A surprise prize will go to the winner of this contest if they can find the answer & give proof of the answer to a simple question! The contest question is:
What is the name of the song playing on the main page of the site?
Good Luck!
Crystal Velvet - June 7, 2003 08:26 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry about that, I should have been more clear.
I didn't mean the message board. I meant the main page of the website.
Go to site listed below (the main page), listen to the song, and help me out if you can. :)

Well, you know the funny thing is that I don't know where I got the midi from. I found it somewhere online a few years ago and I found it on one of my diskettes recently. Unfortunately, I named the song "unknown" on this diskette and thus I have no clue what the name of the song is nor where it came from.
This is why I have asked for proof regarding all answers, because I myself do not know the answer. yeah. So, you'd probably have to find the song on another website that actually knows the name. Or if you're absolutely sure, you can provide some other kind of proof.
I suppose the closest thing to a clue I can give is that I like video games, anime, computer games, many of the cartoon shows on cartoon network, music of almost any kind (including classical, but not country), and stuff like that.
I do have an extensive Zelda midi collection, so that is a pretty good guess. ^_^ If you can prove it, congrats!
Good Luck! :)

I'm really sorry for the confusion. I have added a link to the site that this message board belongs to at the top of the Message Board.
Click on the link, and you'll find my site --> Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide
The midi playing in the background is a song I don't know the name of. I'd like to know the name of the song, and if anyone who visits my site and can figure it out will win the contest. :)
I do realize that this is a very difficult contest, but I do hope someone will be able to win.
Gogeta ssj5 - September 8, 2003 11:40 PM (GMT)
Did anyone ever win this contest because I wasn't here when they did this.
Crystal Velvet - September 9, 2003 03:55 AM (GMT)
Nope, this contest is still OPEN. ^_^
Nobody has correctly found the name of the song that plays on the main page of the website that this board belongs to. I myself do not even know the name of the song, and that is why I'm hoping someday someone will know the answer. I realize that it's like finding a needle in a haystack. But it is the ultimate contest this site is holding at the moment.
Gogeta ssj5 - September 9, 2003 08:42 PM (GMT)
Hey thanks for telling me taht I migth try to find what song that is.
Birdman Gleep Mutt - September 14, 2003 04:12 AM (GMT)
Cool. I am starting my website and I am making my own song.I am getting forms of DBZ,ZOIDS,and my drum set.Me and my friend David put the two forms of music together, I am doing the drums and he is doing the gutar. The song is almost done. Me and David just have a little bit of work to do on it. My website is going to be so sweet. I think I have got the winning place. :D
Crystal Velvet - September 17, 2003 01:07 AM (GMT)
Woah! That sounds so cool. I've always wanted to do midi sequencing, but I don't have the hardware to do it. My friend used to have it, but I don't get to see her much anymore.
Please tell me when your site is up and running!

i cant here the music at all :weirdalien:
Crystal Velvet - October 6, 2003 04:43 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure why you can't hear the music. Are you talking about the main page to the site or just this message board? The contest is for the song playing on the main page of Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide, which is the main site that goes with this message board. I believe the coding for the main page is the same as the coding I used for the message board.
Perhaps it wasn't working earlier and its back now? It's working fine for me. I'm using Internet Explorer. Perhaps you have it turned off in your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, click on
Tools and then
Internet Options. At the top there should be a tab that says
Advanced, click on that and scroll down until you see
Multimedia. Make sure you check the boxes that say "play music in webpage" and stuff like that.
Please let me know if you still can't hear it.
Just Click Here for the link to the mystery song:

Crystal Velvet - October 18, 2003 06:57 AM (GMT)
Once again, I must ask if you can't hear the music on the main page of Cartoon Orbit the Complete Guide or just the music on this message board? I need to know which one it is, so I can fix it. Thanks!

Crystal Velvet - October 23, 2003 07:02 AM (GMT)
That is so weird, because I can hear it perfectly. Hmmmm....
Well, I have a solution. Give me until the weekend, and I'll try to fix it then. I'll post when I've tried to fix it and you can tell me if it's working for you.

I double checked my answer with windows media player search and im sure im right that it is suffering planet from final fantasy 7. i figured it out from a remix and then there is a site that goes onlong with original info.
Big Uncle Gorilla - January 25, 2004 03:41 AM (GMT)
for the record ffvii is my least favorite in the series. i only played thru it once. i'm trying to place the song just by the title. is it from the snow boarding game in the golden saucer?
i heard a rumor that they were animating a ffvii movie, like ff: the spirits within.
Voltei - January 25, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
It's true.
Many thought it was going to be a full-fledged game, but it's just a 3d animated feature.
Big Uncle Gorilla - January 25, 2004 03:53 AM (GMT)
my biggest problem w/ ffvii was that its more movie than game (i thinks there's a 45 min cinema in there). it'll make a better movie than an rpg.
great goku oolong, i am curious where in the game the song is from, if you happen to know or could find it.
Voltei - January 25, 2004 03:57 AM (GMT)
It can't be worse than FFX though. A lot of the game was movies or cutscenes.
The story and characters made up for it though.
super saiyan 4 goku - January 25, 2004 06:33 AM (GMT)
i dont like final fantasy
great goku oolong - January 25, 2004 02:32 PM (GMT)
im not sure which part of the game it is in but i think its on the third disc. i haven't played the game in a while but i just knew the song was on there
Crystal Velvet - January 31, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
Yay! Someone has a good guess! It is very possible that it's from FFVII. I'm not sure, myself. So, I'll do some searching and if I find a site that has it listed by that name - you win!
It is true that there is going to be a FFVII movie, it's called Advent Children and it looks very cool. I visit the Japanese Square-Enix site every once and a while, and happened to see the trailer there. Check it out if you've got some free time. I don't think the animation quality is as good as Spirits Within, though (from the trailer).
It's kinda funny because I like a lot of things about the FF franchise and there are other things I just can't stand. FFVII is probably my favorite title in the series, because I loved the characters and how they were developed in the game. I haven't bonded with any FF characters like that since.
Oplasma45 - January 31, 2004 08:02 PM (GMT)
You've been gone for awhile Crystal. What happend?
inuyasha saotome - January 31, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
Voltei - February 1, 2004 12:57 AM (GMT)
FFX would be my favorite one in the series.
For some reason, it just seemed more well polished than FFVII in my mind.
