Malach and the Tower of Skulls

Ok, this will be one fo the official TCG adventure thread. It will be run by Malach (the mod not the Character). I will be establishing some rules for this thread. For consistency sake, if anyone else wants to do one of these thread, please try to use these rules.

First, I am in the process of creating a map of the land (again to keep consistency). It will indicate major areas, and unexplored area. As the map is developed, more will be revealed.

Now to the rules:

1. Malach is for lack of a better term the "Story Teller" of this thread (essentially a Dungeon Master for a more familar term)
2. The Story Teller's job is to tell the story and reveal the results of characters actions in the story, including combat.
3. I am using basic precentages and character descriptions to determine results of action.
4. Characters can die in this thread. They can only be raised from the dead by action of other characters and certain power/magic items. If your chracter dies, I will put it in his description.
5. I am not about to go and kill characters wholesale. For you to die you must do something stupid (risky is differnet that stupid), and I will always warn you if what you are doing is stupid. I will kill characters heroically.
6. Results of actions are only determined by the story teller, player can state what they are doing, and never determine results.
7. I will discourage battles betwen characters, but will again be the final judge on the battle.
8. The Storyteller is the funal judge of everything in the adventure thread.
9. Anything that you want done secretly please PM the story teller.

Example of game play:

Storyteller (ST): Ok the two of you see a large iron door.
Player 1 (P1): I check the door carefully
Player 2 (P2): I watch our backs
ST: Ok player one, the door is locked and trapped, but you think you can disable the trap and pick the lock. Player 2 you hear a soft footfall comibng from around the corner, Player 1 you don't.
P2: I say" I hear something" and go investigate.
P1: Ok, and I try and disbale the trap.

etc., etc

Anyone character can join an adveture thread if the Storyteller feels they can handle it.

Ok her is the story as it stands.

Pilaf and Crumbface: decided to make a journey to see the all-powerful Malach. Along the way, they discovered a coach that had been attacke by brigands, and followed them as they kidnapped a woman in the coach to their lair.

They quickly dispatch the brigands, plaf fins a treasure chest, Crumbface is about to release the captive.

Voltei: Using the Ring of Animal Insight, Voltei is spying on pilaf and crumb, he has just entered the room as crumbface goes to free the captive.

Sherry: Awaken form her usually nightmare of multi-headed dragons, and gets up to find Voltei.

Naruko's Son: Continues to plot the down fall of Princess Sherry, he decides to leave the Dark Lands to persue aligning with Malach to the South, he begins his journey on horseback and begins to head South. It should take him two weeks to reach his destination.

Dark Ctoon Villian: For some reason is tossing gold out his window.

Crumbface, your pull they gag off the woman who was captured and begin to untie her (Votei you are witnessing the whole event as a mouse). She begins to profusely thank you.

Pilaf you hear this from your room also.

Naruko:

You set out for the Tower, what exactly do you bring with you?

Sherry, you wander out of your bedroom, and find Votei in the study, in a kind of trance, using the ring you gave to him yesturday, what do you do?

so when do me and pilaf make it to your tower?

so how do I participate (this is my 3rd attemp to ask, with on answer yet)

It is about a 2 week journey by foot, you have been gone for half a day.

Queen Toyi and King Triiplex awaken to another pleasant day in the Kingdom of Forum. The attacks of the Fellowship have been few and far between, and your Kingdom has become fairly prosperous. You live in a huge and beautiful castle in the capital city of Triiplexia.

You sit down to breakfast, once again wonderfully cooked by your chef Buck. What do you want to do today?

lol I want to discover any sort of conspirancy against my husband

and ill go...and ill go..............ill...................play in the toy garden were i can....practice my sword swings while having fake flowers popping up.....or ill have a cookie

OK. King Triiplex runs out into the garden, brandishing his sword, demanding cookies.

Toyi, it seem your husband has lost it. It might not be good for the servants to see this. Perhaps he has been put under a magic spell?

or he might gone nuts thinking I am seen other people :huh:

Agian you don't think it is a good idea for the servants and you royla staff to see him acting this way.

I will assume his position without telling him ;)

Triiplex, your are skipping around the gardens demanding cookies, which of course the servant are readily providing, when one of your Councillors comes up to and asks if he can see you in private (the coucillor name is Sileaus).


Toyi, you leave the breakfast table, and head straight to the throne room, and sit upon the kings throne. The throng of attendants and government people look at you. What do you do?

Queen toyi Speaking:
I am going to give my husband a pleasant rest of mind for a while, please give me a full update on EVERYTHING you are keeping for him...which I will confirm with him later!
I hope you give me accurate reports, I appreciate the time and effort you are giving to the kingdom and to remind you what loyalty involvement you have on oath.

Toyi: Your councillors rush off, whispering under their breath. You get little snippets of their whipsering like "kng has gone nuts" and such. You are now alone in the throne room. You have about a hour before they all return with their reports.

Queen Toyi ignores gosseps and patiently waits for the reports! (Ohh wait.. Toyi has an hour so she leaves the room to get her husband a cookie herself and pet him while everyone returns)

You leave the throne room to find King Triiplex, he is no longer in the garden where you left him.

malach, I am sorry, My internet was down (darn you, SBC.) is the tower of skulls thread still open, or is this the only one you're running?

This is a continuation of that, a little more broad. It is in the first page.

ok, i will continue the tower of skulls bit. After pocketing the treasure, I will break the chest (w/ my axe) to search for secret compartents.

Pilaf begins smashing the chest apart (you find nothing but that takes about 5 minutes of time).

Crumbface: You and the female captive are about to begin coversing when you hear a loud smashing coming from down the hall.

Voltei: The same loud smashing

ok, I will go into the other room and see if any of the boxes are not full of food, or barrels that are not full of drink.

Toyi sends some soldiers to look for him and demands the servant (the one who was supposed to be taking care of him) a reason for her faluire
Toyi is worried for him, but still calmed and hoping he has not sufered any harm..

the servant is in yale for being asleep on her duty, some little time in yale will refresh her eyes (if that was her reasons, but toyi is aware that might be some evil plans behind the kings disaperance)

You qickly dispatch soldiers to find him and begin chastising the servant. "But My Lady" the servant interrupts, "he went off with Councillor Sileaus."

Councillor Sileaus! There on you don't trust, now to find where they went.

You continue smashing the chest, deciding to go to the other room next.

I am now waiting for Crumbfaces response.

Triiplex, you follow Sileaus into a secret private meeting area that you have (not even the queen knows about it). And he begins to tell you that spies have confimred that Naruko is planning on getting the Wizard Malach to align with the fellowship.

Malach. That would not be good.

*Voltei guides the mouse towards the sound of the smashing*

Voltei mouse goes down the hall back to the room the Pilaf was in and see Pilaf smashing apart the chest with his axe. After a minute the chest is in pieces, and Pilaf cross the hall to the room with the Foodstuffs

You notice from the edge of you trance, that some has entered the room that Voltei the man is in.

queen toyi, just seats until the King is back, she will move a finger only after 24 hours, still the servant is in yale because she violated the rule to let the king go with other than her.. well still Queen has a suspicious thought, because why the councellor took him away ;)

Queen Toyi sits in the garden waiting for the King to reappear. The gaurds take away the crying servant. 20 minutes pass and still no sign of the King. You figure you have another 20 minute before you are expected back in to the throne room.
