty motivated to get the game despite the bad reviews. ^_^

Pilaf - October 22, 2004 04:48 AM (GMT)
bad reviews are different than bad experience <_< .

Enigma Zero - October 22, 2004 06:01 AM (GMT)
Uhm...kinda off topic, but I've beaten 90% or more of the games I have picked up. ;)

Pilaf - October 22, 2004 02:47 PM (GMT)
Only if he gets to "pick up" the board and throw it at you in rage. Then he wins.

^ lol, I'm sorry about that... but I didn't think you'd want me to get all mushy and say how much I've missed you ;)

And, Pilaf... hehe, yes I know the secret because I consider myself a gamer, even if life doesn't always permit B)
